3:04 Sometimes when you are snowballing someone's block, you can enter focus during the hits. However, to do this, you need to catch a clear timing: slow down your m1s very much and spam the focus button. This trick allows you to 100% start focus in a chain of m1s on a block. The main requirement: GOOD PING. If you want I can show it in practice on roblox or discord
Honestly, Chronos isn’t for me. I’m an aggressive fighter and I don’t like giving my opponent room to breathe. You either tank my punches, or your block does.
Here's a tip from a decent chrinos player (btw im on PS so idk about Xbox) if your focus isn't completely filled you can just go into emote wheel and press R2 to use whatever emote is in your top slot
In focus Even though i hit them while they should be stuck in punch animation they can still dashout somehow.Which It make Chronos unplayable against really good player (rank 19000+all know it)
They aren’t stuck in the animation actually. As the video said both of you are put into neutral. Personally I like to do a feint immediately after against higher rank players
@@c-joestar69 true true but if you can utilise the focus then you have the best counters in the game and above hitman level speed it's the perfect counter style
Yeah. But. Hands low has a more consistent gameplay. Hands low has non-telegraphing punches. 100 Hp (compared to 80 hp. Hands low is more tankier.) The counter intake on Hands low is nothing since your dashes are near-broken. Alongside your speed. Has a faster walk-speed, But yeah. Potential wise? Chronos can outperform Hands low. But overall. It's always a 65/35 for Hands low due to how consistent and simpler its gameplay and usage is. And. In base mode. 9/10 In a battle of countering, Hands low is simply just better. More counter damage. (The m2 DMG is the same as Bullet?) and its walkspeed is able to give you an in-and-out gameplay. Better dashes. Non-telegraphed punches despite both having the same attack speed. The counters inflicted on you are so minimal. (Bonus since Chronos has dogwater counters on base.)
A strat I like to use as a fellow Chronos style enjoyer is using ult where it doesn't ko the opponent yet, then using focus mode after the ult ends (people like to mash m1's right after ult as to not eat more damage or gain permanent damage. People like to back dash after ult as well and using focus mode after ult stops that). Using focus mode after ult has proven to be pretty broken, at least when I use it (even against higher lvl players). Also, using focus mode after your opponent ults you early where you don't get koed is good to get away so they don't keep mashing m1s at you.
Chronos is like an install character in a fighting game, with the install being S tier but the base character is F tier. Like yeah you can have fun and win matches...but you gotta actually play as normal chronos. What they should do is buff normal Chronos but keep Focus the same.
Well it's leagndry and it is walking thro hell to get focus or even lower state then all commons they must just buff normal states DMG speed on the basic mode if they don't want it to be meta
Nah chronos base is so weak because focus can be crazy good. But working so hard to lose focus from 1 m1 is too bad, they should make it so getting hit with an m1 takes away like 20 percent of the focus, rather than losing it all at once.
From my perspective (a person who got to 15.5k currently with chronos), counters are your main way of regenerating your focus. It's just more consistent than pds and emoting feels like bad taste. Of course you can do that but counters are probably the best thing to learn. You also can use focus when they're mid swing which prevents pds on you.
things i've from dancing against users with chronos when they use their ability they'll i mean no joke use their m1 and if you have insane reaction time like I, you will immediately dodge which direction the m1 is coming in (even purely by reflexes) preventing them to use there ability leaving them defenceless. also the thing i've learnt about people who use chronos, they usually dont wait even though they play passive if you play passive back if you're aggressive just wait they then become impatient, so basically you have to play like a counter player wait, watch and learn simple as that by near round two you can go full aggression if they become rational and start to go survival mode and get reckless. just make sure to know when to time your dodges against the style and it should be easy. imo
i used to use chronos a bunch and i’d use timestop right before i got hit or when they attack (or dodge doesnt matter) because it trips them up sometimes and they got shocked expecting that their m1 hits therefore they most of the time arent ready to dodge.
Hey, One more thing to add for chronos users, if you even want to know this. With Focus, you can emote to gain the bar IN focus. It increases duration, but it really isnt useful atp unless your opponent is more passive than a hitman pre backdash nerf.
3:04 if u use focus while they feint, and you m1 immediately, they have alot more endlag and they cant dodge, its good to use focus when the opponent m2s and try your best to press it at the very end of their m2 for maximum time stopping effect on the opp
I'm not sure if it's guaranteed (3:06), but I do know that last I played Chronos (before the Shotgun rework) you were able to interrupt your opponents attacks with the Focus Activation. This was good because it allowed you to deck them in the teeth as a result of just fishing for a punch, but it probably doesn't work anymore. Edit: I saw it happen at 5:34 and that actually really confused me. The opponent had their attack interrupted, attempted to backdash (and it went nowhere??) and they got pummeled through said backdash. It leads me to THINK that interrupting an attack would work though.
Honestly, hands low, this is the best version of chronos, Hands low has all the same features, but without the focus mod and with the Hitman's strike speed.
Chronos literally translates to time, so I believe this class could use a buff or, even better, a rework. It would be great to see a skill that actually manipulates time, rather than just boosting your character's animation speed and damage. Incorporating more time-based mechanics would make the class feel more true to its name.
If you are new and you got freedom dont ask others if it is good or bad just practice his ablity and spam it so you regenerate your stamina fast and also he had da smash m2 when you are in smash mode id likely to use the flicker one so i can counter basic attacks and switch to smash mode if the opponent is blocking very much.
If you use focus mode when your opponent is in the middle of a hit then that’s when it stops them from attacking, this lets you get a free chain off of them.
When timing m1s do not immediately just turn on focus that case your apponents can read you easily, if you really like to time your punches or either always gets panic user focus when you hitted your apponent with heavy that case he will dash immediately thinking you might just punch him, turn on focus and completely m1 him, when your stamina almost runs out stop first when the apponent unblocks punch and dash, Note: (This only works when you cornered your enemy in the ring, do not get closer to the enemy give the enemy atleast a space so he won't glitch)
As a Chronos main, I recommend watching the dude from 7stackin's video on "Fighting the best Chronos main" IMO, that guy plays very well. He isn't too passive nor aggresive, and he uses emotes properly
Whenever i fight a chronos, i just wait for them to use the focus since they are obviously gonna use it, and once they do i immediately backdash so they cant combo with focus and i just m1 them. Chronos focus is so easy to cancel when the player using it doesnt know how to connect after using it

I (a 5.5k kd interim) was fighting against an 8k or so unified champ, and I was knocked 0-1 while he still had 80% of his healthbar. I spent a little time cornering him before popping the focus on his whiffed m2. Boom, 80% of his health gone without me ever leaving focus. I still lost, but like goddamn, do yall realize how fun this style is, while also packing so much potential?
Another way to Use Focus Mode for you guys is if you see an M2, It a Bit iffy and I can't grantee it always work, but because When you use Focus it sorta stops any attack but your opponent still put in the End lag of their M2.
I've been winning countless matches with base Chronos though... 3:00 How did you forget using focus mode when opponent's guard broken?
Not quite effective.
The activation of the ability is also enough to make the opponent to backdash
@@roi1955 When an opponent gets guard broken and you use your R you have enough time to m1 ive quite literally done it a lot of times
@@MoBallin though sometimes it doesnt happen for me
So basically if your opponent's block gets broken and you activate focus theres a little window of your opponent managing to dodge away if he/she times it correctly.
So its not quite always the case that its guaranteed or not
