    Mamamoo is particularly known for audience interaction and the degree they hype the audience up. I believe that it comes from their early career where they actually busked in the streets to build an audience. Anyone whose done that kind of work successfully develops a deep ability to connect with the people.

      I remember seeing and reading about how during lockdown, when they performed on end of year shows, Mamamoo's normal energy was not really there and that was in part because, just like they hype the fans up, the members also get hyped by the fans. They really know how to get the audience to participate and that is one of the reasons I really enjoyed their concert when I went.

    i'm glad you enjoyed it. Mamamoo has a 4s4c from 2019 concert too. Full version is available on youtube with eng subs! i hope you check that out too.
    And about the part switch.. They have a practice how they come up with that idea and how they practiced. I wish we could do an mooparty live together so we can react and check it out together! Thanks for the reaction💚

    I thought I had seen most of the main MMM concert videos on yt but I don't recall the paper airplane thing. It might be something moomoos did a long time ago and that's why Wheein got sentimental about it.
    I saw the movie last night and was disappointed that there were only 3 other people there, a nerdy looking white guy in his 20's and a Korean mom who was my age or older (68) and her daughter, who sat next to me. The daughter said she wasn't sure how much her mom listens to Mamamoo but she had seen them on tv. Mom and I didn't talk other than to wish each other good night afterwards but she looked pleased to see someone her age at the movie. :)
    I saw the MyCon concerts in NY and Baltimore. The US leg of the tour had a significantly shorter set list than the concerts they filmed in Seoul for the movie. US moomoos arranged a segment of each US concert to show a short video of American moomoos greeting MMM, after which everyone in the audience held up a banner with a message that was different in every city. One thing that became an instant tradition at the US shows was for moomoos to bark at them between songs - WOO WOO WOO WOO ... Moonbyul was especially amused and often barked back and got everyone barking. lol
    Mamamoo interacts with the audience more than most groups, esp during songs. The bond between MMM & moomoos is very strong. I always say MMM is a live group first and foremost and Korean moomoos are basically the fifth member of the group.
    Agree that Wheein really shined in the movie. She used to be the member moomoos worried about the most because of her shyness and social anxiety issues. The most significant incident is when she had a panic attack at the airport when MMM was flying to LA for KCON in 2019 and didn't make the flight. The last half of the year and first few months of 2020 were rough for her, esp since MMM had an extremely busy schedule as usual. They were on the Queendom competition show which ran for two months and during that time they performed two of their 4+ hour long 4 Seasons F/W concerts in Daegu. Wheein was noticeably absent in the Queendom footage of the competitors socializing. In Nov '19 MMM released their 2nd full length album and had their biggest hit with Hip, followed by a full schedule of year end award show performances. Wheein went on hiatus for the first half of 2020 while the other members concentrated on solo projects. Until MMM released the Travel EP in Nov '20 she only recorded a couple of features on songs by other artists and two OST ballads (With My Tears & Shine On You, both masterpieces). Since leaving RBW in 2021 she has clearly been happier and more confident and relaxed in public and I no longer worry about her mental health. I don't mean to blame RBW for her mental health issues, btw. I don't recall hearing her get specific about the reasons for her changes and growth as a person in the last few years but I think the main thing she's accomplished since leaving RBW has been to find a good balance between her personal and professional life. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually learn that one of the changes is that she's in a stable LTR. As far as I can tell Wheein doesn't hang out with other idols and seems to have a small group of close friends who aren't celebrities. It would make sense if she's been more confident in her professional life as a result of feeling more grounded and secure in her personal life because of the love and support of a special person and some really good friends. 😂

    I was lucky enough to see them live from floor seats and to meet them at their last stop in the USA. They are LITERALLY some of the most sweet people ever! Truly was an experience that every moomoo needs to experience. I haven’t see the movie yet, but I am going this Saturday to go watch it. Was lucky enough to find it playing in my hometown.

    Mamamoo song Love you too was dedicated to all Moomoos and they respond with their love for Mamamoo with the airplanes (with notes of encouragement, love) that made them cry when they read it on stage!!😭😭

    The movie is absolutely great. Unfortunately, I couldn't see Mamamoo live in concert so the film was the best opportunity for me to be part of the incredible live concert atmosphere. I can highly recommend the film and hope that it will be available on DVD/Blu-ray or via stream.

    Went to see the movie, plus I did see them live on tour. Thing about the movie is, they should've had subtitles on the songs too! The lyrics would've given so much more context to the movie as a whole but also, Mamamoo just love to adlibs in the middle of performances and it would've definitely been lost on anyone non-korean speaking or unfamiliar with the original songs!

    Oh man, the LA concert still feels like a lucid dream. The fact rhat a concert happened felt like a miracle. Around 2021 when th contracts were up, they REALLLYYY made us moomoos feel like it was disbandment time. With WAW being such an emotional reflective song, to mumumunch and its album releasing making it seem like a final album release. To wheein looking more and more tired (wheein has always been transparent that she wasnt sure idol life was for her, and being a celebrity was burdening). It was a somber time, and i had NEVER loved/stanned a group before. Ive never been to a kpop concert and never planned to. Then! Bam! They renewed contracts and wheein found a way to continue promotions as ot4. It was a joyous occasion. But.... As the years passed we didnt get any sign of a US concert. Then BAM all of a sudden 2-3 months before hwasa's contract was up they announced a US tour and you bet your ass i HAD to go. I had to basically admit to my sister i was an omega moomoo just so i could have someone come with me lol. She was majorly shocked cause im not the type to spend money on these kinds of things, let alone a kpop concert. I remember feeling legit anxiety and nervousness the day of the concert. I spent 8 years reading about how mamamoo concerts are the best, but never got to witness it.... That is, until june 4th... And they didnt dissapoint me at all. And now ive officially converted my sister into a full blown armymoo 😂

      lololol this was me too!!! I convinced my friend to come with me like 2 months before the LA concert.... and now she's a full blown moomoo collecting albums 😂 We're gonna go see the movie this Saturday with other fans we met at the concert. MMM fandom is so wholesome! 🥹

      Wheein reminds me of D.O from Exo. He also said the idol life was not really for him. They love to sing and perform but the idol life, I feel they could do without. Both are opening up more though as time goes by😀🙂

      It’s crazy how I saw so many people on social media say seeing mamamoo in the U.S was their first kpop concert.
      In the Atlanta date mamamoo asked the crowd who was there who didn’t know mamamoo and a big portion screamed which surprised them. It was so cool to see!

    Hello Konni, I also went to the cinema to see them last night and it was amazing.
    One of the things that set them apart from the rest of the kpop groups is their creativity independence. Since RBW entertainment didn't had any money (Mamamoo is their 1st group) they opt to teach them singing, dancing, makeup choreography, clothing, composition, etc
    So, they truly are a self made group, with zero budget and zero privilege. They began performing at malls and universities. We fans regret the lack of subtitles on most of their presentations and videos
    Later on they would travel around Asia without bodyguards and they had been overworked most of their slow ascension.
    Hate and envy has been one of the things they have demolished based on purely real talent
    Welcome to Mmm's amazing Ride

    Yes, you should be jealous as I went to their Seoul concert and watched the movie. Haha😂 their live performances is no joke. They slay every minutes of it. And for the plane that fans throw to the stage, is a paper plane where moomoo wrote their msg to Mamamoo, so the girls just feel emotional and that song is Solar wrote to their fans call star wind flower and sun, and another song call I Love you Too. You definitely need to check out their solo song too. ❤❤❤. As you know they are crack head too, they will keep making jokes and talk of how appreciate they are to the fans. Their concert last for almost 3 hrs, non-stop. Their record, the longest concert duration is 4 hrs. Mamamoo will continue, this is what the girls promise their fans but they wouldn’t appear as much as they used to cause different agency already. We believe in Mamamoo. Never letting go

    Hwasa has left RBW and now is in P Nation. Wheeins exclusive contract ends at the end of the year. Solar has mentioned how it will be difficult to have a group project. Hwasa and Wheein will concentrate on Solos. I do think Mamamoo+ will do more projects as a duo. Moomoos will still support any group or solo activities. It is bittersweet because a few 3rd gen groups, in my case Mamamoo and Exo, are at a cross road. We would love the groups to stay together for ever but realize that they also very well deserve to branch out more with solo activities. They will still be amazing.

    • @josephkim3542
      @josephkim3542 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Ya unfortunately, with hwasa leaving, we officially will see an accelerated decline in OT4 activities. We had already got much less for the last year, but we are heading into mamamoos 10th year (99% of groups usually disband years before this milestone) and even the mighty SNSD had dropped in activities during this part of their career. I think it's natural, that they are officially coming into their full artists versions and shedding whatever kpop idol skin they have left. I TRULY in my heart believe we will see OT4 again here and there, but like solar said, it's gonna be REALLY hard to matchup schedules.

      Also re: paper airplanes - I'm fairly certain it's a throwback to one of the first few fan events that moomoos organized for mmm when they were early in the career and relatively unknown. The song "I Love Too(Never Letting Go)" is a song mmm wrote for the fans and "Never letting go" became the unofficial official moomoo slogan.

    • @blah587
      @blah587 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's definitely more nuance and detail, but that's the gist of it. There's a music video from their 2016 concert of "I Love Too" that kinda shows the emotional nature of it? Ish.

    • @blah587
      @blah587 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you go back far enough in the moomoo archives, there's a video from one of their nugu performances where the fans surprise mmm with banners that say "never letting go", which inspired the whole thing...but definitely do your own research. I can't remember very clearly 😅

    Mamamoo are monsters on the stage. I do not know how other kpop groups do things, but they look like they feed off the audience. There were some performances during Covid where there was no audience, and I did not think they had the same energy. I am not sure about hwasa, she always seems to be confident on stage, but wheein does have anxiety, or mental issues around people. I have not seen the movie, but I look forward to seeing what they are saying. The solo swap was a big surprise when they first did it. I still think it’s a chad move by them.
    Wheein and hwasa no longer have contracts with rbw. However, they still say mamamoo is the four of them. I am sure we have not heard the last of them. I am in Seoul right now… kpop stalking is not on my list of things to do, but I am very jealous of the jambaroo scouts who get to see mamamoo tonight. I wish I could get into that stadium.

    So glad you got to see the movie! I was lucky enough to see them live in Atlanta and the concert was amazing! The girls were fantastic! Their stage presence is unbelievable and their crowd interaction was *chefs kiss*. I’m still convinced Wheein made eye contact and waved at me lol.
    I got into kpop rather recently and then discovered the group like a month before their US tour. I will be forever grateful I learned about it then in time to see them live!
    They announced at every stop that Mamamoo will continue and hinted that they were working on a new album so I’m hopeful maybe after the unit and solo releases they’ll have a group album on the works, but we’ll see.

  • @mmm_9025

    I havent seen the movie yet, coz its not showing in cinemas where I am from but Mamamoo was supposed to start their world tour in 2020 but the Rona showed up, so they were a bit apprehensive at the start of their US tour coz they dont know what to expect. But Moomoos and casual kpop listeners showed up and really hyped them up from start to finish of their US tour.💚
    You have to attend at least 1 Mamamoo concert coz you will have all your money’s worth. Also all throughout their Asia and US tour they have been constantly telling Moomoos “Mamamoo will continue”. Moomoos is really a blessed bunch coz of the number of contente Mamamoo members have been releasing be it group comebacks, solo and unit contents. They have said they cannot release group comebacks as frequent as before but they would find ways. Just yesterday they performed as a group on a kpop live concert event for the world scouts. Also Wheein and Hwasa’s label also give support for Mamamoo’s group activities. These talented ladies are family and have that special bond between them.💚😊

    I was so very lucky because I got to see Mamamoo live in Atlanta. My husband went with me, and he heard them a few times before that, and after the concert he considers himself a "Baby Moo"! He LOVED them! He was so impressed with them, and how amazing they were live (which I knew they were going to be).
    For myself, I cried through the first 2 songs, because I just couldn't believe this dream was coming true, and that they were actually in front of me. My husband just kept smiling at me, because I tried to stop crying, but I just couldn't, after I was able to stop I just screamed, and sang, and had the time of my life! Mamamoo is the best concert I've ever been too! I ADORE them sooo much!
    I loved all of the songs ( I knew all of them), they cut an hour from the US set list, so that sucked for us, but the US MooMoos were happy to get what we got! I'm hoping to be able to see the movie this Saturday!
    Enjoy the videos! I can't wait to see your next Mamamoo reaction!

    I know that I had bashed this movie a few weeks back. Blaming particularly the company. But.... may I suggest an alternative?? You can watch on your own time or you can actually do a reaction to it. I recommend the MAMAMOO 4 seasons concert. It is actually on TH-cam in its entirety and I do mean it. This concert is over 4 hours long. Enjoyed it way more than Mycon. The editing and audio was done right. I honestly don't know how they did it... like 4hrs??? C'mon. They are truly one of the best groups of all time! Do a review on this, then compare the two and tell us how you honestly feel. BTW HWASA is out with her newest hit , I love my Body.

  • @joeprime1164
    @joeprime1164 ปีที่แล้ว

    The MyCon movie wasn't the greatest. The sound quality was not good and the editing was terrible. They kept cutting shots every second and I felt they cut into Hwasa the most when it was her moment to shine. Moonbyul 2nd. Hwasa is the most charismatic on stage. Solar has become just as good in that regard. I went to see them in NYC. They both sell their performance at all times. Moon and Wheein look to focus more on the routine, which is shocking, knowing that they are recognized as best dancers. But they never disappointed when they knew it was their time. Wheenin was more engaged in the Movie. But I did understand the group was tired from the jetlag, with NY being the first stop on the tour. They still killed it in NYC

      I agree that the movie quality was not the best. The part that bothered me the most were the transitions from the concert to behind the scenes shots.
      I went to the Atlanta show and I could see they were still struggling with jet lag. After the Nashville date they were enjoying themselves more and letting loose so I wish I could have went to another date.

      @@ElenyM I knew that these girls contracts were coming up and RBW is a terrible company. With that and the age if this group, they are almost 10years in from their debut. It is a miracle when any KPOP group stays together that long. I wasn't going to miss this tour for ANYTHING! They are phenomenal 😍!
