It should also be noted that when the Soviet Union first showed the Mig 25 off to the west that it so shook America, that we developed the F14 and F15 fighter Jet to counter the threat of the Mig 25 as we had no idea that it was not a maneuverable fighter jet and believed that it was an air superiority fighter, and did not know that it was tailored to counter the B70 that they thought we were going to make in mass quantities. Also, with the F14, F15, F16, and F18 the Soviets came up with aircraft like the Mig 29, and the SU 27 to counter our new air superiority fighters, so one can either look at it that the Mig 25 started a new arms design and production race with fighter aircraft of the east and west, and or you can give that credit to the B70 Bomber development concept starting it. It is ironically similar to the US in WW2 and just before receiving reports that Japan was developing and building very large Battle Cruisers that were to act as cruiser killer ships with give or take 12 inch guns, so they designed the Alaska to counter this threat and built 2 ships, and almost completed a third one. The reports that the US was falsely receiving was really about the Yamato being built in secret. Now when the US started construction on the Alaska, news of it reached Japan, and the Japanese started planning the construction of a Battle Cruiser to counter it.

To counter the perceived threat of the Mig-25, the US actually developed a super fighter for its time. The F-15 outclassed anything the Soviets had for years until they introduced their 4th generation jets.
Huh? They developed the F-15 in the late 1960s because the existing USAF fighter, the F-4, had been developed over a decade earlier. USAF's Phantoms replaced planes that had only flown a few years earlier, and wouldn't replace their 1958 Phantoms with F-15's until 1976. During that interval, USAF and usn Phantoms were flown in air combat against the MiG-21, 19 and 17, and now the usaf realized that the migs' performance was close enough to the Phantom to warrant a new plane.
the MiG-25 was not a great aircraft, however it is somewhat impressive that it was capable of serving out it's job as an interceptor despite basically being a scrap-based repurpose. Not great, but admittedly impressive for it's properties
There’s a story about Victor in a biography called mig pilot the final escape of Lieutenant Belenko you can order the book on Amazon and I got to say it’s an amazing book and I think it should be required reading in all schools
The thing about modern jets is right now stealth is the big thing, but obviously stealth is absurdly expensive to Develop and produce. And in all likely ness eventually in the near future someone will figure out how to beat it. Russians tend to focus more on close engagements, most of their jets have super maneuverability which makes them probably the worlds best dogfighters, but since everything at the moment is so focused on bvr and stealth there's not much roll for dogfighters. But I think they are anticipating that stealth will become obsolete and the chance of close up engagements will become much higher again, especially as counter-measures get better, plus electronic warfare.

The legend has it that Americans were flying over USSR airspace with the SR-71 and nobody could do anything about it or that the mig interceptors were not able to chase it...Its all bullshit, I have seen podcasts with pilots that were on guard at that time in USSR, they said they always seen and tracked those high speed targets but they always crossed into the soviet airspace on the edges and never flew deep, they never had to chase it because intercept means you fly at the predicted destination, because you know the targets speed and trajectory and those SR-71 could not turn for shit, its turn radius was gigantic. But the yanks will keep making up stories that they were flying over USSR, just idiotic fantasia for kids.
Just a shame this thing only flew fast in straight lines lol imagine if thing could dog fight to think they also paid the guy like 125,000 dollar's for the plane
Ace combat is a really emersive jet simulator game but it's not a try hard difficult one. And if you make it Japanese everything sounds epic. Lol. If your going to play one for your channel do ace over warthunder on gamepass it's way more friendly for content and it's instant action

I don't read books written by traitors.
@@ozymandiasnullifidian5590 are you Russian?
hey if you are looking for a proper combat flight sim, DCS waits with open arm (and wallets)
The funniest part of the MIG-25 is that it scared America so much they made the F-15 which ended up being the best fighter jet in history.
Did ma boy really called it “M.I.G”?!!!ayooooo
all i see is he's reacting to a late 80s or 90s plane that goes straight out to the space without the pilot wearing an astronaut suit
Mustard definitely a high quality production channel
react to The Macabre Experiment 1 and 2 theyre really good and I love your videos :)
MiG 25 and F-15s are the best looking designs of all time. The F16 F18 F22 and F35 as well as all other Russian planes have nothing on the M23 and F15
America has the best planes now that look and target the weapons are on most us jets and the apache.
react to the danish frogmen pls🙏 I am danish myself so It would be really interesting.
I have tried to find videos of them myself but they are hard to find because of the frogmen's secrecy etc so if you are interested in making a video about them you might not be able to find a good Video.
This is a good news things have changed.
Bro really said "M I G"

You should react to the sr-71
Just a shame this thing only flew fast in straight lines lol imagine if thing could dog fight to think they also paid the guy like 125,000 dollar's for the plane
My granddad was a mig 29 pilot
Ace combat is a really emersive jet simulator game but it's not a try hard difficult one. And if you make it Japanese everything sounds epic. Lol. If your going to play one for your channel do ace over warthunder on gamepass it's way more friendly for content and it's instant action
It's the F-35 that you reacted to

React to the fat electrician videos man
The Mig 25 was totally a bad ass fast Fighter Jet, and it led to the MIG 31: th-cam.com/video/pdfMQdb_5FY/w-d-xo.html that was developed to shoot down the SR71.
dawg, you will need to react to Adrian Caparzo's Eli21 DCS cinematic. it is next level
What are most excited about seeing on your travels around America 🇺🇸
