Finishing last year work in the beginning of this school year was a fiasco for me. I was stressed out just trying to cram the new material. I will just stick to beginning strong with the new material. Eleven year homeschool veteran always learning new lessons. 😊
Good information and something to think about. We just work through and what ever isn't finished we started up and finish the next year. With that being said my first year homeschooling my oldest tested in at a really low level. The first year homeschooling she finished 2 3/4 language art levels. So we stop at the end of the school year and pick back up where we left off. By the end of this year she will have "caught" up. Our first year at home she was in 5th grade doing 2nd grade level material. The public system failed her big time.

Good for you making sure she is mastering the material before moving on!
