    best banana bread. 8 over ripe bananas, 1 cup of oil, 1 cup white and brown sugar each, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons baking powder, 3-4 cups of flour, 1 cup walnuts, 1 cup chocolate chips(optional). Mix everything with a potato masher, place into muffin pans or tube pan, bake for 35 min at 375. Let cool and slice. This freezes well, no dairy, no eggs, nor milk.

    Hi, I would like to share a tip with you to make life for you easier.
    Whenever you're out of breadcrumbs toast bread in the oven and then use your blender to grind them down. Make this beforehand and store in a zip lock bag . Another alternative is to soak bread in milk and use it in mince, your broccoli patties etc Very efficient and saves you all that with having to grate frozen bread. All the best 🙂

    You could really benefit from purchasing a “vacuum meal saver” machine. Your foods will taste fresh as the day you bought them even a year or two later in your deep freezers. Also, you can peel your bananas, wrap each in plastic wrap & then fill up a ziplock freezer bag.

    Nice job organizing your freezer and making so many delicious looking meals from it! >>>Jam has the fruit left in it. The fruit in jelly is strained out of it.>>> I might make a breakfast casserole with the bag of zucchini and summer squash or perhaps a frittata or quiche., pasta sauce/topping with pesto... or even a soup.

    My mom made both jam and jelly… she called it jelly when she strained just the juice, jam includes the fruit pulp. I don’t know if that’s right but that’s what we learned!

    If you pop the croissants in the oven at 350 for about 10 min it will crisp them up and they turn out good as new. Flaky not tough and chewy out of freezer. Any day old bakery item will benefit.

    Jam uses the whole fruit, whereas jelly involves straining the pulp and seeds. My freezer has a ton of bananas, too😅

    • @mexicancookingwithgaby6589
      @mexicancookingwithgaby6589  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They don't turn brown but they do get mushy, are perfect for guacamole! Thanks for watching.

    Oh wow had no idea you could freeze a whole alvacado like that! When they are in season I will definitely stock up and freeze a bunch for now on.
    How do you thaw them out (set on counter top or in fridge to thaw)?
    Can use them same as you would a fresh (like for guacamole and such)?

    • @mexicancookingwithgaby6589
      @mexicancookingwithgaby6589  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Omg you have 3 freezes, ok so. That’s one way of saving money, but in reality most of us have 1 or 2, ok time to shop for a freezer. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

      Well I have 1 big one and 2 from my fridges. 😆 but having a freezer, I have to say has been the best investment. It's amazing how much money you save. And in reality you don't spend a lot on electricity.so it's a win win. Thanks for watching

    Date everything in your freezer so you will know when foods are no longer good use date purchased and opened . I wouldnt save meat beyond 3 months and bread does not store long it gets stale in the freezer. Is a good habit to date containers and put the name of the food on the containers . Not everything lasts long in containers in the freezer. Safety with food in the fridge when you have alot of food is important. At the least just date items and rotate and use by date to use up foods and to avoid spoiled foods and freezer burn. Plus this avoids buying too many of the same thing. .

    The difference between jam and jelly is the jam uses nothing but fruit and natural things you don't put any preservatives or additives in it and jelly you use gelatin to
