Hayward EcoStar Variable-Speed Pump Installation

This Hayward EcoStar Variable-speed pump video is intended for pool professional installers only - to assist in the installation of Hayward's EcoStar variable speed pump. This video is not intended to replace the installation manual. Hayward recommends that you read the installation manual completely before installing an EcoStar pump. Hayward also offers a Technical Guide for Pool Professionals that can be obtained from your local Hayward sales or technical representative.
This video is approximately 5-7 minutes long with information about plumbing, electrical and interface positioning. Future videos will cover programming and operation for both standalone EcoStar pump and with controllers.

I want to express my thanks to Hayward for their commitment to excellence assisting me to fix my Ecostar when local pool companies would not even come out to fix it. After multiple attempts by myself Hayward stepped in & got it fixed as good as new by a professional named Rick who was simply awesome. My new home will have all Hayward equipment as my existing home & inground pool has. I really appreciate Haywards offices getting this taken care of after a year of challenges.

Does it save money to wire at 2:20 versus 120?

can you wire a salt system to come on through the ecostar pump? so when the pump comes on the salt system does as well?

Depends on the type of salt system. If AquaRite, no. If a control with salt yes. Better to have a time clock hooked to the AquaRite and Sync with the pump. You may want to consider one of our Omni products of control.
