My first encampment was one of the most unusual encampments ever. My basic encampment I was a C/TSgt and all the other cadets in my flight were cadet airmen and my flight sergeant was a cadet master sergeant. Since I was the highest ranking cadet in my flight, I was placed in charge of some of the cadets in my flight whenever we had any sort of cleaning duties or if the flight sergeant had to utilize the latrine. I was also tasked with being the guindon bearer for my flight.
I’m going tomorrow and I’m nervous being a basic and being a C/SMSgt. I joined right when last encampment happened and I’ve promoted on time. Will it be weird to be such a high rank as a basic
since when is “basic” bad? I know people that were told to not even call C/ABs basics. Basic is in their grade title. I myself would not do staff at encampment.
1. Work out before you go. Its hard to fail but you might not get a ribbon. 2. Don't Gargoyl your staff or anyone for that matter.... You WILL get in major trouble.

I have a question that I get mixed answers about. On the light weight blue jacket do NCOs and Airman wear their insignias on the jacket. Thank you
