Massive congratulations, Jay, upon reaching 100,000 subscribers. You've earned it due to all your hard work and dilligence coupled w/ your conscientiousness and desire to listen and to learn along your entire audiophile journey, thus far. Thanks for all your interesting & informative reviews from a long-time subscriber in Japan, (ex-Scotland). All the very best! (& here's to your next 100K subscribers!!).
Hi Jay, first of all I would like to say that I like your videos so keep up with that. Second of all it's nothing wrong with presenting and supporting Korean hifi products as long as they are good sounding and fine build equipment. I'm polish canadian myself and I will always pick polish made hardware if they are better. Share, learn and enjoy. Regards Piotr
Jay, you have earned every last subscription one person at a time. The two people that I would love to see a calab with you would be OCD Mikey and Jay from Jay's Audiolab.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS JAY!! You made getting into speakers and gear very beginner friendly, and if I hadn't found your channel, I don't think I would have had the confidence to try out this new hobby! Thank you for all that you do and all the insightful and entertaining content! Keep up the good work o7
Congrats Jay! No doubt untold amount of thought and thousands of hours (along with some talents) have gone into getting the channel to where it is today. Onwards & upwards. My favourite speakers (I’ve had in my humble system) are Spendor s8e and Celestion SL600 (with REL T7i sub).
Excellent list of speakers Jay. Thanks. Sadly, you have not officially reviewed the KEF R3 meta (Probably because you used to own the R3, which you did love). Please let us know, if you have indeed listened to the KEF R3 Meta in your place. Congrats again on your much deserved 100K subscribers. As a viewer since 2020, subscribed since 2022 (and familiar with you since your days at Audio Excellence Canada) I can attest to your growth as a reviewer and communicator. Your giveaways are awesome! all my fingers and toes are crossed for the Platimons VC one.
The video we've all been waiting for deserves a coupon code of the decade.. how about a 65% off code for best $20K speaker? time to pay it forward Jay! all kidding aside, Jay has come a long way since his first youtube videos in delivery and polish. congrats on 100K!
Pro-tip. Dealers often have large flagship speakers in showroom. If you have a larger room you can often get great deal on showroom floor model because often the wife only allows small speaker in house so dealers have hard time selling bigger speakers. I bought the now retired Monitor Audio Platinum 500II speakers in tiger maple finish and only 4 months old from dealer for about 15,000 when new 30,000 pair. He needed smore space to sell smaller speakers on showroom floor. Those speakers were awesome for the money. Traded those in with different dealer when I upgraded to a pair of Sonus Faber Aida 2's. Also super wealthy people buy new gear about every 6 months to 1 year so you can often pick up awesome equipment like new they traded in at dealer for a fraction of the money. Don't buy online type used equipment because often someone will keep the shell of a good component and have junk on the inside and sell to people so a rip off.
Congrats on the milestone! Long time watcher here, and I just started subbing after I realized on this giveaway that I wasn't lol. Anywhoo, my favorite speaker list so far: Klipsch RP-600M Sonus Faber Lumina 2 JBL HDI1600 Dynaudio Evoke 20 Wilson Audio Alexa (my favorite of all time) Dynaudio Confidence 60 Marten Parker Trio (Diamond, absolutely insane speakers, tied for favorite ever)
My sincerest CONGRATULATIONS Jay! You deserve it more than you know and you're just getting fired up. Thank you from the heart for all your unbiased intel.❤🥂🍾👍🔥🎇
Congrats on 100k Jay! Curious, how would you compare/describe the MonAcoustic Platimon vs the Borresen X2? (Also, excited to hear your take on the Axxess L1 I see sitting behind you!)
I picked up a pair of Polk R200's after seeing your original review. Thanks!!! They are great in a small living room: we really love these! I expected to need a sub, even though you pretty much said that we probably wouldn't in a smaller room. Well, you were right: for us, they have enough bass to do the job really well, and they live close to a wall (about 12") without boominess. Plus, I didn't have to try to talk my wife into a subwoofer ; )
Thanks so much for all the knowledge you share with, us, Jay! Your channel will always be one of my absolute favorites, because you’re not married to brands or price points, just to great sound (and you speak from the heart). Best wishes and congratulations from Mexico!
Jay, congratulations on attaining over 100,000 subscribers. I enjoy joining you as a guide to your subscribers through your articulate and passionate exploration of audio products. We have traveled with you to Korea and met some of your friends. A broadcast like this puts your reviews in a personal ranking perspective. For example, you liked the Totem double Bison speakers, but they are not on the list. The foundation for your opinions is solid in the industry and garnished based on your musicianship. Wishing you more success.
Great presentation. The most prominent speakers in the background of your video are the PS Audio Aspen FR5s! No mention? Did you not find them competitive?
While I loved and still do love their sound, as I've stated in my TAD ME1 Review, at that $10,000 price point, it does not perform as equal to the TAD. I like a lot of different speakers for different reasons, Reference list is just my top top picks
