I liked this when I played it at BGG Con. It feels like a Feld, several interesting mechanisms, loosely connected and whoever figures out the best way to turn all those mechanisms into victory points will be the winner.

I'm really glad Tom gave this a great review - it's gone completely under the radar, and it deserves attention. If Tom likes a Euro that's thin on theme, you know the mechanisms have to be great! As the review says, the decisions about whether to build up or break down your engine are agonizing in the best possible way.

I love this game; I feel like it got overlooked by most people, but it was definitely one of my favorites from last year! Glad you liked it, too, Tom. Hope your seal of approval gives this gem some momentum and a well deserved popularity boost

Played it, bought it. I think this is one of those euro style games that hits the right spot between good choice options for players against fun and play time. Good balance overall.

love the hat. I like the full beard over the Amish look.

I really like this game and Tom's point about loving games that offer A LOT of great options every turn is something I've always thought too.
So, how about a Top 10 Games That Offer Lots of Options
or Top 10 Games That Offer A Lot of Variety.
I'd be interested in that category of games.
Although, that may just be another way of saying good worker placement games.

Hah, Anachrony is a good traveling game. Although I might get an anomaly for this comment...

Tom, just curious what keeps this game from making it into your collection. I love euros, but I'm on the fence with this one.

Is it me or does anyone else think Tom looks like a Leprechaun?

    The name is very uninspiring.
The name "steam time" is to this game what "Island wars" is to Cyclades or "racing cars" is to Formula D

+HarfangX The bland name may be one reason no one's talking about this game. That and I don't think Kosmos promoted this much all.

+HarfangX I suspect it might be some crappy pun, trying to sound like (there's) "still time" or something like that

+HarfangX Now I want to do a compilation of bad names for great games
Fantasy Adventure - Legends of Andor
Survive the Zombies - Dead of Winter
      Viking Battles - Blood rage
      Egypt War - Kemet
Vampire Trap - Fury of Dracula
      Racing Contraptions - Steampunk Rally
Mars Mining - MIssion Red Planet
      Inquisition and Demon - Claustrophobia
Star Wars fights - Imperial Assault
