Style Pass Going Away? On my last SF video, I had three comments saying that the Style Pass was going away. One said that Customer Service had confirmed. I took my question to Reddit at R/StitchFix and R/SFstylistsupport. Several Stylists confirmed that they had received word from corporate that it was being discontinued and that some new client loyalty program would eventually take its place.

Ok, so my input is...that dress, green top, and earrings are an obvious yes! The khakis looked amazing on you, but they only work if you know you love them and already know what you want to wear them with. Just because you don't have khakis may not be enough reason to get them and the skirt for the savings. Like you say, listen to your gut. You did not sound 100% sold on the pants, so maybe that is a no. See...I have already listened and learned a lot from you.

I love the dress on you! You look beautiful and elegant. The khaki pants fits you so much better than the other pant in the photo, makes you look smooth. I never liked clothes that would feel tight on me either. The skirt is beautiful, but I agree that we should take into account of where we live. Are we in the tropics zone or the cold Northern areas? Some clothes can breathe beautifully while other keeps us warm. Thank you for sharing! ❤

That last dress is adorable, love the colour/pattern and 3/4 sleeves - I would probably want either leggings or black tights and being a dressmaker I'd make it into a V neck, but for that price it definitely worth it.
Natalie, I think it would be much better as a v-neck, but I’m scared I would wreck it! I can see some, but I’m not great! Do you make dresses as a hobby or a profession, my interest is piqued!
@@BigonStyle I used to make wedding dresses and evening clothes but now only sew for myself and friends. If I buy clothes I want a reasonable price because chances are I'll be altering them in some way. Just can't leave them as they are even if its just changing buttons. 😀

I have been offered the style pass for some time but have deliberately decided not to because I like having to pay $20 when I order a fix so that it is deducted from my order. With the preview, especially, it’s hard to not find at least one thing that I’ll keep to have the $20 applied to.
This is a very good perspective! I appreciate you sharing, that makes me feel a little more comfortable. I like the idea of not being tied to ordering, but in reality, I have only sent one full box back.

I had lost some weight & then was diagnosed during the pandemic with Alpha-Gal allergy (aka red meat allergy)-so now, I’m vegan + chicken & emu- I can’t eat some of the things that were my weaknesses (pizza, dip, etc.) without having a bad reaction, so makes it easier to avoid.

I have the style pass and I won’t renew it. When I have enough clothes I stop buying. When I need or want something I order a box. I should have passed on the $49 price tag because I get boxes on demand, but I was listening to how wonderful it is because I can get as many boxes as I want, but it hasn’t changed my buying habits - which is ok for my budget. 😀

I know….I probably won’t do SF anymore if they get rid of it. I started SF when I lost weight. I needed everything. 5 years in, I maintained. Don’t need as much. I only want unique items at this point and SF inventory has not changed much in last 5 years
Carolyn- congratulations on losing weight, but mostly on maintaining!!! I read that 30% of the style pass orders are unprofitable. I have to say that I worry that taking it away will have them lose Disney of hat 70%
@@BigonStyle no idea if I’m in that 30% or not. I buy 1 or 2 per Fix. Sometimes nothing. I renewed for a year, so I think I’m good until July 2024….I believe I read that they will renew profitable people through December. In January a new rewards program will be introduced. If they make it. I’ve been doing SF since 2018 and their inventory is soooo repetitive!
@@CarolynandherClothesI am only on the 9th box, but I have read so many people say that about inventory. It sounded like many people consistently buy nothing. I can see it both ways, you paid for the style pass that literally gave you the option to do that - I mean, I love the surplice style dress, but I only need so many of them! I am interested to see the new incentive.

I like the green top and the khaki pants are just ok. The wide leg pants are so popular and they would look so good on you. They don't have to be huge but a wider straight leg would be great.

Thank you, I am keeping the dress and earrings! The blue top was from torrid maybe 10 years ago, I bought it, it was too tight, and I never wore it! I need to make a video on weight loss. I still have so far to go- I am less than halfway there - but am proud of where am currently. I am diabetic and on meds that help control my blood sugar and once that got under control, I feel more in control of my cravings. I typically eat a very light breakfast (normally egg bites and watermelon) a small lunch (normally a little vegetable muffin) and then a large dinner. It is opposite most of the diet teachings, but really fits my family best. I think the most important thing has been walking. I had so much joint pain, I tried doing classes, I tried going to the gym, I just always ended up hurting more, even if I could ‘do it’. I watched this guy on TH-cam, Alex Solomon, I don’t know him, but he has helped me so much! He used to weigh over 350 pounds and is now a trainer. He highly recommends starting with walking. I started taking 10k steps a day in June and it has made a huge difference- it takes a long time! I normally walk for 50 min during my lunch break, and my family takes a walk with the dog at night. As of this morning, I am down 69 pounds, I don’t have a traditional goal weight, but I think I have another 80ish to lose. That was a lot, I really need to put it in a video, but I worry about all of the opinions of the internet!

What I’ve noticed from Stitch Fix and others is that the styles are somewhat fading trends. Like the clearance rack at Macy’s, T.J.Maxx, etc. but not on clearance….full price.
The lining not having the same fiber content is not allowing it to stretch with the skirt….thus dragging on your abdomen. I had a skirt like that and I cut the lining out. But if the skirt feels cheap it will look cheap after a few wears.
The dress is very nice looking on you….i would have liked it better had the neck line scooped down to that first “bow” area.

I have been loving your subscription unboxings! It's great to see that some of these subscriptions have become more size inclusive. Have you ever tried GwynnieBee? It's a little different in that it's a rental service. They send you a few pieces that you can keep and wear or return immediately, and they'll ship out a new box as soon as they receive your pieces back. You can always purchase pieces that you REALLY love too. It might be a good option to try while you're on this weightloss journey so that you can have pieces for the moment you're in and not be stuck with them forever! I tried it years ago and would be curious to know how the service is these days :)
Green top, dress, earrings look great. I would skip the khaki pants. They do not flatter your legs. The black and white skirt is pretty, but it's really a summer look done in a winter fabric.

I’m not crazy about the light blue sleeves on that top but it’s a great length. Te green top with that skirt is very nice. Shows you can wear these shorter tops with a skirt but not with fitted pants.

I've had the Stylepass for less than a year. I'm up for renewal next month. I hope they don't get rid of it. If people were abusing it, they should limit people to no more than once a month. Or even once every 6 weeks. It isn't right if people get automatic turnaround (every 2 weeks) and don't buy anything, abusing the system.
That is what I was reading- some people getting fixes every 10-14 days and not buying anything. A stylist said that corporate showed that 30% of the style passes were unprofitable. I had someone say in my comments that they just renewed, so I hope that yours renews!
I really dislike it when people abusing the system ruin it for everyone else!
The green top seems to be asymmetrical on the bottom. Love the maxi skirt, though.

Hello Meredith. Nice box. I know what you mean by hiding or camouflaging embarrassing areas. In my later years I have developed scoliosis and I’m struggling to find items I feel comfortable in. That being said, I’ll miss the Style Pass but will continue with Stitch Fix. I’ve been getting it for several years - sometimes very successful, sometimes disappointing. Recently I’ve been declining everything in the preview just to see what my stylist picks and I’ve been so impressed. By the way, I also have that dress. I love it - perfect for the office.
I wanted to comment on your last video about the jewelry. I just needed some time to process. My mom lost her battle with cancer. In 2004 she was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer and she chose not to undergo radiation treatments but rather to go into hospice. My brother moved her into his home and I became her full-time caregiver. It was the most difficult decision I’ve ever made and a hard time for all of us. Your beautiful tribute to your mom had literally sobbing I’m glad you still get to have her in your life. Cherish every moment.❤

You and your family are so incredibly strong, I truly cannot imagine what you have been through. I will tell you that my mom and dad live 8 houses away and we talk everyday. I do not think that the cancer changed our relationship fundamentally, but it did deepen it. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me- what a testament to your love.
Oh no, I’ve loved discovering your channel and you totally had me sold on stitch fix but alas, their “plus size” isn’t inclusive enough for me. So sad. Maybe my weight loss journey will work and I’ll eventually get there.
Heather, I have just gotten down into them this past April, so I totally understand! Dia and Co is more size inclusive, and it opened me up to some nice plus size brands. The service doesn’t seem as taylored to you as SF, though. I hope that you can find some wonderful pieces that make you feel beautiful right where you are- and keep me posted on your journey, I’m in the middle of a little plateau and struggling with wanting to eat everything, which Ebbs and flows, maybe we can help each other!!

I got a congratulations email that they took my new style pass cost taken out for the new year as of October 21 til October 21 2024. Isn’t that weird. Your fix wasn’t bad. The earrings are nice and that skirt is pretty but cheap is cheap. Dress is nice but so close to your maxi. Green top is versatile too. Have fun. Maybe you will get the pass renewed too.

The dress is a keeper. The green top, I'm not so sure about. The colour was fantastic, but I think as a solid colour that it doesn't work with the neckline. But as your dad says, chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

Meh! I only liked the earrings. You have had better boxes. The dress was shapeless and you are right that the print and colors are close to the other dress. The other dress is much more flattering. I think the necklines have a lot to do with it. V-necks look so much better on you. Also, I think you need to try some wide leg pants. I have basically the same apple shape and wide leg pants even out my bottom half with my top half. You have height so they would look great on you.
I wasn't expecting the dress to work, but thought it might be nice with a chain belt. However, I think it is very flattering just as it is. It does not look boxy at all. I think the pants are pretty good. I get the whole large calves think. I was also blessed thusly from my father. The maxi skirt does weird things on your tummy. It would be ok with a tunic, but it isn't worth keeping. The green top is a nice color on you, but the sleeves broaden you in a not flattering way. I think you should keep the dress and the earrings.

Since they stopped the style pass, I cancelled my subscription. The stylists could never get things right for me. I kept a number of individual pieces but never the entire box.

I like the blue top you are wearing at the start of the video. I like the tan pans, but I agree on how they fit on you. It would have been better if they made the pants with a little wider leg / more of a straight leg. I love how the black and white skirt looks on you, but I know what you mean about feeling hot in polyester...It's too bad, but it should be returned. I love long dresses and skirts, maybe they can find one that isn't so hot. The dress, I didn't think I would like, however, it does look nice on you and would make a very nice work dress. If you ever figure out what type of polyester is more breathable and doesn't make you hot, let me know what it is. I am also someone who doesn't like to spend a lot of money on my cloths, just how I was raised.
Thank you, Sandra, I need to do a hunt for the perfect polyester! The skirt would just end up making me sweat, and no one needs leg sweat. I agree with the wide leg pants, I really think that my calves keep clingy or skinny pants perform poorly.

I went through different stages in my life were I would only wear pump kitten heals never a tennis shoe, only three-quarter length sleeves or long sleeves, only button down blouses with a collar. So different in comparison

I really liked the dress on you best. I would pass on the other items. Although I thought they looked okay, you didn't like the skirt or the pants. I think that green is not your green. Maybe it's not my green though. If you love it that's all that matters.
I ended up going with the dress and the earrings- I thought I really liked the shirt, but when editing the video, it didn’t seem to be the best green on me. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!!
Stitch fix math says that's a 5/5. I liked the skirt. My fav was the dress. Good luck on heat relief. I'm in Az and we maybe back to 110f within a week. The style pass is the way to go. SF should stop offering it to those that never buy anything.
I agree! They said that 30% are unprofitable- I think they should not renew those! The 70% of us want to keep it!
The dress really has something special to it, the length is very nice!
I've come to the conclusion that it's really not worth while having things that I don't enjoy or care for, even if they were very cheap or even free, but sometimes it's hard to turn down a deal :P

I have no idea what the time frame is or if this is just rumor. It is a really big topic of conversation between the stylists on Reddit R/SFStylistSupport and two commenters on my last video said that Customer Service told them it was going away.
I really enjoyed your unboxing. I have considered stitch fix before, but not tried it. The challenge for me is my apple shape. Pants never fit well, unless they are maternity jeans! And skirte are not a comfortable option. So, I end up wearing yoga pants.
I hear you on the yoga pants! A lot of times when they fit in my waist, there is so much additional fabric for my hips. Stitch Fix is my favorite if the services, but the biggest thing it has done is helped me to see what else is out there and what styles look good (and which ones to stay away from!). I think that I could very comfortably shop for myself without it, but I do enjoy getting the boxes in.

I haven't joined stitch fix yet, but I don't like the idea of losing perks right out the gate.
I think it is kind of a bummer. I like the service, but losing this is pretty significant.

I’ll be bummed when Style Pass goes away, though I heard there will be a new reward program. Still, given some of the previews and boxes I’ve gotten, I’d be hesitant to risk $20. I guess we’ll see.
Do you have a video where you talked about your weight loss journey? I was on a popular injectable for my type 2 diabetes and lost a good amount of weight but had to go off of it because of GI problems. I’ve gained a lot of it back and it wrecked my metabolism. So I was curious what’s working for you. Hope it has cooled down for you!
I have the style pass, I would probably not order a fix if I did not have the pass. Depending on what type of format they move to I may be saying good bye to SF. I really like the dress. Like you, I find maxi length dresses or skirts too warm. I liked the top you were wearing when you started the video. I was hoping it was linked, but it was not. I have a SF box in the works right now. My complaint with them is that when I say don’t send black tops or plaid I seem to always get a black top and something plaid.
Lynne, I’m sorry about the top- it is one that I got from Torrid before my daughter started school (she is 13 now 🤯).
I feel like my stylist is pretty decent at listening to me. I had a stand in once, and it was like we were starting from scratch- like I had never written a note! I really do not like the idea of the style pass going away.

@@BigonStyle yeah we have that humidity thing up here on top of the heat. It is like walking through hot pea soup and trying to breathe the hot soup. I live in a small ocean resort town in Maryland called Ocean City Maryland and the ocean breeze doesn’t make it better on hot spells like this.
