Best things you can do during Rahu Dasha:
1. Maintain good personal hygiene (can't emphasize this enough).
2. Keep your house clean and clutter-free (positive impact on your mental health + remember Rahu thrives in a mess).
3. Don't smoke or drink or do drugs (seriously, your mind doesn't need any further help in getting confused and unstable during this period).
4. Cut down consumption of meat (not sure if that's necessary but I feel my Rahu dasha went better when I was a vegetarian).
5. Don't assume that everyone is out to get you and ruin your life. Don't trust anyone blindly (let them earn your trust) but also give people the benefit of the doubt. There's a quote, "never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by ignorance." You can replace 'ignorance' with Rahu.
6. Meditate to stay calm and be in the moment.
7. Dance, listen to music, play a sport, make art, basically do activities that take you out of your head.
8. Channelize your restless energy into something creative like a new project.
9. Be a drama queen if you must but never repress your emotions. Feel them, stay in touch with them, let them flow. Repressed emotions will make you look for things and people to fill the self-created emptiness, and Rahu loves that sh*t.
10. Love yourself enough to forgive and walk away.

Hi, can you please also tell me about Rahu Mars conjunction in 4th house for Capricorn Ascendent. Since i am having alot of marriage life issues specially in my siblings life. Yes, 100% true. I moved overseas, break in my education. It destroyed and shattered my dreams, my youth... everything you desire will never be given. I have just entered Jupiter mahadasha, lets see wht happens now.

I'm 52. I've been in this rahu mahadasha since 6 years. I have lost everything. Company, money, home, friends, and all the way down to drive and passion. I've never seen this kind of bad chance ever in my life. So, if Rahu wants to take it away in 10 years.. I'll be relieved. Only thing still living is my parents and we never been really good so that's not a problem. I love them, I honor them.. I just don't want them to much in my life.
I am now for 11 years in Rahu Mahadasha,. There have been several moves, one divorce, separation from family etc My natal Rahu is in 2nd house Capricorn. Hope to manage the next 7 years as good as I can 🍀🙏🛐
Very good point Vanita, you mention about Mars Mahadasha. I have experienced vitality in my life in my Mars dasha. I’m only 40 years old so I’m considering I’m still in my youth. No kidding. I am thoroughly enjoying my Mars mahadasha. I learnt taekwondo and attained black belt. Towards the end of Moon mahadasha I had already started a fitness regime so it was no surprise when Mars mahadasha presented the opportunity to learn martial arts and shoulders with kids of half my age. All makes sense now. I’m looking forward to the Rahu mahadasha. Thanks again Vanita.

Wow vanita ji whatever u said is so accurate. Iam a Capricorn ascendent with rahu in 7th house. My rahu mahadasha started when I was 4yrs old. In rahu md i shifted to a new house with my family which was better than the old one. And as u said I did not pay attention to my hair till they were completely out of shape, constant problems with my footware, trying my best to be organized but just couldn't, nd most importantly gap in my education. I took a break from my graduation last year as I was frustrated. I wanted to do something in creative field, tried very hard but nothing great happened and iam constantly struggling regarding admission in different colleges since my school(had a tough time there too😅). Also had two foreign trips in this md. As I grew up I started becoming more aloof and had very few friends inspite being an extrovert. Finally 3 more years left for rahu md to get over.

@@chandranidutta7747 No, don't be scared. The comments are from people who are worst hit by Rahu. I've seen people in favorable Rahu dashas. Some themes might be common, like a strong urge to move away from familiar territory (both literal and figurative), rebelliousness, etc. But it really depends on your Ascendant and other factors in your chart. I'm a Cancer Ascendant, Rahu hates the one who rules me with a vengeance. So I've been lost and unstable. No matter what though, you are lucky you have this knowledge before the start of the dasha. I was only 13 when my Rahu dasha began. Use the knowledge and you'll be safe :) Good luck

I was born in rahu mahadasha with 3 years remaining and towards the end of it I feel down from roof. that's how bad rahu can it get and Jupiter mahadasha was 2 months away. until latter started I was in hospital. but thankfully I came out of it and healthy wealthy now :)

Change of place when it started, yes. Unknown disease, yes. Parents have health issues, yes. Separated from them for a while, yes. Big speculative gains, yes. Foreign connections, yes. Unruly beard and appearance, yes. Missed promotions 4 times in a row. Bad smell around the house, yes (wasn't there before). Brain fog/ lack of "viveka", yes. Currently in the Rahu-mangal dasha. The way you described about Rahu mahadasha is so informative & too good. I don’t have Rahu dasha but I am presently undergoing surya mahadasha with rahu in my Lagna since October 2023. Some of the things you told here exactly matches what I am experiencing
I agree about the relocation, I moved from one coast to the other at the onset of my rahu dasha.
But, I disagree with ur statement about losing everything at the end of rahu dasha, because what rahu gives you, utilize that to start a non-profit to help those in need, this way u enhance ur ketu by being selfless & less egotistical from rahu's influence. So you might lose some of ur money through ur charity work, but the fact that u served needy souls will prevent loss of the rest. Plus, blessings from whom u served, will lead u to a higher level of consciousness. Always look for a win, win situation:-)

You see Rahu denotes Smoke and when there is fire there is smoke and what when the smoke vanishes, you get clarity in your vision so whenever and whatever Rahu gives you, it has all the potential to take away, it cannot last... that doesn’t mean it’s completely good or completely bad only... but that has to end, fire smoke so no fire no smoke 🙏👍

Susmita Deb marriage or as such any desire that was not deep down good for you will not last. Just because one has desire to attain something does not mean they should get it. Rahu may enable you to achieve those desires through any means - saam, daam danda bhed. So you think you won. Your ego thinks you achieved your goals. But it may become worthless towards the end of the 18 year period of Rahu mahadasha.
I beg to differ, so let's just agree to disagree :). Besides, positive thoughts & selfless service to others will always yield good results, no matter which smoky planet is influencing us. Karma is based not just on good actions but on good thoughts too, which is far mightier than the influence of smoky rahu, as positive people uplift the vibrations of our environment, leading to a productivity & happy society. Kiru, I'm not bragging just stating facts! Besides, u don't have to belong to an NGO to do non-profit work. Our scriptures speak volumes about doing selfless service work in our community, plus isn't that the best remedy for Shani? I'm not associated with any NGO, I work in the Silicon Valley & I abstain from "fear mongering." Given that Rahu, Mars & Mercury are approaching a head-on collision, I rest my case!:).

Ive moved numerous times during the rahu dasha and have visited around 30 different countries, many of which I’ve spent months in. Can’t seem to make my mind up where to live, and question my career constantly. Materially it’s been pretty good though, as I’ve earned a lot during this period of time.

There is a general technique of assessing when during a planets Dasha the effects are more predominant. I am wondering if it is the opposite for the nodes since the move in the opposite direction through the zodiac. Say for example if Rahu is at 29 degrees of a sign...would it's effects be the most noticeable during the first part of the Dasha whereas if Rahu is at 1 degree of a sign perhaps its effects realized more towards the end of the dasha?

I’m certain that I am not changing my location 😬. Come what may. It will take a lot for Rahu to change my location. My Rahu is in Capricorn 9H whose ruler Saturn is in the Taurus ascendant. That makes Rahu friendly with Saturn and hence I’m thinking strong or positive(Bali) rahu. Is it true that Rahu in Saturn’s house with house lord Saturn itself in friendly house will make this Rahu strong too?

RE what Rahu takes away, I find that while it will give inheritance, it will take away the desire for more material success due to the fact that some material gain will come from loss of family. Thus it takes away desire for more...not necessarily take away the material things you’ve gained, am I right?

Yes very true, whatever rahu gives in its dasha it takes it back by the end of dasha and in Jupiter dasha you have to start from scratch. My personal experience. Also you lose someone near and dear at the end. Yes can’t differentiate between right and wrong. Also relations with parents get affected negatively.

Madam, found your post on Raghu dasa quite interesting. I will be grateful if you can spare your valuable time to clarify the following. I am Viruchga lagna, Dhanu rasi. Raghu is in 10th house i.e Simma rasi. Chandran, Suryan, Guru and Saturn in second house i.e Dhanu rasi. Bidhan/Mercury in Lagna. Sukuran/Venus in 3rd house/Makran. Kethu in Kumbha rasi and Sevvai or Mars in Midhuna rasi. First to years of Raghu dasa from year 2004 to year 2013 was good for me. The second nine year period from year 2014 till date has been very challenging resulting in loss of employment, financial distress. I will be grateful if you can suggest a remedy to overcome my difficulties. Presently undergoing 7.5 years Sani/Saturn. Thank you in advance

Hello chirag. My ve-rahu started in 2017. Tab tak mere life full bindass. In 2018 i cheated by my spouse. Went on somuch depression. Sleepless nights. I cried somuch. mere life me itni kharab time ajtak nahi hi. In dis time cheating and near and dear ones deaths happens.

My rahu who is not placed that well to begin with. Let’s just say the sun in Jupiter protect me to some degree from full on rahu. And these have been a lot of struggle a lot of loss but I’m actually kind of glad I haven’t been gifted too much if it’s true the right who likes to take. But I’m in the last section of this Mahadasha. And next February I finally reached my Jupiter Mind you my nakshatras are not too great but I am a Sagittarius lagna in Jupiter as well placed so I think I’ll have a good balance next year at least I hope. I don’t think anything miraculous will happen but I have a feeling it’s going to be way better than how these last 18 years have been. I lost my mom constant ups and downs with jobs depression and mental illness I hope I can last these next 10 months.
