I drove over to Key West with my dad and brother in November shortly before the pandemic. We ended up doing Thanksgiving dinner at the conch fritter stand next to Clinton Square lol.
@@WoltersWorldEats Definitely. In fact, probably the best Thanksgiving we ever had was with all of us, plus my mom, at a Cracker Barrel in Williamsburg Virginia when I was in high school. Even if the food was nothing out of the ordinary, we had a fantastic time as a family.
Can’t wait to be in Key west next month!! Hope most of this yummy seafood is in season!! I can’t wait to try the conch and key lime pie!!! I made an itinerary based on your videos!!
Are you allergic to seafood?! Good grief, be careful with that. Some allergies get worse the more you are exposed. Lobster is good but Not, my-throat-is-closed good!!
Pink and black, served with mustard and cold. I cannot remember the name and it is only when they are in season. You missed grouper too. Conch is no big thing. I want to say snow crab.
We very rarely name restaurants unless we personally know the chef or owners because, all too often we find places change over time, sometimes for the worse. I'd hate to tell you to go somewhere then find mgmt changed and the place is terrible.
Airfares really depend on where you’re flying from. Round trip from Houston averages about $250 right now, with United offering under $200 round trip nonstop.
We almost never do that. Even if a place is excellent, if we don't know the owners we don't recommend it because it may change quickly. If we know the owners and know they have every intention of keeping it for a long time then we may recommend a place.
We almost bumped into each other I was supposed to go to Key West a couple weeks ago. We botched the accommodation. It's the most expensive tourist spot I know of. Being a budget traveler living not too far away haven't gone in 5 years for a reason. A hostel bed is $80.
@@WoltersWorldEats If there's a big don't with key west is don't skip the other keys. John pennekamp in key largo is awesome. I usually stay with a friend in homestead and drive there which makes the stay free
My MIL is a conch, born and raised on Pine St in Old Town KW. Read the history of why conch is a thing in KW. Once you do you will not eat it. Natives never do, only the tourists eat that nasty stuff.
No on conch.. 😆 probably the worst thing I have ever eat mark . There also places that will cook your catch. At least there was when I went about 11 years ago.
Cook your catch places are fantastic! There should be more of them in the world. Really, no conch? I think its pretty great, especially as ceviche. Is it a texture thing? It is pretty chewy which grosses some ppl out.
Possibly my favorite food video on your channels. 👍 All delicious. All excellent recommendations. 🦞Mark recommends the local spiny lobster but actually shows two Maine/Canadian big claw lobsters. 😆😆

Much Love and Thanks to my Outstanding Guest Host and Husband, Mark for Helping out on Today's Video. 💛 You are my (rock) Lobster 🦞

Glad I could help out on your traveling food series Simply Jocelyn!
What’s the name of the place you show all those food please

I have been to Key West many times and ate the great Mahi Mahi and coconut Shrimp but you left this off. Amazing
My wife and I frequent Banana Cafe every morning we're in KW for lobster eggs benedict, mimosas and cafe lattes. Amazing!
Yummy!!!

So accurate about no green key lime pie! Also for Cuban, El Siboney is the way to go. Locations in Key West and Stock Island.
Conch is amazing ❤️
El Sibonay! You won’t be disappointed!
Ate at MO’s after watching this…the food was amazing!
We go there in three weeks ! Thank you very much for all advices!😋😉
Have fun!
I’ve been waiting for this!
I want to try the conch so bad. The lobster looks to die for. Definetly worth the Benadryl

What restaurant did you get the cracked conch?
If I had to choose a way to go, death by Key Lime Pie is definitely near the top of my list. Truly my favorite pie, hands down.
The pink crab front claw.

Stone crab! Ipad will not let me edit.
Names of restaurants would be amazing!

I ate so much key lime pie lol! and have to recommend the stone crab as well. Pepe’s Cafe is a great local restaurant off the main drag.
I could eat Key Lime pie for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ate there! Loved it!
I do not think many know about the stone crab. Do not seem to be familiar with grouper either.

Hello Maggie 👋👋👋
From Galveston, Carnival stops at key west on its eastern Caribbean tours. Thanks for giving us some info about it!
woops, wrong account again.
You can comment with either account, I know who you are.😉 Mark.will have more vids on WW coming.
Love Key lime pie!
Yes to this entire video 😊
Where can u get the rock lobster ? What restaurant and what restaurant for conch ??
I think it's mostly spiny lobster in KW. In season, you'll find both at many restaurants there.
please supply restaurant names and what you ordered.

At .34 seconds the meringue key lime pie where is that location ????? Please and thank you

Pepe’s is excellent
Which restaurant was your lobster from?
Hi Marc, what's the best way to get to key west? : )
You Can try a flying carpet
Kerm mits is the best key lime pie
Interesting).
So, you didn't mention when...what time of the year is rock lobster season?
August thru March.
I went to the keys once. It was more about drinking than eating.
I'm looking all Homer Simpson right now watching this video 😂😂
🤣
I can color my key lime pie green if I want! Green key lime pie with my green eggs and ham!🙏
Who doesn't like topless pie 😅
😜🤣
Your video for Florida Keys Spiney Lobster isn't correct. It is spiney for a reason, you basically get meat in the tail and it has no claws.
Thought you were saying cock not conch lol😂. Great job sir!
There's no claws on Florida lobsters, so I wouldn't say that's fresh local seafood.....

Taking wife there in September 2021 for wedding anniversary. Going to visit Latitudes restaurant for romantic dinner.
