+RoyalJordanian I always make a point of saying thank you to the considerate car driver very obviously, so all other car drivers can see and maybe do the same in the future. A bid thumbs up usually does the trick!
+iamhim Same here. It's -25°f in the winter where I live right now(University) so having a bike for 3 months of the year isn't worth the money, especially since there is no place to put it.
+RETRO 93 I'm not a biker lover - rider at all, only a 4 wheels man but I do care a lot about our two wheels friends :) I realized how dangerous the road is for bikers just by watching loads of bike vlogs. You guys got my respect for that !
Jesus, I'm just starting out to lane-splitting... And I'm getting full PTSD, like every second was like"there's no way he can make that! " and then he does.
Most people are friendly. The few unfriendly often get (or demand) the most attention. When I watch you filtering through London, I have to remind myself to breath from time to time. Great, thanks again.
As a biker myself, i know how it feels when car owners make way for you. I've nothing but UTMOST RESPECT for these people and i always wave a thanks while passing by.
On my daily commute, there were times when it was very hot and the traffic was atrocious, and 20 to 30 cars would move over for us for miles at a time, you get tired of waving but its soooooo appreciated you have no idea.
I really like that you show the positive side of driving a bike, much better than most videos where bikers whine about small mistakes others are making. Thanks!
I love watching your videos RJ! It makes me happy that in England bikers have respect and many drivers are kind with you. Where I live if I would try filtering cars would overrun me (although filtering is legal in my country). Keep up with the great videos cause you make us happy!
I completely respect that people are starting to take notice of bikers and not only care for their own safety. But I tell you even if going in between the passing lines is legal in England and other places, I still feel nervous in the fact that it is generally less safe and I worry that I will hurt someone on a bike due to this fact. But I can also respect that Royal Jordanian is posting videos giving respect to these people.
To be honest, i've never realised how rare these actions are as here in Belgium, i'm quite used to that quite a lot of drivers here tend to make extra space for you, when they spot you, so you can easily pass through. Starting today i'll appreciate it way more :) Thank you for this video! :)
I always give a thank you to people who move over, its really considerate of them to let you through and I always try to move over a bit when I'm driving the car. some people deliberately block me in but they are the ones without a bike methinks!
i believe many of them have at least some sort of connection to bikers, it could be all so easy and only takes a few seconds then both go on their way.. nice one RJ!
Nice work dude. I also thank all the drivers who give way to us bikers and by saying thank you to drivers they will show the same respect to the next biker :D.
I find that truckers are the nicest of all drivers towards bikers. Especially in highway traffic they're always willing to move their massive vehicles out of the way so that I have a little more riding space. Verry impressive, very kind!
I must admit, im not a biker, but I do try my best to give them room when I can do so. Love it when a biker says thanks too. It's just respect on both sides isn't it.
As you said, if all people were nice enough to let the lane splitting riders through, life would be very much easier!! Just a simple gesture like that makes me smile!!
When lane splitting is normalized and people understand that is is safer and more efficient for everyone involved, you get this kind of harmonious relationship between all commuters.
Amazing. Folding their mirrors up for you? In all my time riding in germany this only happened once to me. Maybe I do need a louder exhaust. Lots of people make space once they see you though. I always try to thank them just like you! Keep it up! Stay save!
hehehe one when i ride back to home from poland, in holland was huge traffic on motorway, durning filtering i feel like Moses same at Edymburgh Bypass :)
its a mentality thing, i grew up around bikes and had respect for them long before i could ride myself. i reckon if all drivers were made to ride something little, like a moped, for a few months before taking a car test then there would be far more sympathy and respect for bikes (as nowt scares you like being on small vehicle on a busy road with cars 'bullying' you)
For some reason I found this a heartwarming video. The car drivers being nice and you being nice afterwards :). Btw I didn't know lane splitting was legal in the UK?
I see bikes as just another means of transport. As a biker myself, I honestly don't do any of these nice behaviours to bikers when I'm driving a car. I mean I don't help bikers especially. But I don't try to run them down or make life harder for them too. Bikes are just vehicles, so they shouldn't get any special treatment. I know this when riding my own bike, and I ride accordingly. If there is a traffic jam for example, the bike should wait too if there isn't a space big enough for it to pass through.
To be honest, since i started watching your vids i have become much more nice to bikers in ques etc. I always give them room in the middle beetwen the lanes so they can pass me. Actually not only for their sake, but for mine aswell. Because they will drive past me even if i dont move, but if i do so, the chances they would scratch my car or hit my mirrors or whatever are much smaller :)
Here in Lisbon "cager" drivers are getting better as well, but there are some who really just like to difficult our riding, but in general they tend to be nice. It just makes the driving experience in the city much better
+ƦƦoƋrіgʊes there is a safety factor in the growing biker numbers. More and more people start to ride (hail the 125cc laws), the drivers become more aware and that makes life easier for everyone. They are not going to get there faster, but at least, they don't make riders life a living hell.
I always make space for bikers. In traffic jams I always keep space in advance, I notice more and more people in my country doing that. I must admit its also a bit of a fear they might scratch my car and then drive off, but most of them give a thankyou sign when I move over a bit so they can pass.
Here in Rio de Janeiro lived a man who was known as Profeta Gentileza (Prophet Kindness). He made peculiar inscriptions under a viaduct on Avenida Brasil, in the port area of Rio de Janeiro and at the Rio de Janeiro Bus Terminal, as well as other places. He was a wanderer who lived preaching love and peace. Is it the phrase: Kindness generates kindness. That's what I saw in your video.
as I commute daily with my motorcycle in Croatia (Zagreb), I get these situations always, people being kind enough and moving a bit for which I thank them with a nod or a simple wave from the handlebar (seeing you raising your hand like that seems quite dangerous :)). I do get cut off intentionally from time to time, but I just ignore it for which I think the drivers are more furious than me actually reacting. this vid only shows that most people in traffic are normal and caring.
Good to see there are attentive drivers. One point of critique though. Why do you only give the people who move out of your way a thumbs up? Clearly they didn't think of motorcyclists ahead of time, that's why they have to move. Isn't it more thoughtful to position your vehicle before you spot a bike? Just food for thought.
+RoyalJordanian This is the ones you've noticed or tanked, but if you start again from "Daily Observations" 1 you'll find TENS more than this ;) . Maybe you don't observe them, but they do it ;) 0:57 I loved that one.The guy moved even the bus for you. THAT'S how you spot A GOOD MAN.
Im car enthusiast and always do like this but i dont like when bikers dont even thanked me. You, RJ, are Hero in this video too. PS Sorry for bad english, Im a bit tired and its 11PM here ;)
I would say many of those are bikers but I would say that many that move over are just careful drivers and look after other people on the road, if many more would pay attention to the road and their surroundings instead of their phones life would be much easier Nicely done RJ Thumbs up
I live in CA, lots of bikers here and one of few states where lane splitting (filtering) is legal. People are generally pretty good about it, and I always try to leave as much space as I can, though our lanes are bigger than in the UK!
I like to show the good in people.
+RoyalJordanian thank you
Thumbs up for drivers who gave way and mirror adjustment
+RoyalJordanian I always make a point of saying thank you to the considerate car driver very obviously, so all other car drivers can see and maybe do the same in the future. A bid thumbs up usually does the trick!
+RoyalJordanian I would say 75 % don't care, 20 % are cool, 4 % don't really like you and 1 % try to kill you.
I like))) hello from russian bikers✌
these drivers propably have a bike too !
+empirias papadopoulos Only bikers can understand !
+OpTic BiZti yeap
+empirias papadopoulos I don't have a bike, although I do want one soon, but I usually let bikers through, when in traffic.
+iamhim thats nice :)
+iamhim Same here. It's -25°f in the winter where I live right now(University) so having a bike for 3 months of the year isn't worth the money, especially since there is no place to put it.
1:57 'Y3H GO' = 'Yeah, go'. Coincidence? I think not!
I THINK YES!!!!!
Well spotted, what a top bloke
Videos like this one are rare on TH-cam. Thanks for uploading it RJ!
I never rode a bike but when i see a bike behind me i allways try to move away so they can pass.
+Dimas Matos Bless:)
+Dimas Matos a personal thank you for that.
Thanks bro :)
bless you!
I automatically do the same when I see them in my rear view mirror in a traffic jam. Never really thought about it until now :')
Only Bikers can understand other bikers
+RETRO 93 or those who aren't bikers but have a passion for biking.
+hondaguy 95 yeah absolutely
+RETRO 93 women in big SUV car will never see You in the trafiic :D She only loocking ahead :D
+Wojti Wojtkowski yeah :D and bikers needs to make way for those women!
+RETRO 93 I'm not a biker lover - rider at all, only a 4 wheels man but I do care a lot about our two wheels friends :) I realized how dangerous the road is for bikers just by watching loads of bike vlogs. You guys got my respect for that !
What a happy video. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you're the best damn lane-splitter on youtube.
+Amir E give RJ a 2008 CBR150 with no mirrors and he'll do magic during rush hour traffic
+Cosmonauteable KLE621
Jesus, I'm just starting out to lane-splitting... And I'm getting full PTSD, like every second was like"there's no way he can make that! " and then he does.
More videos like this, RJ! Puts me in a great mood :)
Car driver is a biker too... need more of those guys on the street :)
You are saying we need more people like him but you don’t say we need to like him
@@sahelamiri2191 please be like him :D
@@BeagleBageler definitely
Damn this is so heartwarming to watch! I Love it when people work with each other, especially in traffic!!
I love it when that happens.
always makes my day
To be fair, the mondeo's plate at 1:56 does say y3h go 😂
Show more of this videos please! I feel so warm seeing how kind are these people!
Respect! I always do the same thing when I'm driving. Can't wait till I can start motorcycle lessons!
Mr. Eggbird that's nice of you👍🏻
Most people are friendly.
I always give a wave or a honk to these people because they need to know I really appreciate their kindness. Great video RJ!
I'm not a biker (yet), just a driver. But I always try to help the bikers who show respect in the traffic.
+João Gabriel e é assim que deve ser
Thanks :)👍
+João Gabriel I do the same, but would be nice to get any respect sign at least once.
1:29 nothing like the sound of a perfectly executed downshift on a bike, Eargasm mate, good job and keep the awesome vids coming!
These compilations are cool :D
That grom can fit anywhere lol
Reople like these are few and far between in this day and age. They deserve the recognition. Thanks for posting this RJ!
On my daily commute, there were times when it was very hot and the traffic was atrocious, and 20 to 30 cars would move over for us for miles at a time, you get tired of waving but its soooooo appreciated you have no idea.
yeah i love being nice to bikers aswell cause they respect other roads users aswell that pay attantion for eachother i love that team work.
That's great that you always acknowledge a good deed, RJ. Respect.
Drivers like that are my favorite. I try to give them a wave whenever I can! Most of my splitting is on the freeway though so I can't get everyone.
Meanwhile in STRAYA we got gluten free maniacs tryin to push us off the road!!!
+YourPalsChrisAndAl >.< damn them, damn them to heck
+YourPalsChrisAndAl m8 they were just trying to put ya out of ya misery before the gluten kills ya.
+YourPalsChrisAndAl "gluten free maniac" hahahahaha
There still not answering.
+YourPalsChrisAndAl I just watched your video before this one XD I was like... there is 2 kinds of people in this world haha
Good guy RJ, always makes an effort to thank the people who make room for him :)
0:50 didnt see that coming :DD:D
You're welcome! -Car community
I always pull to the side for bikers, been thanked 2-3 times out of 10! Your a good biker RJ!
So nice to see a positive video for a change - thank you.
Loved that vid, you can see how passionate the guy at the end is about being a biker! Great stuff
Is it only me who nods when RJ nods and sometimes does a thumbs up when he does as well? Yeah only me... Ohh ok :(
No you're not :D I think it's a reflex thing and i do it too :))
+Stanciu Sebi yay! Im not crazy then!
It's good to know that there are still nice people around
June 2020. Shared this on my Twitter.
Its nice that you thank people but remember you shouldn't be trying to go through these gaps, wait in the lane.
I really like that you show the positive side of driving a bike, much better than most videos where bikers whine about small mistakes others are making. Thanks!
We all gotta get somewhere. It’s nice to make the journey easier for people.
I love watching your videos RJ! It makes me happy that in England bikers have respect and many drivers are kind with you. Where I live if I would try filtering cars would overrun me (although filtering is legal in my country). Keep up with the great videos cause you make us happy!

I thought at first that was leadpin lol 2:03
+GT WING haha true, similar as
+GT WING yup thought so too. Minus the tats it actually might be him XD
Hahahahaha!! Brilliant

Nice one RJ manners cost nothing and it's great to see someone with them ...
I always give a thank you to people who move over, its really considerate of them to let you through and I always try to move over a bit when I'm driving the car. some people deliberately block me in but they are the ones without a bike methinks!
The one with the folding mirror was funny haha
i believe many of them have at least some sort of connection to bikers, it could be all so easy and only takes a few seconds then both go on their way.. nice one RJ!

Nice of you to show how some drivers are good people to motorcycles, also for a minute there at the end i thought that was leadpin. lol
great to see the good side as well. it's easy to show the inconsiderate drivers but it's nice to see the ones that make our ride easier on YT. :)
most people move over since they dont want their car scrathed up by the Bike, and some are genuine nice people
Thanks RJ you made me smile :)
Great video showing how nice some peeps can be!
it just puts a big smile on my face
Thank you! This really lifted my spirits.
@Ghost Web I don't ride motorcycles, unfortunately.
I must admit, im not a biker, but I do try my best to give them room when I can do so. Love it when a biker says thanks too. It's just respect on both sides isn't it.

Pretty normal in Poland, but its good to see bikers are getting better treat every where
When lane splitting is normalized and people understand that is is safer and more efficient for everyone involved, you get this kind of harmonious relationship between all commuters.
love his mid-ride interactions
Amazing. Folding their mirrors up for you? In all my time riding in germany this only happened once to me. Maybe I do need a louder exhaust. Lots of people make space once they see you though. I always try to thank them just like you! Keep it up! Stay save!

It's called 'being nice'.
Lol^
A matter of perspective. Cars are getting in the way of motorcycles because motorcycles are smaller.
To be honest, since i started watching your vids i have become much more nice to bikers in ques etc. I always give them room in the middle beetwen the lanes so they can pass me. Coolsville RJ, nice one. Ride safe all, peace out.
Nicer to see that some people actually LOOK in mirrors and notice you (though the noise probably helps too)
0:50 I had to rewind to get that, so sneaky and awesome!
about the electronic side view mirrors.
i also rewinded. man, that is so cool

I always move over for bikers just down to respect as 9.5 out of 10 of you guys say thank you ... Ride safe
this video makes me cry..of all the hate that is happening in the world its nice to see giving a little love in traffic..hahaha..thanks

Love the last scene 👍
That's awesome. I found as soon as I got a louder exhaust cars started moving over for me
Makes me smile. Nice one.

we need more people like these

Alwayd good to see some decent driving, nice one RJ

Best sounding engine I've ever heard.
These are the people we need, not the prideful ones
Nice Mondeo ST at the end.
