The 77th episode of Tapasya features all the students of Sridevi Nrithyalaya jointly celebrating Vijayadashami 2023.
The same Adavu, when done by a beginner, as well as a student for many years, will have a visible difference in the execution. Even though the rules and grammar remain the same, a movement begins to become more meaningful and nuanced as the student explores it more and more.
Discovering the depths of the art is a self-initiated, individual process which cannot be taught. It is a Tapasya for a lifetime as learning an artform has no end.
Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.
The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.
Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

Our productions uploaded in social platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
SDNT has unanimously derived to this strong conclusion. Therefore, SDN or any individual from SDN would be not to able to grant anyone permission to reproduce our work of any form.

I find it cute and inspiring that sanjena, despite her injury and being forced to sit in the chair while others perform, is dancing with only her hands. It really shows how dedicated she is towards the art. I'm sure when she comes back hail and hearty, she will definitely SHINE and rock the stage in the future productions!
