Been trying to get curls for 4 years, i was about 10 when i found interesting 4 years passed and i had basically given up after method and method, but then i came across this and gave it a go since i already had starter locs (finger coils) in and decided to unravel them the way you did, then i shook my hair and saw the result, real curls, thank you so much.
“I’m tryna hit 10k tomorrow”😂 you’ll be surprised cause you’ll get there! Bless you, you’re cute and the hairstyle is nice ! I think the reason why it’s puffy at the roots is because you didn’t twirl it tight enough and when you separated them, you didn’t re-twirl them so it could be more defined.

@@charlesspates3844 it came out good. Don’t use a lot of product because it will cause residue. I added oil to my sons hair before applying the cream. I don’t recommend the conditioner with water either, I mix peppermint oil and tea tree oil in a spray bottle and he used that instead.

Is it a good idea to get these the day of getting a protective style out? I know you're supposed to give your scalp at least a week break but I didn't want my hair in a huge afro so I was going to have coils in then get it braided again.

@@adamthemulch that method won't work for his hair, it will puff up and shrink due to the water in the product. Id suggest a twist out with the L.C.O method. My hair is 4c, I would know. Ive done this and got beautiful results that last for a week. I wouldn't suggest the shingling method either due to too much use of gel, it makes your hair dirty and it doesn't last as long as a twist out
@@pmerancier @Pharah M i tried it on my hair it hangs but once it dries it do be shrinking but juwan gaines has type 4 hair and his hangs when he does,. I do notice my scalp feeling a little dirty mid week from the gel. i tried diffusing but I'm not sure if that helped

If you want them to stay longer you can also use eco gel, but since you took it out the next day it wouldn’t have made sense I guess. Great video tho man

i have a longer hair so i tie it in 6 sections 3 on each side front middle and back :)
i normally dont twist out, i just get in the shower and rinse a little and shake my head
then put on gel

finger coils or twist out? I don’t really know the difference between the two
A finger coil is a type of twist out. It’s a single strand twist out. Both enhance curl definition but give two different looks. Finger coils give you tight ringlets. While twist outs give your coils crinkly spirals. Hope that helps

Air Dry, but I use products and coil my hair while it’s wet

Hey bro I love your vids and You have 4B/4C hair you can tell and you not fully 4C yes it's okay to be born with more then one curl pattern.
Most people have multiple (at least 2) curl patterns on their head. I’m 3c/4a, but probably more 4a tbh.
