Just went for the first time this weekend with three of my good friends from Michigan and it was great! I went on all of the real rides (the ones not in the younger area) except for the TT and ZC and I loved them all! I don't like most rollercoasters and rides but I loved all of the slides there! :D
I love this water park! I have been there almost 10 times in the past 4 years :) I always wear a shirt under my bathing suit because of the back scratching problem, it really helps!
im going here tomorrow for a field trip if you sold 15 items for your fundraiser and I sold 19 and im nervous because of all the possibilities of a accident but im sure ill be fine

As of January 2021, Wild Wildebeest and Elephants Trunk have been renovated into the Storm Chaser slides. In late 2019, the Zip Coaster was demolished, and 5 new slides opened in the outdoor water park in 2018.
soooooooooo ecited !!!! going there for my second time in a week with 6 of my friends....it gonna be a blast my all time favorite thing there is victoria falls..also the first waterslide i ever went on
I used to work there last year I was a shallow (anything under 6ft deep) lifeguard and I was Flow Rider certified (Flow Rider & Zip coaster require extra training) The Zig-Zag-Zebra & Zimbabwe Zipper (typically called the body slides) were the only slides I've ever gotten complaints about people's backs hurting, and most people (including me) never had any problem with them. They were my favorite slides (very exciting) and they're probably also the least popular slides. In my opinion, the purple one is faster/scarier/more exciting than the red one. I only worked the top of the Tanzanian Twister (typically called pro-bowl) a few times and I couldn't work the bottom because I was not a deep lifeguard, but if there's any place you need to be saved, it's most likely at the bottom of this and remember, it's 6'6" deep. I never worked outside since I worked in the fall, but they've expanded the outdoor park with new slides memorial weekend of this year. The slide that a lifeguard is most likely to fall down is the Rippling Rhino, esp. if the people on the raft weigh a lot and the lifeguard tries keep them from going down too soon. However I have seen a lifeguard "fall" down Swahili once (although I think he was trying to). I never fell down the Rhino but I've seen many people who have and I've been tempted before to "accidentally" fall down. The craziest thing to happen while I worked there is that a group of 4 guys going down Swahili actually jumped out of the raft when they got to the bowl part and started running around inside of it. (Which if anyone had anticipated that, it would probably be against the rules) I was at the top of the slide when it happened, both the other guests in line who were watching AND the lifeguard who came from the bottom when we rotated positions told me about it and gave crazy looks, although I didn't see it. Although I'm the only one who could have anticipated it because the first time those guys went down (I was at the bottom) they asked me what would happen if they got out on the slide. I was kinda dumbfounded and I said "Idk, I would check to make sure you're safe I guess." The most fun I had was working the flow-rider and the few times I get to do test rides in the morning. (Going down a waterslide at 8:30am is so much better than coffee for waking up) Also, the Wild Wildebeest & Elephants Trunk are typically called the tube slides

Lmao. I went on the single person toilet bowl ( I go every year) but the first time I didn't expect the pool under it to be so deep and I was like 4 foot something , went to touch the ground and almost drowned 😂😂 I mean I can swim just I let my body go cause I thought the ground was right there

After visiting the original Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells back in 2018, I seriously regret not visiting this one when I was in Sandusky in 2015 and 2017. But I solemnly swear I will next time I am in town (whenever that will be).
the Zip Coaster was the scariest one. my sister told me that it's not scary, but when i got into it, i didn't stop screaming. scared the hell out of me lol.
Going to Kalahari for the 3rd time on Sunday , & let me tell you guys something ! This is the most funniest place next to Cedar Point & Disney World !! But the cheetah race (where you start) its kinda hard to go down you get stuck when the man says GO! But people will help you ! ;) staff is very very respectful !! Awesome food games not that much prizes but yeah ! I LOVE KALAHARI ❤
We are going to the kalahari as a field trip on Friday and like I want to go on that tornado slide thing but when they said 6ft 6in I was like😱 I know how to swim because I did swimming for 2 years but that seems like the scariest one the rest are normal

Wasn't there to see wildlife when I went. Resort, overall, was great! Had a room that was pretty decent. Game room was plentiful, though I wasn't too keen on it being how you entered the water park itself. The water felt fine as well, not too cold. I had a parent take myself and some others, so I can't comment on pricing, but we would definitely do it again if the change rose once more!
cool! well next time you go if you have to checkout of the hotel room and want to ride everything once more, just keep your wrisbands on and you cn still enter the park just make sure you load the car up so you guys can leave aferwards! thats what me and my family do.

I’m going on august 5th to august 7th. Basically 3 days tho. We paid 700 for a suite. (Me, my sis, my mom, and my dad) and the suite only has 2 beds.... why is it the suite so expensive but only have 2 beds??
if you go on any week day, you don't have to wait in line, but if you go on weekends the lines would be long :) i actually went on monday and tuesday and i didn't have to wait in lines which makes it more fun
Kalahari is fun and all but omg, if u have been there 4 times.. It gets old. Cedar point, been there 4 times as well, never gets old. I think its the fact that its a waterpark, and u wait 5 hours to go on a 4 second ride..yea not so great. And have u heard about the stuff they find in the wavepool? Omg! Cedar point on the other hand will never get old as long as they keep adding rides, and selling fastlanes, i prefer cedar point. Not hateing on kalahari, but its pretty good for a waterpark.
So I rode the human toilet bowl thing and when I first dot on it l didnt know what it was and I was so scared the lifeguard had to save me. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life😪
if you wanna go on the big blue toilet bowl, wait until night time because the line gets shorter and you'll have a better time getting on it. I did that last year and it worked.

The best thing to do is get to the water park at 8:50 am that's what I did and no one was in line just me an my friends and rode all the slides

The big bowl, Swahili Swirl, requires two to four people to do. The smaller bowl, Tanzanian Twister, is a body slide and must be done solo.

I was at Kalahari yesterday and sadly they don't use tubes in the wave pool it was my 6th time going since I was 3.
