I think the Metagross fusions are like that because, if memory serves me right, the Pokédex states that Metang is a fusion of two Beldum, Metagross is a fusion of two Metang, and Mega Metagross is a fusion of a Metagross, a Metang, and two Beldum.
double fusions are the same as their original counterparts with the differences of: -Tend to have better IV's. -sometimes they earn an extra type. -You have greater control of his nature and ability. So it would be the closest thing to having a competitive Pokemon of its kind.
There used to be a benefit like this but it was removed for balance. Because the fusions in the game mix stat pools, fused pokemon mostly have lower BST totals than the higher of their unfused pokemon and less effective spreads. The advantages of fusions are mostly in abilities, typing, and movepools. By and large, unfused or double fused mons are already better for stats.
@@missing_links i like how it looks cool but the competitive player in me is just screaming since theres no point for double fusing still sad though :(
@@Xanthomelania Eh... kinda. Undoubtedly, the best pokemon in the game from a competitive perspective are fusions because you can get things like ghost normal types with regigigas or slaking stat pools, but with beneficial abilities, or eviolite chansey or blissey + aegislash with stance change. But the majority of fusions in the game are just not meaningfully better than a base mon and many are worse. However, if you use super slicers in the game, you do get the best of each IV from the fused pokemon, so it's virtually always an improvement over the unfused base. Obviously it's unlikely they'll be perfect or anything as you'd want for competitive play, but you will reliably get a better pokemon than either of the unfused equivalents.
Double Machamp is probably supposed to be one of the hecatoncheries(Idk how to spell it). They were the siblings of the titans , and two of them protected the gates of tartarus, the other one married Poseidon's kid(His niece) and lived in the depths
Fun fact: You could have caught the Paldiatina if you threw a ball at it with 1 HP bar left. I guess that would be an illegal mon for the challenge, but it's still good to know(unless it's been changed)
Hey man I've noticed as well no one seems to have done a legendary fusion run yet? Feel like that would get good engagement Anyways great video really enjoyed it
most of the legendaries are either very late game before the first E4 run, or post game before a second E4 run, you'd effectively either need a blank magic boots save to "cheat" in all the legends, or be willing to do new game + so all your caught mons are reduced to level 5 and de-evolved
Kulkulkan/Quetzlalcoatl And you beat me to it XD Its the Feathered Serpent Shown in Maya/Azteca Mythos. They represent the Sky (ie Rain wind and Storms) and also known as the Giver of Life
hey, I'm managing the chart for the 'double fusion' team in the IF sprite community. if you had waited for the next spritepack to come out this month, there would be a few more of these, like double Ponyta and a new double Honedge :) but it wouldn't have affected your run too much
A tip to clone Pokémon is to make a nincada and the Pokémon you want to clone fusion and do the process of evolving the nincada part into nanjask and shedinja where both ninjask and shedinja will be fusionsso now you have cloned them
The double metang fusion is actually lore accurate, as every evolution in the metagross line(including the mega) is two of its previous evolutions merged together!
Of course you can. But I thank you. I’ve played three times through, twice randomized and I’ve watch 2 nuzlockes. Still see new fusions. This is dope cause I never really did this.
18:55 double Sceptile is probably more ancient Aztec than South American. Sometimes fan games make Sceptile forms mimic the god Quetzalcoatl. That’s what this seems to be.
The way it works is that they made a calculation using both Stats to would be the average number for the specific stat for the fused pokemon. Depending on which Stat the calculation would be a bit different and the setup on which pokemon is fused first or second actually matters beyond apperance which of the Two Fusion choices would be better for you. Here's an example on how it works. (2/3 * 1stPkmn Atk) + (1/3 * 2ndPkmn Atk) - This calc is used for Atk , Def and Spd or (2/3 * 2ndPkmn Def) + (1/3 * 1stPkmn Def) - This calc is used for Sp Atk, Sp Def and HP Now the issue with doing this with the Same 2 Mons is that the method of calculation they used pretty much just calculates its back to it's normal stat number. Basically yea it unfortunately really doesn't change the Pokemon beyond just a new sprite.
Don’t worry dude Clair is the fourth gym encounter you’re good fam. The order according to the official walkthrough goes Whitney, Kurt, Falkner, Clair, Chuck, Pryce, Morty, Jasmine
I noticed on your hydreigon it had primarily physical moves witch recommend switching those out for special moves since hydreigon is primarily a special attacker
Oh I remember that klinklang sprite, it's based on a parody leak with japanese text underneath reading things like "ability: babyeater" and "nobody reads these things anyway"
you can when you get a ditto. heck fuse two starters together then breed with ditto then you'll get the base fused evo and you can use a splicer to split them giving you two more of the starters for new game+. thats what I did
There's also an area where you can catch all 12 of the starters any amount of times, but that's in Kanto and he was playing Johto only, which is why I thought he couldn't use starters.
Video idea: PremierLocke Only premier balls allowed (yes they are expensive and unefficient) Pokemon with 1 evo can be +5 levels of the top Pokemon with 1 evo and 1 pre evo can be +10 levels of the top Pokemon with 2 evo can be +15 levels of the top Top is calculated by taking the highest lv pokemon of the next gym leader, and if that pokemon has an evo then it's -5lvs if has a evo and pre evo then its -10lvls and if has 2 evo then it's -15lvls
Which Pokemon would have the BEST double fusion?
The best fusion is xatu or krookodile
Eevee
i think a double fusion of onix or steelix would be amazing
Double shuckle fusion looks like a mech

Yeah it does which I love about metagross
That’s the Sun Pokédex entry.
@@empoleon7750 Huh. Did not know that. Never played it before, but it seems fun.
Double sceptile is even more based on Quetzalcoatl than normal sceptile becoming more Mayan based
Kulkulkan as well since They are the same being, just in Different regions of Central/South America
"even more"
It wasn't based on the Quetzalcoatl at first, the fusion is, but not regular Sceptile
I'm glad they made the Metagross fusions lore-accurate.
Agreed
double fusions are the same as their original counterparts with the differences of: -Tend to have better IV's. -sometimes they earn an extra type. -You have greater control of his nature and ability. So it would be the closest thing to having a competitive Pokemon of its kind.
They also earn more exp.
They should've gave double fusions a slight BST increase tbh
like 10 in every stat sounds fair

There are about 7 sprites for the machamp machamp fusion. you can always swap the sprites from the pokedex

And then the Klinkitar is Mecha Godzilla
Zekrom Tyranitar is godzilla along with double tyranitar. Double volcarona is mothra as well
Feraligator Is the indominus rex
@@RunicRaptor It doesn’t really look like Indominus Rex, it is made to resemble land based crocodylomorphs like kaprosuchus or postosuchus.

And 2 beldums into metang

Okay I never noticed how much I needed a Paradox Feraligatr. The thing is Badass
Pretty sure the double feraligator fusion is based off of the Kaprosuchus which is a prehistoric crocodile. Definitely my favorite fusion.
Kaprosuchus or other prehistoric land-gators, all very cool

Can we appreciate how there almost happened, a battle between King Gidorah and Mecha Godzilla

Big thanks to the IF sprite community for making our days!
Imagine not giving respect to the origin of the double hydreigon fusion?
"Alduin" in the immortal words of uncle rodger "so white!"
I've been waiting for this forever thank you!!!
Slapert💀
Look how they massacred my boy swampert
That farfetch sword turned my emotionless face to almost dying in the floor

I have always thought this was a good idea! Also, Machamp is a cool Mythology reference
Ratata and ratata or raticate and raticate will always be classic double fusions.
Bro this guy has some strange movesets
missed opportunity to name that double hydreigon "ghidorah"
the funny part about the metagross fusions is that fusing is how that species evolves naturally.
Love the 3H music at the Paldiatina battle 👌😔💕

Honestly wish the double fusion stats are improved compared to their regular forms (like around 20%-50% improvement depending)
That would be incredibly broken. Unfused mons are already better than fused ones on average.
Man this was an exciting video 👍
You should do a cofagrigus fusion only runs they’re by far my favorite fusions in the game
I love how the double hydriegon is just old school gidorah
Love from a Vaush and pokemon challenges Fan!
“Paradox Feraligatr” was super cool, as was double sceptile
I think that every fully evolved fused pokemon is their mega form
You could definitely do this run again, with completely new mons
would love to see an IF run with only pokemon that you can make pun names for with both of their components!
So basically those double fusions just have diffrent sprites but its the same pokemon stat-wise?
Not going to lie. Seeing the use of Alduin sure feels like a wasted chance to name it Ghidorah.
3:54 pretty sure double shuckle’s design is a reference to the villain lyric from sonic boom
This is what I've wanted most
What song is playing at 10:00 it sounds very familiar (Pokémon x or y???)
18:55 double Sceptile is probably more ancient Aztec than South American. Sometimes fan games make Sceptile forms mimic the god Quetzalcoatl. That’s what this seems to be.

Is there any stat improvement when you fuse the same mon?
Or is it just for custom sprites
The way it works is that they made a calculation using both Stats to would be the average number for the specific stat for the fused pokemon.

i am only seeing this now but isnt double hydrigon an homage to king gidorah from the godzilla movies?
The lack of Sableye in this game aggravates me
I think Machamp’s double fusion is based off the Hecatonchires from Greek Mythology.
In English that is the hundred handed ones
you are complety right
I noticed on your hydreigon it had primarily physical moves witch recommend switching those out for special moves since hydreigon is primarily a special attacker
I’ve been calling this category of fusion ‘Elder Pokémon’ as of the fused Pokémon went through true evolution (the real-life kind)
Double hydreigon is a reference to Gidorhra not alduin

what about a doing one with only infernape fusions? haven't seen anyone doing that yet.
Dude this challenge seems sooo hard omg
Do the mega fusions base stats get boosted just like the megas?
No, they just have the same stats as a normal one. The only benefit to double fusions is increased exp
No but they do get the type changes
During the gold battle it was King Ghidorah versus Mecha Godzilla
Which was an accidental reference in its own
You should do a double starter fusion nuzlock
monotype double fusion locke next ??
Fusing beldums, metangs, magnemite and magneton I believe just ends up with the next evolution
