Two thumbs up for going on a spontaneous solo adventure. It's really so tough to choose my favorite part. I don't know if it was the going-native disconnected flapping chin strap on the way to no helmet at all, or the standing in front of the beach asking locals where the beach is. Oblivious, but nevertheless pontificating 'Mericans abroad! Priceless.
Scooter & mortar bicycle is most convenience to travel in srilanka Because you don’t needed much gas When were growing up in srilanka we did have fancy bus service car & 250 Honda motor bikes Of course our bus service is always full our route was point Pedro to Colombo daily service We did have gas station as well All kinds of service we provide
Of course there can be seen so many abandoned houses in jaffna .cause LTTE terrorists attacked Sri Lanka.then so many bomb blasts were happened there in jaffna.I saw that too.Never wish to see war like that.
At the first shop they were talking to you in sinhala because they might thought that you are a sinhalese from the south of the country 😂 We sinhalese don't understand tamil so we also struggle to interact with tamil people in the north.
I think you don't know about the civil war which was happening at the northern part of sri lanka for more than 30 years. The abandoned houses and half destroyed buildings you saw are a result of that
just wondering is it normal to film local people without any asking? i also film a lot of travel videos but respect for people doesn't allow me to film people without any permission and then put them on youtube
If in private place always get permission, if public place you’re allowed to film, but I never show anyone on a bad light, my content is almost always showing people in a positive light, and most people are okay with that. If they ask to not be in it I always cut.
Its a pity that the common man in Jaffna is unable to anwer you in English.Tamils were very fluent in English before 1956. A highly educated politician abolished English language in 1956 to get the votes from the uneducated masses in the south to become the PM.

@@myertravels Unless it's a crowded city street or a shopping mall, asking first is still the best way to go.
