Expert is about the 3% to 10% range, and Super Expert under 3%. (Unless that's changed significantly over time.) A 5.88% clear rate should leave it well within the Expert range.
You should do a bullet hell series. Feels like right in line with other difficult series you've done. Line up like 10 bullet hell games and try one a week for 10 weeks.
If your brain is numb after the multiplayer level, I suggest you try the bean burrito series. While they will make your brain number, they will make you appreciate how nice the first level is.
It would really be great if 10:19 was in the Mario Movie... like at the end Jack Black Bowser finds a double cherry to duplicate himself and then Chris Mario notices a very convenient launcher that's just spitting out fire flowers, and so the last ten minutes of the film is nothing but this... yeah, that would be great.

I’ve been harping about wanting Ryu to return to MM2 because there is just such a vast improvement in the level quality and creativity when compared to the thrown together messy levels you see in MM1. The big problem with those bullet hell levels is that youtube sucks and immediately lowers the quality to 144p instead of spooling out enough data. My computer and connection can show 4k with ease, but youtube is all, "Nah, that's too much on the screen, better dump it to fuzzy mess mode."
