      Ok but... Premillennialism isn't dispensational.
Historic Premillennialism was the eschatology of the church before Constantine.
I repeat. Premillennialism IS NOT Dispensational.
Dispensationalism just made its own version of it. And it's really sad to see the overreaction to it lead to a rejection of premillennialism.

If Jeff smoking a cigar is causing you to stumble, then don’t watch the video. In fact you should probably get off the internet period… a cigar is the least of your worries, there’s much worse temptations on here. Don’t be legalistic, creating laws where God hasn’t spoken. If smoking a cigar is a sin (which it’s not imo) then so is drinking coffee or soda or junk food in general, as all can lead to bad health if done habitually. I understand the weaker brother argument but the whole point was to push the weaker brother into maturity. Paul even rebukes those Jews who were trying to force dietary laws on the gentiles, aka being legalistic. I’m not saying you should light up a cigar in person right next to a brother who was abusing tobacco, but at the same time a weaker brother must mature at some point and can’t expect everyone in the faith to put unnecessary yokes upon themselves and burdens because of their lack of self control. The bottom line is temptation is all around us, that’s why we must level up and put self control into practice by the strength of the Spirit of God. Be disciplined, we’re disciples.

I heard some where that we have Christian liberty to make choices , if you want to smoke than that your choice even if it’s not in the Bible . But we can’t bring it somewhere where it can make people stumble it’s between you and God and then they said that shouldn’t keep you from fellowship with them . I read a lot of comments here that many saying it’s distracting them from listening to the message so it is making many stumble to keep them from listening to the word . I love this man is very gifted with wisdom but many new people who don’t know him , the cigar smoking while speaking about God keeps them from wanting to listen what he has to say . Like I said I had an issue with it and it kept me from listening until I heard that pastor say that so it got me thinking the cigar shouldn’t keep me from listening but the cigar made me stumble a little because It confused me . But I still will listening to him because he has a lot of wisdom to teach his word it’s between him and God ! We have to seek and pray about this . This became more about the cigar than what he had to say and teach so maybe he shouldn’t do it when he is teaching . I don’t know ! Love ya Jeff God bless !

21:35 ... FACTS! Genesis 32: 12 reminds me of Revelation 7: 9 ("After these things I looked, and here was an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands.") - this is referring to the 144,000 Jews who will be sealed to lead the others in their tribes. 12,000 sealed in each tribe. The 'enormous crowd that no one can count' proves that many more than 144k will be with us in the New Jerusalem.

That has to be the hardest sell in the universe, its the complete and total opposite of everything written in the NT and Revelation. Its clear to me people embrace it because they just have a really difficult time believing the prophets. Its not about not understanding them because the words are pretty clear, its about struggling to accept what they say. So they latch on to the idea that none of them actually mean what they say. And of course if they don't mean what they say then they can mean anything to anyone.

Brother Jeff Durbin [in love & sincerity], you are sinning for smoking a cigar during this public Christian presentation. Would this be acceptable while evangelizing the public square or teaching children as well? No, it would clearly not be Biblically wise. What makes this a sin instead of just being unwise is because there are genuine Christians who believe this behavior is sinful, and the Bible has already addressed this scenario in 1 Corinthians 8:10-13 LSB
For if someone sees you, who have knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be built up to eat things sacrificed to idols? [11] For through your knowledge he who is weak is ruined, the brother for whose sake Christ died. [12] And in that way, by sinning against the brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, YOU SIN AGAINST CHRIST. [13] Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again-ever, so that I will not cause my brother to stumble.

One thing is for sure. The way we rule, the way we conquer is by enduring persecution (not denying Jesus). And after we endure, we will rule with an iron rod with him in the resurrection (the completion). That’s from revelation 2-3. The reign of God (kingdom of God) now is the growth of the sermon on the mount attributes (law of God) (the growth of the body of Christ). I think you’re right, Gods law should infiltrate into people’s lives and they might be in rulership positions. But remember we conquer by enduring persecution. Just like Jesus.

If you think smoking a CIGAR is equivalent to weed or getting drunk then the school system has failed you. A case of beer and a hit of weed intoxicates you. Weed and being drunk ARE equivalent.
A cigar isn't even inhaled, and if it were it wouldn't intoxicate you and or change your awareness or sobriety. You can smoke 2 packs of cigarettes and your awareness isn't impacted.
      I hope you understand that.

And it expressed as being IMMEDIATELY after the events in the previous verses!
Because of the rise of Dispensationalism in the Church in the early 1900s, with its futuristic perspective of the New Testament prophecies; are we supposed to accept their premise that the first century believers, all the New Testament writers, the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Christ Himself, AND even God the Father, ALL got it completely and totally wrong, as to the timing and nature of the events foretold in holy writ? Especially when they ALL held to the perspective that their fulfillment was to be in that first century? Well, I am not persuaded by spiritual blindness!

This is a common feature of the theonomic postmillennialism bearded Calvinist crowd. It is meant to appeal to the rebel counter culture young male, and seem like a cooler more masculine form of Christianity. For too long, the weak, feminine American evangelical form of the church, with its “felt needs” and psychological therapeutic religion, created an environment where men coming out of adolescence didn’t feel like they belonged in the church. This new form (going back to the “Young Restless Reformed” movement with Driscoll and others like him) is the “equal and opposite reaction” to that unbiblical imbalance. But Christ never flaunted his liberty in the face of the weak and spiritually needy. He only went out of His way to offend people when they were self-righteousness and placing themselves in spiritual authority over others (scribes, Pharisees…). Biblical manhood has the masculinity of Christ as its standard. 🙏

So, while I personally don't care if you smoke or drink, I just know that it could offend and bother a brother or sister. So I would not do it in front of them, and in this case, I would not do it for a video teaching. I don't think Jeff Durbin would do this if he was standing in a pulpit teaching in an actual church sanctuary. Nor do I think Spurgeon doing that either. It is all a point of context. Postmil ends in universalism and political revolt. God will bring judgement on this. There is much truth in dealing with the prophetic fulfillment of especially, Matt. 24, as it works out with 70AD. But, this is full preterism which entirely evaporates if Revelation is written AFTER 70AD.

Hey Jeff what is the cigar all about? Is it an attention getter just wondering why? I know we are to eat & drink & do all we do for the glory of God but does that include smoking a cigar while handling Gods Word? It seems to be a poor example of one who proclaims Christ. How do you justify it before your congregation?

That has to be the hardest sell in the universe, its the complete and total opposite of everything written in the NT and Revelation. Its clear to me people embrace it because they just have a really difficult time believeing the prophets. Its not about not understanding them because the words are pretty clear, its about struggling to accept what they say. SO they latch on to the idea that none of them actually mean what they say. And of course if they don't mean what they say then they can mean anything to anyone.

I have noticed however, that the same Christians who have a problem with others smoking and drinking, they themselves engage in gossip, criticism, sarcasm, complaining, nagging, arguing, excuse-making, gloating, arrogance, fear, worry, anger, bitterness, hate, revenge, money lust, impatience, cowardice, irresponsibility, and thoughtlessness, among many other sins.
