Riri’s vocals and emotions!!! Hands down still one of her best songs until this day.
This song was her first solo song that came out after the Chris Brown incident (Run This Town came out before this but she was only a featured artist).This was the first song released on her Rated R album.Such an intense and impactful song. When she says "as my life flashes before my eyes I'm wondering will I ever see another sunrise" she may be referencing to the incident (the police report said she was unconscious at one point). When she said "so many won't get the chance to say goodbye" I believe she's talking about the many victims that die from domestic violence. This is a very deep song on so many levels. I gotta give NeYo his props for co-writing and co-producing this masterpiece! This is one of Rihanna's most revealing songs. You should react to her song Take A Bow next. This song was about the Chris Brown incident where he physically abused her. It came out a few month afterwards.
The two of them were like Bobby and Whitney. Toxic in the end, but their chemistry and energy was so electric and magical 💯 I think they're almost too wild for eachother. They need partners that will balance them out. 😂

This song was the first single of ''Rated R''. This song was a risk because it's was very dark, morbid and sinister. This song was very a risky choice for a first single at a time who she not a superstar like today. And 10 years later, this ballad was timeless and very powerful in the message and the voice.
This album came after the incident. The whole album was GREAT.
I think you're going to love Stay ft Mikky Ekko; the sound is pretty different from Rihanna's other stuff but it's a good song nonetheless. I feel like Talk That Talk doesn't get that much attention either but the video is pretty visually captivating in my opinion. Oh and S&M!! That song was banned from TH-cam when it first came out because it was the most explicit song Rihanna had ever released before.
