Well hello There, I just came across your video and subscribed. I want to say how wonderful its is to see you envolve your two girls. That's priceless. I'm new to the sport of RC planes, interested in purchasing a glider and yes I have also had an encounter with a power line. Thank You for the video.
Thank you for the kind words, and welcome aboard!! Gliders are a lot of fun especially power gliders. We really enjoy our fox it’s exciting as a plane or glider. We’d highly recommend it but maybe as a second plane!!

Looked like it was surfing on that power line. Good thing it survived.
Growing up I went surfing every weekend I possibly could. Maybe I was just feeling a bit home sick 😉
@@thercjetjock6571 you could go kite or sail surfing with all that wind in Portland and corpus area in that lake before you get to Indian point pier in Portland tons of world records have been held in that lake for kite and sail surfing lol. It's almost impossible to find a good low to no wind day during summer I'm Portland and corpus Texas due to the high 10 mph plus winds daily. And I love back in south Alabama on Gulf coast and it's hard to have a nice flying day during summer and spring cuse it rains every day here begging of fall and end of December is ideal flying conditions here in mobile/semmes AL. I love this plane alot, I have taken it 1.5 miles off shore at the beach doing fpv long range flying with it with two giant lipos and now I use it for spotting huge schools of red fish and bait fish like pogie perch off the beach when I beach fish to find the monster beach surf red fish and mahi mahi and whiting, other fish and it works amazing for tracking the giant schools of bait fish and game fish and then we cast ahead of them a good ways so our baits or lures are in the spot way before the schools of fish get there and man it makes a difference cuse most fish you wanna catch move all the time so with out fpv if be waiting praying a group swims by lol and on nice clear water days where you can see the bottom I use it to look for flounder sitting on bottom and then cast on them to catch flounder since you have to find flounder they won't swim and find your baits you gotta hit them literally with the bait or lure for them to bite which with out fpv it's a crapshoot

Pesky power lines, lol. Not to bad get it back up in no time. Need to get me something like this for them windy days coming here soon!
Lol!!! Yeah they popped up out of nowhere 🤣🤣. Yes you do!! This plane is amazing and rock solid. We used to fly our first one in 15-20mph winds. Lots of broken props on the windy days but always a good time!!

Oh no... it was such a beautiful flight... but understandable, every model pilot has trouble estimating the distance.

The damage is not that bad, no dents in the foam? Foam is so vulnerable to this and should always be provided with a thin hard "shell", for example Minwax as you did like your Kingair.
Also beautiful film images of the Runcam! were these shot in 4k?
Yessir, We haven’t flown many giant planes out here so… it was very easy to understand how it happened. Soaring love it!!! Besides the clean breaks in. The wing the barbed wire fence gouged out the wings pretty good. But it was all an easy fix and the plane had about 20 flights since repairs. We will eventually do a repaint on this one with the polycrylic coat. But that’s gonna cost a pretty penny for a plane this size so We’ll wait lol. The RunCam2 is 1080p. We will eventually upgrade to 4k.
