I'll be watching the movie later this week but I've been listening to and reading the material around it. I love how you phrased that aspect of how suppressing our wants and desires is a lose-lose proposition. And yet, this is what women have been socialised into as the norm. Femininity. Being everything for everyone, but at the cost of ourselves. So this is a good reminder to get off that self-abandonment and self-immolation train and center our needs in all our engagements.
I was disappointed that Nicole couldn't come I have been wanting to meet her for so long and really thought this year was going to be my big opportunity to meet her she's amazing 😍😍😍
The director has a phisophical foundation and that is humans have instincts which cant be judged by moral ideas or social modesty created by societal rules esoecially against women. The question was asked and left open for interpretations, respecting everyone's culture, faith, and religion.
well the audience there just saw the movie and these Q&As are for after the movie to give some context and insight for what they have just seen not for people who havent seen it
Love this q & a!! Halina is so eloquent and thoughtful, and I loved hearing her points about how women view their bodies.

I cannot believe the host gave us the ending to the movie.

I think the director wants this movie to have some wild discourse surrounding that, but it's a little too tame for that.
