I loved to make things for my daughter. This was my happy place, giving to her my cooking in love. My daughter brought me a KitchenAid mixer to make things easier as I baked. Shortly after that COVID struck and she became a victim of that deadly disease. The KitchenAid mixer remained in a box as I no longer had joy and the sadness took away any desire to bake. I watched your video today and suddenly I want to bake again. I love my daughter and I enjoyed baking for her. I'm going to pull out that KitchenAid mixer and in the memory of my daughter I will make this pound cake. Thank you for helping me to feel the joy of baking again.
My daughter in law baked this cake a few weeks ago and shared it with us. It was the most delicious cake I’ve ever had. It sliced so nicely, very little crumbs. My husband and I enjoyed it with our morning coffee several days and it never dried out.

Chef Jeffrey! All I can say is wow i ate a slice this morning for breakfast, the cake is perfectly moist with a fine crumb. I notice that it's not crumbly like some pound cakes... I can tell that it will say moist 3 to 5 days. As long as its sealed tight in your cake saver!
We loved this cake and wanna make a dessert suggestion called Watergate salad!❤ It takes cool whip, crushed pineapples, vanilla pudding and marshmallows! Sometimes pistachios!

Chef thank you for giving me a hand with this pound cake. It was so tasty and it went great with my Resurrection Sunday meal today. LOL, I will say this…never made it to the hour lol. Around 55 minutes it started getting a little dark on the outside so I quickly took her out and she was completely done. Next time I’ll leave it in the oven for 50 minutes instead 😊 Thank you much💕

Its a refrigerator cake which is not baked. It has a graham cracker crust. The cake mixture is sugar, 2 eggs and 2 sticks of butter. I whipped cake mixture for 15 min. Put it on top of graham cracker crust. Then layered it with bananas, crushed pineapple, drizzled hot fudge, whip cream. Garnish with fine walnuts and maraschino cherries 🍒. Being that this cake is not baked and has 2 eggs in it can raw eggs make people sick? This is a refrigerator type cake. I never thought about it till someone enquired about the eggs. Help me Chef!!!!

The ingredients for my 2nd Mother Johnnie Ruth pound cake in the last two weeks are on the counter right now!!Room temp ingredients are key and WHIP THAT BUTTER good. I shared the last cake with everyone; family and coworkers. Everybody said it was amazing! This one is mainly for me! 😜 😂 ps the recipe is delicious, pure perfection as written, but I added just 1/2 tsp of almond extract and dang near bit my own finger.

She had Major back surgery a couple of weeks ago. Will be under awhile. She's amazingly healing good for having major surgery. She does not teach 1st grade education any more but she still works for the same school but is a curriculum coordinator. Been working in her home since hurting her back. She will be taking about 6 weeks of PT.
