How can I have GPU Raytracing as default ? Dont want to switch from CPU everytime…

It’s currently not possible to set the defaults in the preferences UI. I’ll create an improvement request!

@Aloex777 What you can do is... Add setRaytracingMode(1) to the Script section in the Preferences > Script and apply + save. In addition you can also add enableRaytracing(True) Than VRED will startup with GPU raytracing enabled immediately. You can also add these python scripts to your scene in the Script Editor if you have VRED Professional and want to decide on a scene by scene basis.

⁠@@VREDexpertThanks! Never looked into scripting. I’ll have a look into it. I’m using VRED Design. So its not possible?

@@aloexkborn VRED Design has the possibility to use Python in the Preferences as well.
