I'm in love with his "Broken Arrow" costume. If you've ever seen the music, and know the backstory behind this program, you'd understand why. I adore Alyosha!
But Yagudin skates with such emotion better than any body. I'll bet he is a terrific dancer. Plushenko is technically good but doesn't skate with the same emotion and flails his arms around too much.
the only male performance of tosca that i have enjoyed. it did not seem over the top or forced, and most importantly there was an ease to it all and great levels of artistry. plushenko is definitely an artist, but his take on it doesn't quite compare in my opinion; and alexei's footwork sequence better suits the music. evan doesn't quite compare to either.
I tried to like Plushenko...really did...but god seing his head moving and those weird hand movements almost disgust me.And I say this because we're talking about Tosca.
lambiel is passionate. maybe not as technically proficient as yagudin but he does have passion. is he yagudin? nope! but then who is?!? joubert isn't much in the artistic department but oh, boy he's pretty to look at!!!!
Tosca is my favorite Plushenko program- maybe ever. So of course curiosity had me wanting to see what Alexei Yagudin did with the same music. I really wasn't impressed, honestly :/ I'd just rewatched his Olympic "man in the iron mask" performance where he killed it. He seemed off his game here and it was hard to get invested. Then hearing the commentators say this was in Nice, I knew immediately this was where Plushenko had a meltdown. And I guess he was the only person at that competition who could challenge him technically.Plushenko's Tosca is still better for me personally. The jumps are timed amazingly with the music and the step sequences are my favorite element of it.
My favorite skater of all time!
Боже!!!Какие были программы !!! Шедевры !!! Ягудин-гений !!!
Величайший фигурист!!!
Yagudin is not only an athlete, he's an ARTIST. Forget some mistakes! It's the first time I see _Mario Cavaradossi_ on ice, not just the skater.
I LOVE HIM!

И Плющенко и Ягудин выдающиеся личности, и нужно ими просто гордиться

so princely a costume, i have to say. ;) i like it on him much more than most of his other costumes.
i friggin LOVE this song!! i think i like his program almost as much as michelle's to this music.
how come yagudin was only 20 but really seems like an adult men. the kids these days look like just that... kids

Victor Petrenko's Tosca is pretty good.
And I definitely want and have to agree with you!

i agree with all of you!
I hate how the commentator says "Plushenko just got the opening he was looking for" after Yagudin fell.
жалко упал в самом конце...

he did beat yagudin in 2001.
Honestly, I don't how he held on to 1st place with those mistakes.
+Tyrone Branch Yagudin can royally thank Plushenko for delivering an utterly craptastic performance after this.
the 2000 world champ did 2 quads
the 2010 oly and world champs had 0 between them
Plushenko's Tosca is really really boring
