    @parkersreef Question-
    Why did you go with an external overflow when you don’t have access to the rear of the tank? I understand the pros and cons and have had both but just curious why you ultimately chose to go that route since plan for the tank to be in its position for the long haul and possibly through the o-rings lifespan? I’ve never had a failure of a properly plumbed overflow because of a lifespan issue so that could be the answer lol.
    I would always choose an external if possible but don’t think one is better than the other etc... I just like the extra space and cleaner look of external units but understand the tank’s placement should take that into consideration when choosing. Or is it just a “risk” worth taking being that it’s our “Dream Tank”?
    Bests
    Alex

    • @ParkersReef
      @ParkersReef  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Alex, good question. Main reason why I went for the external overflow was to keep the display tank clutter free.I haven't heard of o-ring failure in these, but should something happen, it is possible for me to access to the rear box if need be (not something you'd want to do everyday, but it is possible).
      My last tank had an internal overflow and I just found it really ugly and a waste of space :)
