I don’t know about the games building mechanics but The level of detail is incredible, like entering npc’s houses that designed by the developers in most games

It's really hard to collect a lot of books, so I used a "Secret Bookshelf Door " for the bookshelf by the bed. The number of bookshelves has been reduced with updates, but it was really hard at first.

Bought it just for the building mechanics because videos like this inspired me. Turns out there's no real way to just do that. I never made it past the first couple missions, didn't get to build a single house. The enemies are damn near unkillable and you die in one hit. Requested a refund nearly immediately. I might look back into it if they add a "creative mode" or something similar.
It's true that you can't get more building materials unless you progress through the game to a certain extent and do quests, so it may be difficult to start building right away. It's still an early access game, so I hope creative mode will be implemented soon😊
This is one of the reasons why I never play these games anymore. I have spent hours trying to make things look good, but then I see videos like this that makes my creations seem amateurish in comparison. It feels like I am just wasting my time creating something mediocre. I know that comparison is the theft of happiness, that one should not try to compare to others. But when it comes to things like this, it is impossible for me not to feel like the things i make can never truly reach the same level of artistic brilliance.
Not all comparisons are bad. When we need to achieve some goals, we need comparison to know how far our progress is. Comparison also good for inspiration.

This is so beautiful! I might have to break my no Early Access rule for this game. Looks like a base building dream come true. 100% my style, this overgrown look. I'm in awe at all the decorations in this game. Would totally want to live in your house. Just gorgeous! Are bases persistent? Will the terrain regrow like it does in No Man's Sky unfortunately? Sorry for the ignorant questions. I worry the most about losing all my progress to updates when a game is in EA, one of the many reasons I don't want to buy unfinished games. But damn, the more amazing bases I see the more I want to build my own.

Sorry, I didn't answer your question. The area of the base does not regenerate, but other than that, both the resources and the terrain regenerate when you restart. I don't know yet if the Early Access will reset the map at the end of the day, but I will keep building because I know you will enjoy building again even if it disappears😄

How is building in this game? More specifically, other games where building is a big deal, it usually ends up lagging out. Exiles, Ark, etc. Can never build what I'd like to before the engine shits itself. I have a very high-end gaming rig so it's not on my end. Is it possible to build a lot in Enshrouded, without it becoming unplayable due to low fps?
I don't do any large-scale construction, so I don't know if this will be helpful, but I didn't notice any lag in single play. However, it seems that it takes a long time to load when playing multiplayer.
