this song is actually a duet song....which sang by Dato jamal along with another legend singer , dato m.nasir....its quite magnificent too see him can handle that song alone ...this song is so highly poetic because it kinda pay homage to this one of the muslim saint RABIAH AL ADAWIYAH...was known for her devotion for god...when she rather to let go anything in this entire world and seek for allah mercy...which describe very well in this song

Many singers actually have more than 3 octave, I'm pretty sure of that. The problem is, being able to produce the notes doesn't equate to your ability to sing in that ranges in one song. It doesn't make the singer with high pitch a better singer. So, Azlan Typewriter for example is no better than Hazami.

Jamal Abdillah is 60 now. Born in 1959. His breath is not as long as it used to be. But he still sounds awesome. It is actually amazing he still sound so good. But can u imagine how he sounded when he was younger? Btw, "J" in Malay is pronounced like Jar.

That melisma is normal in Malay traditional music. But not everyone has the capacity to do it. Unless your build for it. I trained for ghazal in my youth. It was hard but satisfying.
