Wow! That Skil 3/8 drill you said was worn out is identical to my drill! I think I have had that drill since I worked at Ace Hardware as a kid. So, I guess it is over 40 years old! Mine is still going, but probably never used as much as yours. Lost the chuck key years ago and never could find one that fit right. Anyway, I guess we all get something different from each video. Thanks!
Those drills aren’t meant to run continuously, like you say they get too hot. Glad to see that your subs keep growing, way to go ol boy!!! I watch every day.
Good morning Gary, Ya, a lot of people seem to think Wolves are heavier than they are. 149 lbs is a damned big wolf. Sorry to hear you lost your bees. I enjoyed watching you folks dealing with them. Yesterday I started setting up the North line. It was a cold windy day but wasn't bad in the forest. I didn't see any wolf tracks or Lynx tracks. I did see some Fisher tracks though. Now when I go and do checks, I will keep adding more sets as time allows. Have a good day my friend.
We ended up going to Dillon, Montana today, so I'm late getting back to ya. I hope you had a great day! If I can, I want to find a new spot, or maybe just go to hunting them? That is huge! They always look big with the hair on, but peeled off, they look more like a Greyhound! I hope you do great in the new spot. You have been catching a good amount already.
Some cool information while you were pumping water! Good thing you have a bunch of drills lol! Thats to bad about your bees!! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Happy New Year hope the new year is very Blessed. I missed you yesterday I think!! That is a big wolf! It hasn't been that cold yet has it? In Nebraska they have been having bee losses for several years. All of the crap they spray in the air is causing everything to die or get sick. That just doesn't seem right on that deer, something's off there🤔. What are they doing to the deer.
Yes I think the stuff being sprayed is killing and making everything sick. Bees are tiny so it wouldn't take much to take them out, plus whatever is being sprayed ends up in the pollen most likely. I also think that the huge overabundance of electromagnetic energy that we are constantly bombarded with 24/7 is affecting the bees and every other living thing. Makes me wonder how well the bee populations are holding up in the remote corners of the earth? I would assume that it would be much better the farther away from 'civilization' that you can get.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! No, it hasn't been that cold at all compared to most Winters. I was surprised to find them dead. It's hard to know what is happening. None of our wildlife is plentiful anymore. That deer is amazing. I don't know what they would be able to do to cause that, but it's sure not a "normal" deer.
Good morning! Jack Whitman came to our trapping class.what a treat that was.so much good information. Too bad about the bees! I like honey and its getting more and more expensive and now i know why. Those farmed deer are ridiculous.its funny how far greed goes.nothing will ever be good or big enough.i couldnt hang something not natural on my wall.its kinda embarassing.thanks and have a great day!
Jack is a great guy! He's a good friend, but isn't doing very well.....I need to go see him. I agree with you. A mutant deer would be interesting, but it's cheating......dang bugs....
Good morning 😊 artic air coming in. Brrr..70 yesterday but won't get above freezing next week.. got all my outdoor stuff done yesterday shame about your bees.
Good morning Gary. Really sorry about your bees. That's kinda worrisome too. We need those guys. My friend Jimmy killed a whitetail over 200 lbs. one time but I don't know anything about scoring deer. Anyway I hope yall have a lovely day. Thanks!
Good Morning! Yeah, I hate that we lost 'em. Whitetail can get big! Guiding Hunters, I told my hunters that deer and elk ony come in three sizes.....Small, Big, and Holy Crap! Scoring really means nothing to me either.
One of the biggest wolves caught here, where I am, was 9 years ago. He weighed around 175 lbs. Those wolves are called "polar wolves", and they're found in the far north. Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
Good morning Gary. A few of my neighbors have bees. I'll have to quiz them how their hives are doing. I witnessed a swarm a couple times over the years when bees were looking for a new home. That's neat to see. You and Ms Cindy enjoy your day. Take care.🇺🇲🌲🔥🔪
Good morning! Please do. I would like to know too. I've only seen two swarms in my life, but it is pretty neat....as long as it's not your bees! Maybe we can catch one someday and try again.
We lost all (4 hives) of our bees 2 falls ago. Varroa mites got them. It was our first time dealing with those mites and we waited to long to apply chemicals. Paid $400 this past spring for 3 new starts of bees. They did really good over the summer and as soon as we took off the supers, they got treated twice over a 2 month period with formic acid. I have seen all three hives out on cleansing flights over the past week. They are making it so far. Will start checking their feed later this month and on into spring. Bees take a lot of worrying after to keep them healthy. We could have made all that spent money back this season had we sold honey. Of course, we just gave most to friends and family.
That's great! Good luck with them, it is a lot of fun really. I kind of think mites might have got these too. The formic acid packs we put in didn't have as much smell as usual. Maybe too old? I probably should have reduced the hive down to just one box too. Maybe too much air space? It really hasn't been that cold though. Right now it's 9:30 pm and 30F.
@@MuskratOutdoors We have been keeping bees for 3 years. This is only the second time we have bees going into winter so I am no expert. Even the experts lose a lot of bees to mites. The Formic Pro strips have a 2 year expiration date and that date is stamped on each packet. There are 2 things that i believe are the most important for bees to survive winter. 1. A large number of them to provide enough warmth. 2. A very low mite count . Zero if possible. As hobbiest beekeepers with a few hives, we can always pop the lids for some sugar bricks and winter pollen patties. Starving bees shouldn't be an issue. Last season, we had a b rand new queen that was a really poor egg layer. We made sure there was a few fresh eggs and then we smushed her. That was a disappointing thing to have to do. The hive shortly recovered and is now doing well.
A buddy of mine raises bee's for a living he's lost more in the last couple years than he has in years. He sends his south on a semi truck to Florida for the winters for pollination for fruit trees

Sorry to hear about the bees. New years eve, about 8pm, i was walking back to my camp when i spotted 3 sets of eyes reflected in the light from my headlamp. Thought it was deer but then realized the eye shine wasn't the right shade of yellow. Turned up the beam and it was 3 wolves standing there 25ish yards away looking back me! They turned and slow ran off over the hill. Only saw them clearly for 5 seconds, but thats long enough. Later, i thought about you trying to find them and here they are running right past my camp.
When you cross the Mackinack bridge going into the Upper Peninsula at the Welcome Center they have a full wolf mount in a glass showcase sitting on the floor. Same here. It's not near as easy as people think it is. Tons of things to go wrong!
@MuskratOutdoors you're sure right, ants, mites, temps, parasites, having to much space or not enough, it's never ending.
