21 years ago I got married and never for once had a child not to talk of a miscarriage. 4 years into the marriage, I would put pillows around my tommy and tie up a wrapper acting pregnant around the house. I typed and printed Psalms 113:9 and stuck it on my dressing table. Everyday I'd read it out loud. I bought loads of baby stuff and even bought oils, lotion and powders which I started using.
God is merciful. Today I have 4 children and even had one when I was 41🎉

I got so emotional watching this movie, I had three miscarriages and the last one were twins. My then parter left me just few weeks after the loss of the twins. l be came very emotionally exhausted and it was stressful for me as people even friends and his family said I lied. Which led me into a deep depression not because he left but what people were saying and he wouldn’t say the truth. Indeed they balanced it out on superstitious beliefs. They said so many hurtful things about me, I was not able to express myself to others as no one ever asked me about how I felt and what happened. With the help of therapy, I was able to find myself again and living my best life without any regrets.
I’m thankful for where I’m today not everyone is lucky to be a mother or father to their own biological children. I hope this movie educates people who thinks that every human being should be a parent. Thanks you Ini for sharing this excellent piece with us.

I went through an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage in the first trimester i thought i was going to die in the pain my heart was bleeding each day and i nearly run mad i had no support From my husband or family they all made my situation worse by mocking me. I socked my pillow with tears day in day out but God is merciful and came through for me when i almost lost hope And gave up, throughout my pregnancy i had fear, anxiety and depression, i was scared to be happy thinking the pain would repeat itself but God smiled at my face and blessed me with a baby boy 🥰🙏

This reminds me of my late mother (May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace) whom after she lost her daughter( my twin sister,) she started behaving strangely. At first it wasn’t noticeable until later when it manifested out. I grew up watching my Mom talk to herself 😔 People called her crazy and all sort of names. It took a toll on me at first but after sometime I became used to. I did my research 🔬 and came to understood her condition. I regretted those days when I use to neglect her and felt ashamed of her. After my findings, I apologise to her, and never left her side. She traveled to Nigeria 🇳🇬 in 2015 whilst I chose to stay in Ghana 🇬🇭 to complete school❤ then I heard of her death Ever since her 💀 I have become a different person with no affection but violence and unhappiness. Thanks so much Lady Ini Edo, for this movie 🍿 for this awareness will put lights on situations like this and help many people seek help and be supported without being ashamed 🙏🏽👊🏽❤️ God bless 🙏🏽🙇🏽♀️

When I the idea to write a story that will bring awareness to what families who have lost a child or children are going through came to me, I thought to myself that I had to make it very realistic and emotional so that all those out there who think they are alone, would know they are not, and can seek help. I wanted to pass a strong message with this story, and it led to my research. Today, I am happy that, that story idea that came to me, is on screen, and many people can relate to it. In my village here in Ghana, the family get a wooden doll for a mother that loses a new born baby. She then nurture it as a real baby, bath,feed n even backed it to places. Their reason is, this will help the mother to conceive again.
However, with this movie it gives more understanding that it also helps the mother to overcome the emotional trauma 😢

I was so overjoyed to see how Linda’s mother in law supported her even though she knew Linda was going through a mental break down. She was so kind, selfless and considerate of her needs. She embraced and never once spoke a negative word. Tell me why didn’t the husband notice that his wife was suffering from some sort of depression. Was it because he was embarrassed or was he in denial? Even when his mom suggested he take her to see a doctor he refused and called her crazy. My heart was broken when the son told his mom to mind her own affairs otherwise she would need to return back to her home. As a result mom thought it wise not to continue interfering, even though she was Linda’s only support. Mom felt it was more important to keep a good relationship with her only son. The fact she had to leave just broke Linda’s heart.

I had a fair share of Linda’s nasty experience with the loss of 3 babies😭!! For every woman out there going through a similar experience please keep hope alive and I pray their spouses will be supportive until God comes through for them. Today God has blessed me with two boys after 30years of marriage for a journey I started when I was only 17years. Ini , Iyke and Aunty Patience, you are the best! To the remaining artists I doff my cap . Great! Great! Great movie that must be shown in a big Community of millions of women married and unmarried to create awareness.God bless you Ini and Iyke your spouse. More and more of such impactful movies 👏👏👏👏!! If you are a woman, married or not but getting pregnant wasn't or hasn't been a issue for you, thank your God. I never had that problem but my sisters did. It makes you second guess yourself, depletes you of all confidence you have in yourself as a woman. It's horrible, excruciating, dehumanising. May God hearken to the cry and yearning of any and every woman in need of a child in Christ's name. Amen
