I found your video after searching for information about the Montreal tower after I saw the movie mind field made in 1989. The beginning of the movie was filmed in the funicular

I finally get to see this place again !!! I was there in 2003 (I was 4 yo), I don't exactly remember the ride in the funicular, but I remember about that small platform lift at the top. I remember playing with it when a security guard (a woman, it might still be the one I saw at 9:43 XD) came and jokingly said that "you'll go to jail if you continue playing with this elevator" XD ! Out of many things in Montreal which I don't remember very well, I remember that one single sentence ! :)
Thanks for filming this place !

Finally! I actually get to see some video of the Olympic Tower in Montreal, QC! BTW... Did you know that the Bio-dome was actually featured in a scene from "Guardians of the Galaxy"? At least that's from what I heard...

The Olympic Stadium was dubbed “The Big Owe” by locals as it cost a fortune to build. Montreal did not finish paying off debts from the 1976 Olympic Games until 2006. The roof for the stadium was not completed until 1987 and it was fraught with technical limitations. The first roof, colored orange was made of Kevlar and retractable. It lasted only eleven years and had been torn apart by winds on a few occasions. The 1998 season was played for the Expos in open air as a result. A replacement steel nonretractable blue colored roof was installed the following year. It has the limitation of not holding up well to snow. They cannot hold events in the Olympic stadium in the winter time when the roof has more than 3 cm of snow on it. Plans are underway to build a third roof that will be retractable again.

BTW... Obviously that Asian (or at least who sounds like an Asian) guy speaking in the background starting at 14:33 kinda cracked me up because he has the whole stereotypical Asian ascent -- no offense okay. Sorry...
