Paul also "despaired even of life ". And wanted others to know what he was going through. He went through extreme trials including being misunderstood by other believers and worse.
American christians think when someone corrects them or disagrees with them that they oppose them. No you arent being persecuted its called accountability. And its not about you. Love rejoices with the truth and loves its enemies. Allying yourself against others whom you have conflict with is not justified. If you arent willing to face others whom you disagree with, you have no right to gossip, slander, alientate, marginalize, cancel, intimidate gain allies by majority. You should respect anyone who tells you what they really think while facing you without a posse. Are you willing to ruine someones reputation to save your own? Love makes itself of no reputation to stand for what is right, true, loving and just. Judging others can be as simple as shunning or avoiding or even worse teaching others to avoid those you wont face in meekness. Even pastors claim "church discipline" and shun people they dont want to bother shepherding and having neccesary conversations. People are not dangerous just because they make you jealous, uncomfortable, intimidated, ashamed. Own your own badness by taking the log out of your own eye and examining yourself before you react to someone you have conflict with. Its become too commonplace to take up someone elses offence without even knowing both sides of a conflict. Before you listen to any offense you should ask the person "have you talked with them about it face to face having first examined yourself in meekness? If they havent then you have no right to entertain gossip slander by taking up someone elses offense that you are not willing to follow biblical steps. If you confront from a stage, hiding behind facebook or social media , email, or the protection of your posse then you are Not A Peacemaker!
We fit in with the culture when we dont love our enemies. "How are you different than anyone else? Anyone can love those who love them"
