Looking at UnRaid raid software on a MacPro 4,1 from eBay £99. Overview of the experience. The aim to replace a Drobo. Does it replace a Drobo?

Please try merging your stereo audio to mono eg. using only your left audio track for both sides.
I think it's the echo in your room that kinda wiggles between both tracks that makes it hard to listen to you with both ears.
Otherwise nice and detailed. I hope you figure out your samba issues on mac.

FYI you can not backup your usb stick to save your license! the license is tire3d to the stick itself. MyUnraid service has a USB stick backup and a license management tool.

This is partially correct. You can back up the stick so you don't lose your configuration and if the drive breaks you can move your license over to a new one.
Search for "Unraid Changing the flash device" to get the wiki entry about it.

You need to bless your boot device to boot automatically.
