The fight against entropy is an ever worthy thing, and doug, clint and the team, did a great job, I'm glad there are people who have deep pockets to pay for this, wooden boats are a labour of love for those who work on them and those who pay for that work, cant wait for the next video, climax of 76 videos and 4 years! ;)
Wow, thanks so much Charles, for allowing me to come along for the journey of the refit. Thanks Doug and Clint and everybody else for letting me see the beautiful craft of a boatwright. What joy you must all be feeling with the end near now. What an awesome thing to accomplish. Thank you all for the wonderful content over the past 4 years, may you always have fair winds and following seas. Congratulations to all.
I watched every episode and sad (in some ways) to see the project done. I have learned more about boat design, repair, timber, epoxy, painting etc., etc. than I could have from a 100 books. Can't wait to see the hull painting, launch and some sailing. Thanks to Charles, Doug, Clint and all involved for sharing this.
I agree with everyone about missing the refit..But, it's a success . HELL YA ! What a great trip it has been , thank's to Doug and Clint and Charles . And I'm sure many more talented people who have worked on this . A sincere thank you, to all !
Wow, Charles, last episode in Doug's shop. I am going to miss it. At the same time I hope you will continue to publish Susanna launch and cruising adventures. Best luck with the launch!
Good thinking but it`s a long shot,, better to appeal to Clint for a YT channel with collective suport form viewers, GoPro cameras and whatever,, recording whenever mighty Doug are in teaching mood.
What a journey! Can't wait for the splash, and to see her under sail again. What a beautiful boat! BTW, you may want to edit the title and adjust the date back to 2016 (unless you have already mastered time travel ;-) )
Man o man, I needed that fix - when's the next one.👍great update thank you. I do not recall any mention of the engine or work related to it - what's the story there?
I have some questions. Susanna was launched in January? Is she ported in Santa Barbara or Channel Islands? I have sailed many miles along the CA coast, mostly out of Morro Bay but am quite familiar with south of Conception. I don't do facebook but I did find your channel there and saw a wee bit of what was posted. She is gorgeous.

it's been great to see the work on Susanna throughout this series. May she give you and yours years of great sailing. All the best.
Every time I watch a new episode, I just see one stunning boat. She's a goddess, can't wait for the splash.
mama mia, Im excited to see her cutting through the water.

Great project! Looking forward to launch.

Charles. Where are the last videos? Launch, rigging, final commission and the first cruise? we love this story! we want to see the end!
Been following from the beginning, just love it, even though I'm afraid of boats and the ocean, go figure lol
Boy am i going to miss Doug and his Dream-team when this is over...
Me too. Perhaps Doug could persuade the owners of the boat behind Susanna to make a video diary of her restoration too?

Hope so. Doug is my guru. "the thing about tar is that it's tar." The man is an absolute legend!
Totaly agree...!
Burlats de Montaigne - I believe the boat behind Susana is available; send a check and Doug and Clint can start on it for you.
"As long as I'm on the water". TRUE THAT!........... 😎

I can't find the actual move and launch. Did you miss it or is it just me?

Coming soon. Sorry.
Looking forward to it.
Dolphinite came into existance about the time Flipper disappeared.
Last video September 19th, 2016 - sadly Susanna must have gone to the bottom with all hands???
i wonder how doug will feel, after spending so many years for this project, to send susanna away.
