The Rhino used to take 8 RPG shots to side and frontal armor, however if you managed 4 rear shots it would be destroyed. Rockstar nerfed it back when the only thing to stop someone from grief trolling an entire lobby was a Lazer.
They nerfed its health so you could one shot suicide bomb it with 5 sticky bombs loaded onto a car. (Not sure if it still works)

The GTA wiki suggests that the Rhino in GTA 5 is supposedly an amalgamation of three different tanks: the German Leopard 2A4, Japanese Type 90, and the South African TTD prototype.
Just some things to note: (more like nitpick but eh)
-The Rhino does not have the distinctive circular engine deck exhausts of the Leopard 2 family
-The two cupolas on the Rhino's roof, its front hull, and smoke launchers are very akin to that of the Type 90
-The placement of the gunner's sight on the Rhino's turret is the same on the Leopard 2A4 (i.e. inside the right turret cheek and not on top of the turret)
-None of the three IRL tanks that the Rhino was based off of has a driver's hatch in the middle of the front hull just under the gun mantlet (even weirder considering the driver's position on the Rhino is above the left track)
-The Rhino also interestingly lacks a meteorological sensor (the little rod you find on the roofs or by the rear bustle of most modern tanks which helps/is part of the fire control system)
Disclaimer: I'm no expert, just a nerd/enthusiast and a War Thunder player (this is about looks, not performance). Feel free to agree or disagree, just don't be an ass about it :3

Mainly. If these were both battling each other in a real life consequence. The leopard would win because of all it's curved armor and special tech. Rhino on the other hand would definitely lose because it has too much flat armor and is outdated.
Nope in real life the rhino would be the Leo 2a4 so it's yonger bro 2a6 would kill it at about 3kms away because of the range finder, thermals and DM53
Tbh i think Leo 2A4 would win from a PL-01, and rockstar needs to change the tank logics, an RPG would be able to take out a tank from the side
well yeah, the pl-01 is a medium tank. and history has shown that german tech beats polish tech
The rpg is Not able to knockout a modern Tank, the armor makes it almost impossible to die from an rpg, also Rockstar doesnt makes Tank games
Also the rpg we use likely uses HE or lesser and not armor penetrating

Nope, the Brazilian Army currently uses the Leopard 1A5BR, the Brazilian export version of the Leopard 1. It's the predecessor of the Leopard 2A6 shown in this vid and designed after WW2.

The Leopard Tanks are very famous in the world wide weapon exports.
Many different countries ordered Leopard 2 Tanks and their own Leopard style tanks by Kraus-Maffei-Wegmann and Rheinmetall.
Also some country's Militaries habe contracts and treaties with the Bundeswehr/Verteidigungsministerium (Ministry of Defence) that they get the decommissioned weapons systems such as Turkey, for example. They got the Leopard 1 when the Bundeswehr switched to the Leo 2 and later the Leopard 2a4 when the Bundeswehr switched to the Leopard 2a5 and 2a6.

The rpg would if u test it on the Leopard 2A6 since the side of the hull is only 30mm and the RPG is based on the RPG-7 irl and the RPG-7 with HEAT rockets and pen to more than 200mm of armour
And if u test it on the Leopard 2A4 which I think the Rhino is base on has the sides of 80mm which and still be pen by the RPG-7
