‘Labor’s failed Voice referendum still reverberating’: Peta Credlin

  • Sky News host Peta Credlin says the continuing fallout from the Labor government’s failed Voice referendum is still reverberating, with Voice activists giving a statement of “anger and vitriol”.
“What's obvious, with the release of a statement from some, but not all, of the pro-Voice Indigenous activists, is the scale of their ambition,” Ms Credlin said.
“The danger for our country, if their bitterness is not adroitly handled, is that the division the Voice referendum unleashed could intensify rather than subside.
“The absolutely critical feature of the referendum defeat is not that it was a rejection of Aboriginal people, and it was not even a rejection of recognition in the Constitution, although I now think that's now off the table for years if not decades.
“In rejecting the Voice, voters did not reject more and better action to address Indigenous disadvantage, particularly in the remote communities where it's concentrated."
Ms Credlin said the Voice debate, despite the defeat, has focused Australians’ collective minds on much of the Indigenous problems currently facing communities.
“What clearly was rejected though was the Voice itself, and the whole separatist agenda embodied in the Uluru Statement from the Heart the mantra of Voice, Treaty and Truth,” she said.
“And that's what the activists, most of them at least, are having trouble coming to grips with.”

Yep! This is just some of what the aborigine have in Australia,. right now, that no OTHER Australian has: ""3,278 Aboriginal corporations • 243 Native title bodies • 48 Land councils • 35 Regional councils • 122+ Aboriginal agencies • 3 Advisory bodies • 145 Health Organisations • 11 Indigenous Federal MPs • 12 Culturally important Indigenous days • Taxpayers give greater than $32 BILLION plus annually for 984,000 people (2.8% of the population) • Expenditure per person in 2012-13 was $43,449 on Indigenous Australians compared to $20,900 on other Australians - a ratio of 2.08 to 1 and increase from 1.95 in 2009. Australian taxpayers spend at least $100 million a DAY on direct support for Indigenous Australians. Every year $37.5 BILLION of direct government expenditure, every single year." The figures are based on the 2017 Indigenous Expenditure Report produced by the Productivity Commission.
And THIS is just SOME detail of the 'modest request' agenda Albanese proposed via the Uluru Statement (the FULL 26 paged document he lied about):
"Find the Full Uluru Statement from the Heart - Go to the Niaa. gov.au website. In search type FOI. Scroll down to second page and find 'Agency FOI Disclosure Logs'. In there, scroll and find FOI/2223/016 and open the PDF. Hidden at the end you will find last 26 PAGES headed Document 14 - Uluru Statement from the Heart! ALL 26 PAGES are numbered 1 to 26 on the bottom right of each page, making it a full document. First 100 pages before the Uluru Statement from the Heart are the work carried out as Stages one to four shown on page 21 under the heading ROADMAP. The Voice is Stage Five. Stage six is Makarrata (TREATY!) The Voice will give power to push for anything they want in a treaty and if the government don't listen then it will go to the High Court. It will then be one person, yes one person, the senior judge on the day, to deliberate the meaning of the wording in the Constitution. So even though we are now voting on it, it will be ONE person who decides the fate of Australia (not Australians, by their vote!). These 100 pages are referred to during the Uluru Statement of the Heart, if you know how documents are made you will see it fully. If not just take the time to understand the Document 14. Don't be fooled to think that this referendum is about recognition as the indigenous are ALREADY recognised. Remember the PM said he will implement the Uluru Statement from the Heart IN FULL. Once the Voice is in the constitution you will never ever have a say again and could leave generations of Australians under this statement for life. " (This was posted by another alert and researched 'True Blue' Aussie, who posted this description as a red-light warning.)_

I don't tend to agree. Over 60 % of Australia is united on this one.. And we all know why.. The activists can make up what ever story they like. Australia was asked a question "Do we want to change our Constitution" we answered that question!! Overwhelmingly united in agreement. No need for any referendum in the future to ask us the same question with different words.. We have already answered any question with the agenda to change a Constitution that has held Australian citizens in good stead for over a hundred years now.
Just look at the mess the Northern hemisphere is in, why would we want to follow anything they do, we've always done things our way down under and now is no time in history to change that. We are not sheep to follow the rich elites agenda by using indigenous people as the fall guy or any other... Hold strong Australia. The Northern hemisphere are on the brink of proving how wrong they have got it, with all their WOKE agenda that is from where I'm sitting, about to bringing them down. sadly.

It is deeply flawed, poorly written, contains many falsehoods and really shows that the agenda of the Yes campaign was disengenous. Albenese’s fascination with destroying this country is bizarre.. Labor have completely forgotten about the other 97% of the country, based on a distant, and in most cases a very distance heritage. Time moves on Mr Albenese. It is not 10,000bc pr for that matter 1788. Cultures and nations develop and grow. Fact of life is that old cultures change and in some cases are absorbed. I’m pretty sure we are happy with electricity, cars, clothes, food, alcohol, medicine, education etc etc. How many people are keen to give up everything to live under a tree chasing a kangaroo with a pointy stick.. can’t have all the cakes and eat them too..

Based on my 18years working in these communities they've never been the priority of any Gov especially Albanese's lot. Its devastating to think that Jacinta's request to implement a Commission to help and protect our indigenous children was voted against. And yet here's a group of spineless so called leaders who haven't got the guts to sign a letter which is about themselves. What the letter should refer to is where is the billions being spent and how come tax payers are handing out millions to the likes of Noel Pierson at the cost of the well being of the children in communities. Lets forget about the Voice and move on to take real action to assist these children and lets find the money and reallocate to these communities.

The problem is more than that, the problem is cultural. The Aborigines are non competitive, to compete with another is wrong, and school is competitive. My friend was a teacher in Far North Queensland, with a number of Aboriginal students. One Aboriginal girl was exceptionally gifted. When her mother received her end of year school report she beat her daughter, for competing in white mans school. That little girl refused to do her school work on the few days she attended school after that. Even paying the parents to send their children to school does not work. Perhaps the boarding school for Aboriginal students would work, but this seems to have been refused.

I would like a Royal commission into the Abc as they so left and don't represent Australian views. With reporters like Patricia Cavelas, Laura Tingle who is on the board, that just give a biased view of the world. Where has critical journalism and Aunty gone. SBS is no better. You don't see any Aussie culture represented on this station and it should. It be lovely if they put on about the great pioneers, the explorers of continent, the settlers, the miners, the war veterans, the inventors and innovators, religion, the early political structures. These people made Australia the country what it is today. We have four stations really dedicated to sprewking the voice. I would like to know how much these stations cost the public purse? Or they are self reliant? Some do have ads. They are at present a vehicle for the left to use against all the rest of us that are battling cost living pressures. I would some our politicians put under microscope the prime minister, the energy minister, the defence minister, the aboriginal affairs minister, the minister for roads and transport. These ministers are under performing and getting away with it because the media never brings them to account. Ask the hard questions and get answers. Where have jobs in SA gone in relation to the Aukus deal? Why has energy gone up not 50% but some tariffs like control load have gone from around 17 to 31c/kW our medicines just went up, rates up, insurance up, registrations, savings down 6% as inflation has not been reigned in, petrol and diesel up, interest rates up, food up, cost to see doctor up. The system is broken and we need people to get off their arse and fix it.

I would like to show these people a clip from doctor who: which I will paraphrase here: "When you've got your new nation just the way you like it, when its perfect and just and fair, as you want it; what are you going to do with the people like you? The people who protest, the people who fear for their lives. How are you going to protect your glorious revolution from the next one? Because you know what? You might win now - but nobody wins for long."
