Exactly. Not to mention, a lot of people actually just buy a phone like this and then they judge all Androids based on a $200 Android phone. And I just hate when high-end reviewers talk about budget phones and then they say every single part of the phone is bad. Because they are comparing it to a high-end phone
I bought the A 25 today from Amazon for $265...the better performance and making vids in 4 K is nice and I do love music so the two speakers are important to me. Good job...
Honestly I would. And maybe I will later this year. But I've got a lot of other videos lined up already right now. So I don't think I'm going to cover the a35 for a bit. Plus, even though the a line does very well on my channel this video for whatever reason isn't doing well right now. I will tell you it seems like the a35 is basically an a54 with plastic instead of glass. It seems extremely similar to the A54. Same processor, and a lot of similarities with the screen and things like that.
Yeah this video didn't pop like I hoped but budget phones are very important to me. I'm going back to covering Galaxy tabs for awhile but I plan to continue talking about budget phones off and on
How does a phone like the A15 and A25 stack up against something like a Pixel 6a? I mean in terms of overall performance because I don’t game much aside from light games and I’m not a camera person either. I value performance in general tasks like browsing online, emails, multitasking especially with multiple tabs open, and texts/calling. I’ve only owned one Samsung phone which was an S21 FE. It was Amazon renewed and the earpiece to the ear on phone calls was awful and I couldn’t hear the caller and they couldn’t hear me. So I got rid of it. I’m wondering if new Samsung phones do much better than that because if not, I might avoid Samsung devices.
There are strengths and weaknesses to each device. I'd say the pixel beats both of these in performance. These have better screens, better refresh rates, a headphone jack, and a bigger battery. But they would have worse cameras, and worse performance. Day-to-day, I think the A25 5G Will do very well for you Even with multiple tabs open. But there are some points where it will slow down where the pixel won't.. on the other hand, scrolling around the phone will naturally feel smoother because of the refresh rate. If you want to be safe as far as performance, I would check out the S23FE if you can get a good price on it. I think you should have a really good experience on that phone. If you don't, or if there's some type of issue, I will say things like earpieces, speaker phone quality, That's always a little bit different on every phone. And it's a little harder to notice which is why it doesn't always come up in reviews. It's possible your Amazon renewed version was just a little bit of a dud. Samsung has a lot of great software, really great screens, I wouldn't give up on their phones entirely. but I would try to be selective to make sure you're going to be happy with it. That may mean getting something like an A54, an S23 FR or an S23. But if you're okay with a very small dip in performance, the A25 is still nice. I always say these videos that it's all about perspective though. These phones are going to go on sale so crazy at cricket and all of these other prepaids, for 50 or 100 bucks. For those people these phones are definitely no-brainers for the money.
@@AndroidDigestwould you say the A54 is as good as the S23 FE on performance? I’ve actually looked at many reviews on that phone. Many people say it’s great
No. The S23FE definitely has better performance. It's not a huge huge jump up, but I actually used both phones recently. And it is a nice jump up to the FE model. That's really the one big difference. The cameras are almost identical. Or maybe they are even identical, they're very close. The screens are very close. I think the performance is the one thing that makes the FE just a little bit better.
Watching on my galaxy j7 pro which still works today. J7 pro has always on display (a15 dont) front fingerprint sensor and a stable proximity sensor compare to virtual sensing and display 16:9 ratio and f1.7 aperture which both phones dont have.
Thank you for the nice video for me to see the differences between these phones. I had a question. Is there a heating problem in the A25? I've read bad reviews about it
I guess it depends on who you are. Does it get warmer than some phones? Sure. Does it overheat all the time in normal use? No. If I'm in my car charging it, on a hot day gpsing, will it get hot? Probably. In very hot situations it may be slightly warmer than some. But day to day it was never an issue or worry for me.
if you have a budget of 250$ to buy a phone which one would u guys recommend? i am getting a phone for the first time in eight years and i have very little experience with smart phones . the battery usage and sturdiness are far more important to me than displays and cameras . i don't plan on watching movies or play online games , i am just worried that i would get a phone that overheats .. are honor phones at that price range any good ? right now it seems it's between a 25 and a 15 .
personally I would never buy a phone without a warranty warranties are bad to begin with... so not having any prote tion at all is just wild. Having said that I'm sad the a55 didn't come to the US but I can't buy something that isn't water resistant and I don't like these old notches or the max bright eS being pretty low
Dumbest idea ever: buying a used phone. Or "refurbished" . How many times was it dropped, how much extreme heat or cold were the delicate electronics subjected to, how much was it used and what was actually refurbished( if anything) in that phone? Will never know. And after 3 years any phone may start having performance troubles. And when u consider how over priced pre-owned phones are....
PRECISELY...Good To See One Other Person Feels The Same Way...I've Had Refurbished Phones...I Currently Have One Now[Not By Choice]...A Better Word Is Rubbish Phone...And Would NEVER In Bloody Hell Purchase A Used Phone...Or PreOwned As They Call It These Days...
I agree with you. I sometimes buy phones that are within a year old, but I try to avoid any phones older than that. Cheaper phones are OKAY. And at least you know what you are getting.
Just bought an A15 and a A05 for my mother. Both do great. Its not like a few years ago were diference was so huge, now average phones take pretty nice pictures and are even full hd with amoled for those bed time movies.
It can be good, but the ram plus is a slower version, using storage for ram, some people turn it off and think things run faster, others leave it on, I don't think it's a groundbreaking feature or anything.
My a15 I just bought was a super sad reality with the camera. My a20 has a much better quality than this a15 5g. Somehow the a15 5g photo is saved in very bad quality than how it looks when you take the photo. Especially macro or zoom in. Looks like an impressionistic painting. 😢 don't like how expensive the good quality camera phones are.
That's a little steep, but maybe not if you're in another country. You can get a. A35 around $330 in the US. The A25 will be even cheaper. But either way hope you enjoy the A15. And if you're in another country maybe you got a good deal
One of the few reviewers who compares like items. I could see other people comparing the A15 with an Iphone 15 Pro max

I recently got a A15. Love it. Thank you for keeping it real!!!
The biggest advantage for the A25 is the headphone jack. Because of that jack I was thinking between the A25 and the A55
yeah, it's definitely slower and has some cons, but some people need a headphone jack.
The head phone jack was a no go for NOT buying the a55.
Im so glad you are talking about budget phones

Yeah that's a massive upgrade.
The A15 4G I have purchased last week. I have put a 512 SD Card in it. The Samsung A25 5G is also on my list especially the 256 GB version.

Advice as an A25 user
If you really need all day battery and your heavy on battery usage...get an A15
But if you want performance, get an A25
I purchased the A25 at Walmart in May of 2024 for 200 dollars.
