Most things can grow in Mediterranean climate it is often said but obviously not well sometimes-if you make a greenhouse for warmer stuff tropical things that could be interesting but hugely time consuming obviously-anyway I hope you can travel too-I just visited Florida in the USA from the mountains in North Carolina and probably will spend more time there where many of my relatives lived before I was born and even some more distant relatives were born in Florida which used to be unusual because it was until recently a place where people just vacationed and retired I suppose… I may visit Sleepy Lizard Avocado Farm and you could obviously visit him and similar TH-cam creators closer to you who have greenhouses etc too!Good luck!!🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬☮️💟😍😘🥰🌞🗽♾🤯🤩🌱🌱🌱…
I was just talking climate change with someone yes a more depressing topic is plant etc responses to sea level rise etc - Florida is unfortunate due to limestone allowing water to seep under the type of dikes etc that The Netherlands and elsewhere use🥵
Yes you're right many plants have more trouble because of the lack of water, it gets so dry here in the summer. I have planted an avocado tree and for the moment it's still alive and seems to be adapting to the climate pretty well (lost its leaves a few times). However my Kiwis did not have such a happy ending... so yeah it's very harsh for plants demanding for a lot of water... But I don't think we need tropical plants, here there are some amazing plants that are edible and medicinal and ask for no care. I'm discovering all these incredible plants and their uses that I never suspected before!!! Florida sounds exciting, nice and humid climate. The flora must be incredible there! When are you planning to go back? 🤗🥰
@@wildfidelia I’m planning to be there for the coldest Northern Hemisphere months! In the USA we have a harvest festival or whatever called Thanksgiving we celebrate after Canada in late November so by then is the plan for now

Nice job! :) I have one suggestion for you. There is a plant in Medditereania grows mostly in stones, close to mountain paths, and when you touch it , it smells like asphalt. What is it?!

@@wildfidelia Yup! This is it. As a gardener i was absolutly suprised when during hiking around Rognes I smell asphalt and found out that its coming from plant! Thank You 🥰
