Thanks Chuck. I will try this for an area that I haven't dug out for a french drain yet. Would the vertical drain still work if the ground is really saturated you think? Thanks again for all the great content you put out. Learned so much from you!
Unfortunately I live in AZ, where my soil is basically rock hard dirt. Way harder than that hardpan. A big pickaxe doesn't even do anything, need a jack hammer and can only go little by little. Caliche soil they call it. I don't think this would work for me sadly (not even sure what will). Really good idea though.
Amazing! Will be Saving me tons of money and I will try and show my results. I live in AZ which has that hard clay dirt. Thanks again
What if your lawn has a high water table ?
Thank you

It should
Could you tell us how it works out with your saturated soil? I have the same question.
Can this vertical drain work with North Carolina clay soil?
@@josephruiz380 Sure! Give it try!

Will this work with clay?
Hey Chuck love the videos when I do the hose test the grate overflows but then disappears after a few minutes is that normal?
Will this work around the foundation of a house? Or will it just put the water deeper around the foundation?
What is this particular white colored fabric you're using?
What fabric would you use with clay? I thought clay would clog the fabric.
is tyhis a good system to use in the north east usa and or areas with basments? how far away from the house would be best?
