After 50 years or so of photography Ive tried most gear at some time or another. Filters came and went, starburst to 10 stop ND on a 5x4, all so necessary at the time, or so I thought. My most recent use was an orange on a Q2M, although thats now gone. I only shoot wildlife now so any exposure correction is done in post and mostly wide open and gagging for more light rather than less while in Norfolk woodlands. Magnetic seems the way forward.
Haha I think I have a starburst cokin filter in a drawer somewhere, now you mention it 🤔 Maybe I'll have to crack out some of the bizarre filters for a future video 😆 And yeah totally agree when it comes to wildlife - if only someone made a negative ND that somehow magically amplified the amount of light entering the camera!
@@robert_may Remembering to take filters off is essential. Ide been doing some work at Silverstone, with a starburst and on the way near home came across a fire. The paper loved the fire pictures despite the strange highlights.
Hehe. I saw your name yesterday when I was trying to figure out why comittizen was failing and came across your MR that changed the default clone depth to 20. I had added enough commits after I first enabled comittizen that the starting point was no longer cloned 😢. But I got it figured out 😊

Cardiff bay! Beautiful place
Wow that Sigma 50mm f1.2 has a really amazing look to it.
Yeah! It's a really impressive lens. Now I just need to come up with a fun location to film a full video about it 😅

Haha that was a while ago! One of those annoying limits I had to add because of some bizarre performance issues that only appear at scale, I suspect 😆
