THE SILENT YEARS OF SLAPSTICK COMEDY

- A brief look at the heyday of silent screen comedy. The music is the Main Title piece from the 1977 not-so-classic "WON TON TON The Dog Who Saved Hollywood" starring Madeline Kahn. I felt it went well with the slapdash days of thrills and laughter.

Yes,Great video great channel.
This, like this, without context and just this, reminds me of some weird scenes in anime presented with the same form: you cannot explain them, but yes, they're funny with no denial!
Nichijou basically.
Whereas Topical humour is funny when the moment happens & after that ends up disappearing in obscurity; Slapstick is the Universal language of humour, take a situation where one in reality just ends up killing them just turns into a minor irritance!
Hahaha!!! This video was so hilarious!!!
great collection of classic slapstick comedy
10 years and I’m the only 1 who’s seen your comment
I just love silent slapstick movies and haven't seen any for such a long time. Thank you for sharing. I had quite a laugh!
I love the comedy in the silent movies. It's the best. I love watching silent movies
Just goes to show you shouldn't knock something because it's old. There's some very clever, very funny and timeless comedy here.
New stuff always borrows from the old. People just dont' know it yet when they are young and clueless. lol
Very nice love these old films :)
1:31 they know what vacuum look like in the future
LOL XD This video is truly funny! I definitely love slapstick comedy. Cause the scenes in this video easily make me laugh so hard!😂😂 I love classic comedies.
Slapstick comedy is the classical element of all forms of comedy. Now comes the part we all throw our heads back and laugh. Ready?
This is awesome 🤣 Today’s comedies needs to be more clever and more physical like this
Amen, brother, good thing I have knacks for these kinds of comedies.
those who disliked this video are those who dont know what real fun is!
lol!that was so funny!
the kid at 00:53 is such a brat....and sooooooooo adorable!!
wonder where he is now :D
Where is the bit at 1:35 from?? Where he hoovers the curtains. A great video, well put together.
love your video, but I also loved Won Ton Ton!
just a Yuro fan checking things out
Knowing how basic of equipment they had to work with makes this marvelous.
The movies pumped out nowadays have great special effects but honestly the quality, the effort to really make something outstanding, just isn't there.
I'm not sure if that's Spanky, but the guy getting punched is Harry Langdon not Stan Laurel. Hope that helps.
Who would win?
-a 10000 tons of steel with bigger guns
-3 flying topedo bois sended by an oversized washboard
"How to Ryuujo, by Yuro"
Hi guys does anyone know where the clip at 1:31 is from? It's the one where he hoovers the curtain. I'm a huge slapstick fan, and do slapstick myself. I've been thinking about a routine involving curtains for a while so this would be good for a bit of inspiration! Great video!!
How'd the bit work out? ;)
Back from the days of Fatty Arbuckle, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, and Charlie Chaplin.
Feels creepy
