That must be a blast to play with the make shift wheel set up! I've always loved the ones you've rigged up over the years. Haha, I couldn't quite tell what was going on there at the end of that one race, sheer chaos and madness! I love that, it's sometimes what makes old school arcade games hilarious, unpredictable, and just pure fun! It appeared as though the red truck in front of you had a clear path to victory, then inexplicably swerved and lost control, hit a tree just off the right hand side of the road, you passed him, and it seemed as though you had the race, then some force of otherworldly, cheap computer AI, made the car just rocket boost by you at the end to cross the line first, but then the game didn't really say who won at the end, and showered your car with confetti I think, hahaha, so I guess it will remain a mystery for all times, lol, gave me a chuckle that entire sequence of events, lol. Happy Holidays Luke, hope you have a great Christmas my friend!
Hey David, haha, you have no Idea how difficult it was to put a spinner and pot setup in the same steering wheel lol. This game was unfair for sure haha but what can you do. Thanks as always bro and hopefully you have a Happy Holiday as well and enjoy the events up until and after the New Year! Ill post some more vids here between now and then :)
Always enjoyed these parallax scrolling games. By far my favorite when I was younger was the 2 player cabinet of Outrunners at the local arcade. Happy Holidays Luke :-)
I would agree with that. I think the outrunner/ outrun games are a bit more fun but Ill put up some more driving games here in a little bit :) Happy Holidays back at you!
Thanks a lot Brady. Im glad you enjoy the vids. low budget, low quality, and anything else you can think of but I like doing them from time to time. I always appreciate the support and have a good one!
haha, Im off by a bit here for Christmas and nothing super special planned but Ill probably put up a couple more videos between now and then. Thanks a lot man!
Hey there man! and Howdy back as usual :) Trying to do some fun stuff here and enjoy the Holiday season as much as possible. Thanks as always bro and have a Merry Christmas and happy holiday to you as well!
Rival rubberbanding I'd guess is quite common. I remember a few years ago people confirming that in F-Zero. They cheat themselves halfway across the track, CPU does it too. :P
Sir, I greatly appreciate all you've done with vintage arcade restorations, would you happen to have Psycho-Nics Oscar? It was my favorite upright arcade machine.
Double axle, to me looks like the epitome of quarter stealer, I saw how those trees just spawned inaccurately just to limit your time forcing the requirement of another set of quarters.
Thanks a lot. I try what I can with these boards to give them a little more life. I dont have Psycho-Nics Oscar unfortunately but maybe someday. thanks again
Thanks for that. I love the racing games but also 2D platformers and hack and slash games myself. Those really make up most of my collection. Cadash is a good one but takes some time.
So many arcade driving games almost inaccessible to most. :( Trouble finding a real machine to play, nor having the resources to build a home collection, leaving many to only play in MAME but analog is a real killer in that too I hear.
Yeah, a lot of these boards are emulated in Mame nowadays so it is much easier to play than taking the time to wire everything up. Im a bit crazy that way though.
Came across your videos about Double Axle after attempting some repairs on a cabinet I bought recently. After watching this one I kept thinking that the gameplay looked nothing like mine, I learned apparently there are two versions of this board for North America that are very different gameplay-wise. I noticed you had the manual for yours, does your version support the reverse gear also?
Hey Damien, Yes, I have that game. I have never put up a video on it though, in fact, I dont know if I have ever tested it out. I put up a video on Club Kart for the Naomi but yeah, maybe I should try the other one out too lol
Yeah, there are some parts that jump around on screen and just seem to cut out and reappear in others. I know it is partially due to the limitations of the hardware and the design flaws but interesting to see how Taito tried something new. Thanks for watching
I'm always so happy whenever I see a video from you Luke. Makes my day every time.
lol, thanks for that, I really appreciate it. Glad the videos still serve some kind of purpose

Hey Luke! Love your videos! Glad to see you're still uploading
Thanks a lot Brady. Im glad you enjoy the vids. low budget, low quality, and anything else you can think of but I like doing them from time to time. I always appreciate the support and have a good one!
@@lukemorse1 same to you man! Im glad to be subscribed to your channel still. Thank you too!
cool monitor setup you got there! it works!
Thanks Reynard. its low budget and just putting stuff together so that it is playable but works for the time being
I remember playing this when I was 7 or 8... really takes me back!
Good ol Taito! They had some great games.
back in the day for sure lol
The sprite scaling racing games have a charm of their own, for sure. Looks fun!
yeah, it was something Taito messed around with and it was neat for its time I think
Love the sprite scaling in this game. A classic.
For sure Mark, it is one of those old ones but classic
Always nice to see these older games.
You know me man, always trying to revive these old boards to get them up and running again. hope you are doing well.
Good ole back again Luke welcome back man! ;)
Still around but just putting up a video every once in a while now. I appreciate the support though, thanks a lot :)
this one looks hella fun, especially if it was head to head live in an arcade!
Its pretty neat. It is definitely one that would be better suited for head to head though
was waitin' for ur Christmas time upload. cool brotherman
haha, Im off by a bit here for Christmas and nothing super special planned but Ill probably put up a couple more videos between now and then. Thanks a lot man!
Thanks for sharing Luke 😃
any time....or when I have time lol. thanks as always!
I loved playing this game!
a classic from the past for sure :)
A game that cost me a fortune back in the day! We are getting seriously old I guess...... but the will of the old school gamer is stronger!
haha, for sure. Just giving these boards a bit more of a shot while they still operate and keeping them out of the garbage. repairing the retro
Howdy from Texas 😁, nothing like some monster truck action. Hope your Holidays are awesome and I wanted to wish you a happy Christmas Brother ✌️⛄🎄❄️
Hey there man! and Howdy back as usual :) Trying to do some fun stuff here and enjoy the Holiday season as much as possible. Thanks as always bro and have a Merry Christmas and happy holiday to you as well!
don't think I really played this one, may have to look it up in mame! always cool to see new uploads, they're always a fun watch!
Thanks man, yeah, just some old Taito classics here but Ill be putting up a couple more when I get them wired up. thanks as always!
Nice play🎄
Thanks man, just messing around here :)
Rival rubberbanding I'd guess is quite common. I remember a few years ago people confirming that in F-Zero. They cheat themselves halfway across the track, CPU does it too. :P
Yeah, just waaaaay too unfair. I mean hard is hard but this was just evil

I love your arcade racing games dude. Are you a fan of anything else genre wise? I’m only arcade style/length games. Never played a rpg because ADHD.
Thanks for that. I love the racing games but also 2D platformers and hack and slash games myself. Those really make up most of my collection. Cadash is a good one but takes some time.

En donde se podría volver a jugar?
hey luke did u have club kart prize
Hey Damien, Yes, I have that game. I have never put up a video on it though, in fact, I dont know if I have ever tested it out. I put up a video on Club Kart for the Naomi but yeah, maybe I should try the other one out too lol
@@lukemorse1 you should do a video on club kart prize its just the same name as club kart european session but you collect virtual money
Well, what do you know... I always thought the rendering in Mame was a bit broken, but this game is really that ugly in places.
Yeah, there are some parts that jump around on screen and just seem to cut out and reappear in others. I know it is partially due to the limitations of the hardware and the design flaws but interesting to see how Taito tried something new. Thanks for watching
@@lukemorse1 Definitely going to give it go!
Might the computer player cheat.
