Love this song. Ronny Hinson was just at Jimmy Swaggart church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, almost a year ago. Then he was on "Story of the Song," a program that Donnie Swaggart has on Sunday nights. He talked more about his life it was really amazing and awesome! God Bless ❤
Great Song. I've been singing this for oh going on 50 years now. It's my Favorite. It's touched so many people. One of our most requested. This song never gets old Praise GOD.
I enjoyed this immensely. Just found it. I enjoyed the piano work you did. I thought it was good. I think almost anyone would have had the nerves, but it didn't show. Thank you so much for sharing.
Saw them at the all-night sing in Bonifay, Florida in the summer of 1975. They were all so nice to me. Bought their album Touch of Hinson and got them all to autograph it. Still have that album and that night was one of the best memories of my life.
The do the best on this Song. The writers don't always do their own songs the best. The Lighthouse is one of my favorite gospel songs. I'm so glad it was written. We can't do without that Lighthouse
Dirk, as we always fondly referred to you as Jesus when we worked on One More Hallelujah, you've always had a perfect pitch, and a joy to listen to you! You always been a master at what you do! A joy to even know you. A privilege to have been in the studio to watch you work!
Hi Dirk!! What another wonderful video of Kenny and the Hinsons. They will always be my favoriter group. Your piano playing is so wonderful! Thank you for sharing this videos and the others. God Bless You and have a Merry Christmas!!! Gwen Weaver
I love Kenny's voice so much......no joke .when I am stressed I put on songs I love .Kenny is always one of them and of course Jason crabb and several others and they always calm me down
That is awesome, you got to play with the Original Hinson back then. I too miss Kenny Hinson. Thank you for posting this. I've first seen this when it first came on the air back then. You sounded good back then and of course over the years like some of us who plays an instrument like I do, we get better in time. God Bless You Dirk Johnson.
These guys are good. I would like to hear more from them. My brother's and were traveling on I95 going to Florida back in the early 80's. I think we met this group at a truck stop. My brother got to talking to them. They invited him and his wife onto there bus. They gave them a copy of there album. I'm almost positive it was this group. There good people.
Dirk, make no apologies, you were great then, and you will always be great. Out off the 25 albums that I have recorded , the music that you put on the one we did in Big Stone Gap @ Maggard's is untouchable. When I worked at Lowes in Kingsport, it was always a thrill when your dad would come in and spend much of his time talking with me. Love the Hinsons and love you Dirk. God Bless.
As a pedal steel player myself, and just a little older than you, I can say you were well ahead of me when I was 18. I didn't hear anything fancy, but it was solid and good ...even at that age. I have fond memories of the Hinsons. I would have loved to have worked more in Southern Gospel music but by the time I was actually good enough, the landscape had changed for steel players. Really nice to finally find and hear this one.
Dirk J, Thank you so very much for posting this video, I have to say that you guys were the very best! This was just around the time that you guys recorded lift the roof off right? That remains to this day one of the very best recordings EVER! Kenny was one of the best singers that we will hear PERIOD, even to this day! I traveled with Bo for about a year and was traveling with him when Kenny passed, it is hard to believe that it has been this many years! In my humble opinion there will never be another group like this particular version of the Hinson's. Please understand that I am not saying the other versions of the band were not amazing because they were, Kelly B was an awesome addition and remains one of the very best guitarists in Nashville without a doubt, but the voices of this particular crew ( Kenny, Ronnie, Yvonne, and Eric) was a hard one to beat! I hope this message finds you well, Blessings to you Bro Thanks again for blessing us with the post!
I visited Kenny's grave recently. There were no flowers. What a shame. I only had enough money on me to purchase a singly white rose from the little florist at the gates. He should have flowers.
Just up from Kenny’s grave is Johnny cashs grave which is visited thousands of times a year … but for anyone who cares to listen “ only one life soon will be passed only what’s done for Christ will last “ Kenny you will receive your reward in Heaven..your contribution to gospel music will never be forgotten!
@@JimLewis-f1z ha. You are commenting on a post that ten years old, but, even now I appreciate it! Kenny is my Gospel hero I knew Merle Kilgore very well, (buried with the Cash’s), and I even played guitar for him many times. So, yeah, every time I get back to Nashville, I try to make the trip to Hendersonville to pay my respects. God bless.
Such precious memories. So thankful I was blessed, to get to see The Hinson's perform live, before "The Voice" was silenced. Proud to know Ronny & Jr. Thanks for sharing Dirk.
I love it the quality dose not matter the full annointing is still there just like One More Hallelujah home video We want to see anything and evrything you have Thank you so much
Bill, the steel player is a 15 yr old Scott Sanders. He's since played on a lot of records as well. There have been a lot of great session players come out of this band. (and I am not including myself as one of those.... just saying...;-)
In my mind, Kenny Hinson is in the same league and on the same echelon with Merle Haggard, George Jones, Marty Robbins, etc. And actually and technically, I think Kenny was a better singer than all of them. But his undying commitment to the Lord such that he actually turned down a few country music deals with major Nashville labels is what sets him apart the most.
I love singing this Song Myself. It alway's Minister's God's great Love and shows that He is the Light that draws us unto Him.God Bless all who hear this Song.
thank you for posting this. I haven't had much luck finding any footage with Eric singing with them. Do you have more videos with Eric? I'm trying to find video of him singing Beyond a Shadow of a doubt with the Hinson's.
Do you have more stuff from this concert? I think this is one of the very best line ups as far as group wise you guys ever had. Please let me know I would love to see some!
Is it The Hinsons that done the song called "Have You Heard"? I remember it when I was a child but can't find it anywhere online and can't remember who sings it. Thanks

Saw the Hinsons in 1984. Kenny was and still is the best Male vocalist ever!
Saw them at the all-night sing in Bonifay, Florida in the summer of 1975. They were all so nice to me. Bought their album Touch of Hinson and got them all to autograph it. Still have that album and that night was one of the best memories of my life.
No one had a voice like Kenny. Wish he was still with us.
The do the best on this Song. The writers don't always do their own songs the best. The Lighthouse is one of my favorite gospel songs. I'm so glad it was written. We can't do without that Lighthouse

One of the best vocalists of all time. I'd listen to him sing the phone book.

Thank you for your lovely postings of the anointed Hinsons. simply terrific.

I've not seen this version before, but it is certainly one of the best.

Robin Vosbury you know that he is where flowers are around him I was pleasured to see them in person they are a gift for god
where is Kenny buried?
+Jamey Adams He is buried in Hendersonville, TN at the same cemetery where Johnny and June Cash are buried. They are up front. He is way around back.

Super Duper.!!!
Wish I knew whatever happened to the bass player Greg Taylor. He was solid!
Greg and Steve Dixon (lead player for the hinsons early 80’s) went to play for tg Sheppard for years and years. May still be there. Don’t know
How much is a lot of Hinson videos but I don't recognize the guy standing right next to Kennys' side. Any help?
Do you have more stuff from this concert? I think this is one of the very best line ups as far as group wise you guys ever had. Please let me know I would love to see some!
