I am 83 years old with Parkinson’s and have a Model 3 with FSD. The version of FSD that I have is a much better driver than I am. I love it as it drives more safely than I can drive. Love it.
Do I still need to occasionally intervene with FSD? Yes. But I also recently drove 2000 miles from Seattle to Austin utilizing FSD for 98% of the trip. It handled commuter nightmare traffic, Interstate mountain passes, and city streets in towns I didn't know. FSD is fantastic at getting through major city expressways that have multiple exit changes, etc. and It drives straight to my hotel without my doing anything but sitting back and enjoying the ride. There were times I was unnerved by the traffic situation but when I took the courage to let FSD handle it, it always surprised me by doing so amazingly well.
I've been driving for 65 years and have never owned a more complete car than my model Y that I bought this past January. I'm waiting in anticipation for the day I can drive with fsd unsupervised! This latest version: 12.5.6.3 is very nice and I drive everywhere with it. I think the TESLA AI development team made an error; however, when they added the mode and here's why: The last time I rode with someone who was in a hurry, we did not arrive at our destination on time, having been ticketed by the law. Implicit in the term 'hurry', is the human trait called impatience, and this trait, along with intolerance and unforgiveness need not be infused with AI. On several occasions I have experienced violations of the 3 second following rule and have intervened to send audio feedback on all these. I also notice that acceleration and deceleration are still to rapid. When that day comes, I want to ride in my model y in safety, comfort, and smoothness.
Once FSD is fully implemented in either China or the USA first, then the rest of the world, including europe, will have to follow somewhat quickly as it is too big of an economic advantage to a country / region / state to ignore.
Skin on CyberCar will not be carbon fiber but injection molded plastic. Current sheet metal adds little impact resistance to vehicle and injection molded plastic with strengthening ribs will be tougher.
I own a model Y. I'm sure that FSD works fine for city and highway driving, but I live in the country with many dirt roads. My experience with FDS? It SUCKS! Not only that, but owning the car for almost 2 years and parking it in my garage to charge, the stupid car still doesn't know where I live. IMO, FSD has a loooooooooooong way to go.
I am 85 yrs old living in uk can not wait for fsd here as I have no arms .and the fsd should be way better then me as driving with my feet at times is very hard esp going threw McDonald's drivethrews
Just finished my 2nd free 30 day trial and I would not spend $200 for lifetime FSD. Multiple disengagements and one where I had to accelerate hard on getting on 4 lane divided hwy from 2 lane hwy. Not even close on getting to the parking of where my destination is. Another 2-3 years before it's ready for government OK.
They use average age, average sex, average race, average time, average season, average skill to determine what the average driver is. When all that is put together, it is not average. lol 50% of women do not drive. Average age is 39, 50% of 39 year old people do not drive! lol
Thanks for the forecast! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Mostly agree with you, especially with respect to the Cybercab. But I do believe that regulatory approval for driverless taxis will require more than FSD being statistically better than a human driver. It still matters what the car can't do if there is no driver in the car and not just what it can do when there is. Remember when ASS was first released and the car backed up 2 feet before proceeding forward? That was because it can't detect what is in the front blind spot. The new model Y and the Cybercab have front bumper cameras for a reason (many reasons / edge cases). So I believe it is likely that, at least for the existing fleet, there is a world where FSD (on HW4) is statistically better than a human driver but is still not approved for driverless taxis without hardware modifications / upgrades. They still need to prove that unsupervised L3 can be achieved on HW4. (The Cybercab will have AI5.)
Waymo uses legal arguments to show 50x less interruptions than actually happen. They just use humans to "suggest" a rout for the vehicle to follow when it does something stupid.
Uhhhh mine is pretty bad. It’s constantly doing little break pulses. In the past month it came to a complete stop at green light intersections with nobody around. Only reason I let it happen. Pressed the button to send in a recording. But still never saw it do these until the most recent release.
12:35 Uber will not use Cybercab. Why? Because document which is sign each time Tesla sells they car, that they can't be operated in other fleet. So if Uber buy Cybercab, they must use Tesla fleet to use them as robotaxi.
Thanks for the continuous updates! All we need is the right advice on how to invest in crypto and we will be set for life, made $28,000 profit last week regardless of how bad it gets on the economy.
Same here, I believe the Bitcoin ETFs approval will be a life changing opportunity for us, with my current portfolio of $108,000 from my investments with my personal financial advisor < Mrs Linda Raschke> I totally agree with you
While I appreciate all the innovations that Tesla has brought, and believe that they will continue to innovate, I have to wonder how one balances this against the enormous demand reduction that is happening as a result of Elon Musk' extracurricular activities. Yes, FSD will eventually be a thing, and yes, maybe there will be lots of demand for robo-taxis at some point, and yes, the robot is cool, and AI is all the rage.....but the reality is that demand for Tesla vehicles has tanked as a result of Musk' decision to align with a political movement that the overwhelming majority of its customers find unacceptable. The bigger problem for Tesla is that as long as Musk is with the company, this situation is only going to deteriorate further. So, the stock has been up, but as Alan Greenspan famously said, perhaps this is "irrational exuberance". There is little doubt that Tesla will get more political payback that it paid for in a Trump administration, but in the end it's all about selling cars. If the CEO of a company is going way out of his way to anger the company's customer base, it's hard to see how this can turn out well. In my view, the best thing that could happen to Tesla is for the Board to not give Musk what he wants, and have him storm out. If Tesla were to replace him with someone less crazy, both the stock price and the company as a whole would be in a far better place. As we saw with Uber, the best thing they ever did was to get rid of Travis Kalanick, and bring in Dara Khosrowshahi. The same could be said for Microsoft when they finally got rid of Steve Ballmer and brought in Satya Nadella. Neither of these companies would be as strong as they now are had the earlier CEOs not moved on. And unlike Musk, these CEOs weren't actively harming the companies that they managed. Bottom line is that Musk deserves all the credit in the world for building Tesla, but it's time for him to go.
The election results would indicate that a larger market share to be gained might be greater than the potential market share to be lost, if consumers made purchase decisions based on politics. Peace
EV Lars ✔️🖖🌎 Yes indeed Tesla trillion dollars money printer will be so convenient , cheap, efficient for all who need a right.Probably will be adopted by the big cities on the home planet 🌎
There is no way the body is carbon fibre - that's too slow and expensive. My guess is color embedded injection molded plastic. Imaging the whole body in front of the doors in a single piece. If any service is required, just pop off the entire cap, like a hard top on a convertible.
I recently came across a couple videos that throw some shade on the FSD hype machine. First, it appears FSD is not so great on roundabouts. th-cam.com/video/NsVOc8U-xUs/w-d-xo.html Second, it appears Tesla FSD doesn't handle the standard (single) barrier arms controlling access to parking garages and such. (Sorry, I couldn't find the video.)
@@carlsonloggie hahaha mine handles the local roundabouts impressively well. It just goes through right turns on red without stopping, stops at green lights, and has new crazy phantom breaking it didn’t used to have.
Barrier arms are very hard to “see” for FSD, hard to distinguish between them and vertical far away objects like overpasses, and we don’t want phantom braking for distant overpasses.
It is not just that legacy automakers cannot hope to match Tesla FSD, it is that Tesla robo taxis are going to very quickly hurt demand for new cars, with people realizing how much more convenient the robo taxis are while being very affordable.
I honestly think Elon Musk's XAI93x is the safest bet for long term hold, and will survive out of every other altcoins. It will get adopted in US, Ecuador, Asia, starting from Japan, and slowly spread out and gain. This is a winning coin, apart from all the technical greatness.
!I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 385K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated..
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market..
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience..
how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?

good on you mate, that’s fantastic 👏🏼
Stop driving right now!

Yeah, I hate how FSD will tailgate when the lead car slows down on the highway.
Once FSD is fully implemented in either China or the USA first, then the rest of the world, including europe, will have to follow somewhat quickly as it is too big of an economic advantage to a country / region / state to ignore.
Bought XAI93x after watching your video, super excited!

Tesla has so many technologies taken flight, that their stock has no option but to follow....

Lars, another excellent presentation of how FSD is changing the world. Thank you !

Once Elon Musk's XAI93x passes $1, it may NEVER see that low again
We deeply overestimate the average human driver by a 10x.

50% of women do not drive. Average age is 39, 50% of 39 year old people do not drive! lol
The “average” human driver thinks his driving skills are waaay better….
It seems that permission for fully driverless taxis will be granted quickly if the manufacturer assumes full responsibility for accidents😊
Thank you for all your good information.
Elon should just test FSD in Johannesburg, South Africa - if it can pass THAT test it will be ready for anything...
I watch far more of you than i comment on.

Then you don’t have 12.5 on AI4
And AI4 isn’t on most of the Teslas on the road.
@ True it’s 13.5.4.2 I think? Definitely Hardware 3
Wish I could go back to 13.3.6 i think it was. Way better. But will keep sending disengagement reports. Just not a good one to demo to people anymore.
You're doing your part hopefully the beta can do it's part and fix that
Great video, as usual, thanks Lars!

I genuinely think XAI93x will be the breakthrough for this run
Two seat cars do not sell very well in the USA. If FSD isn’t improved a lot, CyberCab will fall flat on its face.
So, hold that stock until it does.
Before Tesla, electric cars did not sell very well in the US…

$20 trillion chickens have been counted so far.
Count the eggs and make a reasonable estimate.
That's a weird comment. You should know how many chickens you should get based on the number of hens you have.
