There are so many students applying to USA, Germany, UK etc. Not just from India and they are on a different league right from their school education. More in line with global education. Secondly what if any accident befalls you in a foreign country and you have no known person there. It will be very difficult for any Indians parents to go to Germany for an emergency let alone a usual visit. I know because my brother has done his UG in UK and now owns a company and is doing his PhD. But you have no idea how difficult it was for him to get settled there. And all this working in hotels and restaurants. They sound easy to do. But really it is not after the Indian grooming we have had all our lives. What will you do when you go abroad keep up with your studies or work night or morning shifts, then study, then cook your own food, clean and so on? People outside have been trained to do these from a very young age. And this does not me an just wash dishes and all, rather to be independent on their own.

I agree studying in a foreign country is tough but at least you get a shot to get a better life and work in a job profile you want to.
