My mother in law bought that exact same knife and brand new it couldn't cut paper. It was the worst cutting experience I have ever had any kitchen ever. The entire time you were cutting I was afraid you were gonna cut your finger.
The best part about a lot of the recipes we use is that you can interchange ingredients to suit your personal preferences! We’ve never tried maple sugar, it’s not very common here in Aus unfortunately
Easy to make following video. Lovely lime marmalade, though used half the amount of sugar, added 1 large lemon, and cooked slightly less time. Set really well. Used quite ripe limes.
Hi Thank you Just was i was looking for- an easy recipe. I wonder, did it come out thick enough or am i better off adding a pack of pectin? Also , can i use the recipe for lemons as well? Ty!
Thank you, i have a Lime tree thats bursting at the seems lol but i will definitely make this recipe it is basically quick & easy & very little mess thks again.
Hi! Thank you for recipe..is this ok ...no bitter taste ? I have tried with sweet lime..it was so bitter after removing white part of fruit ..please advise ..
Hiya! We have not had any trouble with bitterness in any of our marmalades. We used Tahitian Lime in ours, which are a hybrid lime and tend to be one of the sweeter varieties. Perhaps take a look at the variety of fruit you are using and go from there 🙂
Hi Emma and Brad, thank you for this complete and easy recipe. Time laps is just hypnotic. Oo. One point though : to avoid any sugar misdosing, what is the capacity of your measuring cup ?
Hi! I followed wwhat's on the video but the lime rind is tough (hard and can't even bite it). What should I do to prevent this? Boil the limes longer? I've seen other videos say boil for 4 hours, others at 2 hours before adding sugar.
Letting them cook for longer should help with that. Depending on how much longer you let them cook down for and how big a batch you’re doing you may need to add a tad more water. Try taking a spoonful of the marmalade out and letting it cook on a plate and trying it when your allotted cooking time is up to see if the rind has cooked down enough to your liking :)
Making this as I type. So easy. My limes are sweet anyway, so I only added half the sugar. It's tasting so yum with a very slight tartness to it. Just the way I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Made this last week it was yum .
❤❤❤ will try thankz
Bula from Fiji, can I use brown sugar instead of white sugar ?
Why start with kilos and litres then go to cups of sugar ?
Think things through

It’s a cheese knife
Maple sugar is better

If you get a mandolin slicer it will make slicing citrus for marmalade crazy quick and easy. Perfect thin slices, lickety split😉
We love keeping an eye out in 2nd hand stores and garage sales for utensils and gadgets like this. Great suggestion!
I followed the directions and my marmalade burnt
Thanks for taking the time and effort to post this. I'm inspired to try a batch!

Great video and recipe! What is the shelf life for opened and unopened jars?
I love marmalade!!!! 🥰🥰
Me too! 🙋♀️

from beautiful lime green ....to ugly brown, overcooked sugar ...what happened ?
I was wondering the same thing about the colour. Put me off trying his method to be honest.
What happened is… they cooked 🤣 and we don’t use artificial colourants in our preserves. Not all fruit and veg stay vibrant colours when cooked
Hey, chef, I want to ask, is the marmalade thick like jam or little bit watery?
It should be thick :)

Good call! We use a 250mL capacity measuring cup here :)
Thanks will try it

Hello :D
Hi James! 👋👩💻
You make it look so easy
I want to try to make it, but is there still a bitter taste from the lime peel left in the marmalade?
Yes marmalade is usually quite bitter
