This is why TH-cam is sometimes unfair. I see videos that barely explain these cool builds, and there’s this G that explains what BABFT grinders are most effective now and were most effective then. Not only I know now when these grinders had their tests or runs back then and their tests or runs now, but he tells me which grinders are most recommended for different people with different blocks. I read a comment that says, “Most random underrated channel ever?” and I agree so much with you. He also shows us how to use them now and how we would use them then. It teaches us the history of these builds and the instructions of this build.
This video made me interested in the history and the mechanics of these builds like no other video has. It gave me the information I wanted to have and wanted to hear. TH-cam should pay more attention to people like you, Benjamin L. Keep up the amazing videos.
Edit: He also tells us how they’re good, and tells us how they put us at a disadvantage at grinding gold and get the most out of it. Another reason why I love this video

Really cool video, brings me back to when I started to play babft in 2018 and saw people use these walkers which just amazed me and it was my goal to get enough gold to buy a pilot chair and make one of those. Definetly my favorite grinder

I think pilot seats were introduced in 2019?
Theres another grinder which I use where you have a long and skinny platform with a pilot seat, a thruster at the back but you also add a bunch of balloons and some parachutes. you activate the parachutes and balloons then use the thruster. its a much more balanced version of the simple platform, seat, thruster grinder and works really well
I invened it myself but idk if someone else did and i used butter glitch instead of seat.
Tip: you should build it mainly out of plastic because its the lightest blockin the game and requires least baloons

When you use the butter glitch, I recommend only using 1 butter block and using a stronger block like gold. 1 butter block makes it SO much easier to control.

walkers are just so damn nice, really simple to use, fast(ish) still holds strong to this day and is still my go to
It's incredibly inefficient because it's slow speed, sadly magnet grinders can't be built but that would be faster.

i also remember the fork grinders, it's like the walkers one, but they only had a single "leg" wich we used alongside a jet chair to propell ourselves hitting the floor with it, it weren't too hard to control and they were my favorite ones. i think it doesn't work anymore because of the physics of the game, but in the old days it was powerful

Supwer wheel building tutorial. Self explanatory. This guy deserves more subs hes so underrated so random but well This is actually helpful and i can say its accurate,since i play build a boat for 7 years, it is also very helpful in which he says what is good what is not and stuff even explains it. unlike some bigger youtubers who barely explain these. very helpful, accurate, and not too complicated.

I love the butter grinder because it's easy to build and cost efficient. I usually use heavier blocks so it slower and easier to control, but then again I'd see why some may not like it.
The current grinder I use mainly is a combination between a more modern version of the wheel that has suspension on it and a walker it’s a walker that has a circle of the things that stick out that gives it more speed but makes it more affected by the rocks but all of the stick things have suspension to negate that also I joined when mega cars were the meta idk how but someone in my server made a helicopter during that time plane parts didn’t even exist yet it was just thrusters it also flew really good
The thing about the butter glitch grinder is that you can use different blocks to get different results, some may be too slow and some may be too fast but if you experiment enough it becomes way easier to control.
gold is really good for it, not light enough to be super fast, but not heavy enough to be super slow (is gold the heaviest block? i forgot) and good strength, ive gained prob like 10k-30k gold on that alone
For the butter glitch grinder I use gold as it’s heavier making it easier to control as with a lighter material you tend to fly too high like you did.
for the butter glitch, you can extend the arms by a few blocks to increase the rotational inertia (make it slower to rotate), which makes it much easier to control
i just put a seat and steer (the wooden wheel) on top of the grinder, it DOES make it easier to control but it also lets me carry my friend
bro the grinders are so nostalgic for me, especially the chair one (except i used a spring instead of 3 blocks)

Variation to the main wheel grinder was using something called spring wheel basically youd place the springs to the four sides of the wheel and put block plates to the top of em so one side springs were connected to 1 plate so the springs would dampen the shock when hitting the rocks and it was relatively stable.

11:17 the butter glitch grinder tends to work better with gold blocks or any heavy block. it's also very possible to add more blocks to the blocks on the bottom flower part

For the butter glitch, you can make the center block made from gold to make the grinder more heavy, which makes it easier to control. It's my fav grinder.
I’ve done testing with the butter glitch and there is ways to make it more or less difficult to control, my main version of it has some interesting custom parts and I made it almost perfectly

Cool video! Somewhy, I use this types of grinds instead of the normal afk farms. All the grinds are useful in their ways, some time i used a butter glitch grind, this thing controls normally, but it is can be tricky to get it. And also, I use the long stick of ballons and two rockets from the white team to get to the end. It is really fast and you can turn off the rockets in last moment to get to the end chest.
the wheel grinder, chair glitch, fireworks glitch, magnet glitch, and butter glitch grinder, were useful for me before using a walker. The wheel brings me memories of me and my friends trying to get much gold as we can just to have more materials to build a boat and further advance grinding.

there was a grinder that i really liked at the time it was making a shape like 7 but straight so couple of blocks up and couple of blocks forwards.
then we used to do the 2nd glitch right behind the forward line and when we turn on shift lock and move backwards it would go flying forwards
also you can make another one for afk grinders
first afk grinder ever recorded was by snoopingaz i think he changed the channel name to snoopin
but it was made before portals was a thing witch is cooler then new ones, the same channel have different newer designs which is a cool way to see afk grinder progression over the years

The butter glitch for me is really easy to use and I don’t know why it’s so hard for you to control. Then again I do like putting pistons on all of the edges to weigh it out better and if I fall over or get stuck, I can just push myself back into place.
you can get yourself to be straight in the middle of the butter grinder if you first sit in and delete a chair 2 blocks above the hinge (additionally i've found gold works better than ice for the main block, and that the half block is generally unhelpful)- doing the chair method and other changes i've described makes the thing 100x easier to control and ultimately 1000% more efficient (given it takes not even 20 seconds from spawning in a preload to reach the end)

Something to note is that it’s more efficient sometimes to just reset as soon as you cross the end instead of trying to reach the chest, unless you’re trying to grind gold blocks
for the last one mobilty and speed depen on the block used : too light of block will be uncontrollable due to the speed and too heavy will make it slow (inusually use gold block for the that glitch

11:17 you can put a thruster under the 5 blocks. This version is one you tap the movement keys gently to accelerate, otherwise you either go too fast or fall over. Then at the end you can activate the thruster and it'll bring you down to get the gold.

for the butter glitch grinder, its easier to control if you build it out of heavier materials and put another heavy block in the middle. Personally, I use gold blocks since that is what I found to be the heaviest and sturdiest material that is easy to control.
Tips: do the butter glitch grinder out of gold and with only one butter block and use shiftlock

Personally I use the butter method with obsidian as the base instead of ice to make it 10x more manageable to control while also retaining the perfect speed to clear while getting rewards. I only used this when I was desperate though

a way to fix the butter glitch going upwards is to use gold instead of ice but keep the ice in the middle and it makes it so you might have to jump more but atleast you wont just randomly start floating upwards
For the butter glitch grinder, I like to place a seat to go perfectly in the middle, then just delete it afterwards.
For the butter glitch, you can just use a heavier block and it becomes a lot easier to control. I recommend titanium or gold blocks

My go to grinder Is still the 4 legged walker. It may not be that fast, but I like the feel of It (plus I've used It for years, so I'm kinda attached to It)

Interesting i did all of those glitch in the old day but the car grinder one is something that we all experience with when trying to create a large car you need a lot of servo just to make it turn left and right and a lot of wheel too because back then we didn't have any screwdriver yet that increases the wheel power so we have to be smart if we wanted a large car to spin that wheel
When I use the “butter” one I made the axel go in the middle on four block so it doesn’t do that thing where you are stuck going up but yeah it’s still too fast

Yo, im here to defend the BGG, first of all, thats ONE way to do it, not the *HOLY AND ONLY WAY*. Thank you very much, the most used ones are a bit simpler to make, mostly the same structure tho, first of all, we use a anchored pole thing, any material it doenst matter, but what comes next DOES MATTER. You make the + shape with any material, HOWEVER, THE MATERIAL WILL MAKE IT EITHER TOO HEAVY OR TOO LIGHT, Recommended material in my opinion is a brick, not too heavy or too light, then the hinge on the middle, but no blocks or any stupid thing in it, just, make sure your not touching the base of the build, stay on top of the hinge, then you put 2 BUTTER, 2, NOT 1, 2. Also, all of that has to be unanchored, if done right, you dont even have to start to fly. So like, yeah, its effective.
Also, it is easy to control, your just dogshit at it, depending on where you look you will either stay idle on the air, go up, or go down. If you look at one of the sides of the base where it extends, you most likely will go down. Just get good, literally.
Also, the SWG is not even worth it, too expensive, literally. If you got enough money to build it then you may aswell have everything on the shop purchased already, and thats not the objective of grinders, their supposed to be cheap and easy to build, not a attempt to re-create the mona lisa, even the other wheel one is easier to build. But, fine, lets say it is supposed to be hard, then what, how much time and money did u waste on making something that u could have done the exact same thing with a cheaper build, a way easier build. Does the satisfaction make it a "Worth it"? Not really.
butter boat can be a lot more consistent, you just need to let it glide.
ie to prevent going upwards forever, dont hold the forwards key for prolonged periods of time and dont spam jump too much. just hold forward for a second or so whenever you need slighlty more speed and jump whenever you need height. this will cause you to glide smoothly through all the stages.
apart from that, the weight of your butter boat matters as well! if its too heavy, it might not lift at all (using obsidian or adding too many blocks to your boat). whereas if its too light (wood) it might be more difficult to control + its more brittle and may be destroyed from random obstacles you accidentally hit.
speaking of obstacles, you need to be wary of certain maps that may cause the butter boat to be inefficient/more risky to play. im talking about the honeycomb map and the gem cave one since they have spikes on the top of the map that you might hit into and die since the butter boat tends to go high. you can avoid these by just making sure you dont go too high, but its still rather annoying imo lol
one mistake you made was putting too much emphasis on being in the center of the glue block or the “butter”. ive grinded with the butter boat for months and i can honestly tell you as long as you arent TOO far off the center (at least 55% of your body is on the hinge) youll be fine. there really isnt much notable difference between being on the dead center of the hinge versus being slightly off.
in case anyone needs: i build the butter boat by placing 5 blocks on the floor in a cross symbol (like this +) , hinge on the middle block, then stand on the hinge, place a glue block on the hinge where ur standing on and launch.
I don't know why m I using the butter glitch but I think it's pretty cool you can use whatever block not only ice I've tested it so many times and cool video i just remember the old times.
the butter glitch grindier is alot easier to control if u just use one titanium block rather than a plus sign of ice, its still just as fast
