Got tired of all the hype coaches and i am so grateful to have found this video! For anyone looking for more i highly recommend the pistol pete videos! He covers ball handling, shooting and more!
Great material I wished I saw long ago ;) Isiah was my main basketball inspiration and hero. Living in Detroit and being there for the parades. I woke up early in the AM to practice as I was short (5'8). Just played on the street but still ;) I can't believe his finger tip dribbling. Man the memories, the games his and mine, now I am only a few years younger than Isiah and can't subject my body to it. Play with guys your own age. Hmm guess that would work ;(. Thanks Isiah for everything. Fun vid
What a piece of art! One can learn all you need to make a starter in pretty much any roster, and with that wonderful 90s music in the background. Zeke and the Bad Boys do not get they flowers they deserve. This is ball at its best!
Isiah is the only superstar in NBA history to go head to head with Jordan while Jordan was in his prime and beat him. He actually beat Jordan twice in a 7 game series.
@NFT Ligma Derrick Rose most Athletic Yes, most successful no. Meaning the game is played between your ears. Decision making starts with the brain, Isaiah Thomas smartest player great decision maker, undersized with full skills of game.
My name is Dennis King I am the highest jumper to ever step foot on this Earth... and that's the title to my book... I got my stomach to a 10 ft round back in 1993 in Bushnell Florida... I grew up watching the Pistons how was sad when Adrian Dantley and Vinnie Johnson bump their heads I was happy when we won the Championships and sad when we lost Eastern Conference Finals... I must say Isaiah Thomas is one smart intelligent person and he should have been on the Dream Team
This guy was a perfect blend of elegance and toughness inside the court, got two rings defeating Bird's Celtics, Jordan's Bulls and Magic's Lakers. One of the greatest for sure, unfortunately his riff with MJ left him out of the Dream Team but his legacy and accolades were legendary.
Pound for pound he might be the best ever. At 6'1" he could take a game over, in the old era of handchecking and hard fouls. Imagine if he had MJ's size.
@@supercatforever Primitive...Primitive my ass. This guy put 25 pts in a 4th quarter with a sprained ankle against the Showtime Lakers. So primitive, my ass. We all know MJ is the shit, but give credit where is due, homie.
He’S Wearing Nike Air Flight Turbulence. It Would Have Been Cooler If He Wore The Concord Version Of That Shoe. It Was My Alternative To The Air Jordan 11 In 1998 When The Aj11 Was No Longer Available.
To bad Isiah did not step to MJ and throw him a fundamental handshake😬. This was a break from coaching, discipline and education instilled by his mom, pender&coach knight. But, MJ stepped in as a parent&coach to personally teach Thomas a life lesson about being a good boy not a bad boy and good sportsmanship. The Piston Captain's leadership slight with Lambier and teammates, incensed Jordan. MJ declined to play with the Olympic team if Thomas was on the team. Although Thomas was considered but he was a Olympic sportsmanship public relations nightmare. Thomas's poor relationships with several others including Magic, Bird, Malone and MJ also gave the selection committee cause for non selection. Magic said in his book, basically no one wanted to play with Thomas. Thomas supposedly was a part of a "all star" group which plotted against Mike to limited Jordan ball touches. Mj caused a huge light to shine on the negatives of a Thomas selection. To this day, it haunts Isiah. Jordan as Thomas indicated ripped his bad boy and Piston flags from the small hill and threw the team into irrelevance. The Piston franchise has never recovered from their last Jordan Bulls team playoff harpooning. Isiah's admirable two peat is considered lightweight compared to Jordan's two three peats. 🤔 And, Thomas' dream of staying in competitive standing with Magic and Bird as a group was DESTROYED. BIRD has 4 rings and MAGIC has 5. Isiah made MJ so made and motivated he won 6 rings and could have possibly won more if not for team bungling by Krauss and Reinsdorf. All this to say, along with the fundamentals, Sportsmanship can also take one a looooong way. Isiah, Pass it on!
Why do you say nothing useful? Isiah is demonstrating footwork, balance, (dribbling, shooting, & passing) fundamentals among other useful tips all players should practice

Better than all IG basketball coaches that don't teach fundamentals they only want to look good in the camera.
One of the greatest players of all-time is a better coach than some clown on IG? No way!
Got tired of all the hype coaches and i am so grateful to have found this video! For anyone looking for more i highly recommend the pistol pete videos! He covers ball handling, shooting and more!
My favorite player period!
DITTO!!!
Pretty much
skills for days. today's guards palm and carry the ball like crazy and they never get called for it. hardly.
I remember our coach who played professionally in Asia used to let us watch this video! Hands down one the greatest PG who ever played in the NBA.
Up there with Magic and Iverson for me
SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE IN ONE HOUR ....THIS IS A KEEPER ....FACT
Just casually doing a flawless drum roll with two fingers on a basketball
ONE of the main reason I wanted to play basketball coming from Chicago, Besides Michael Jordan! ZEKE lives on baby!!
Same.
Toughest little man in the game ever with AI being number 2. Unbelievable handles with great court vision. I loved watching this man compete!

Really had full control when dribbling the ball amazing
This is why he is the greatest player pound for pound
Isaiah Thomas is one of the best guards of all time. I'm a long time San Antonio Spurs fan I like their style fundamental.
timeless lessons from the great one detroits Bad Boy
My biggest inspiration on life
I love the older players
Beat the bulls three times in a seven game series.
Thanks Isiah. As a hoosier, I learned a lot from you. So impressive.

Think you mean Joe Dumars (if you mean in terms of shutting down Jordan 1 on 1)
The jordan rules
Jeremiah Greenleaf But Isiah created the Jordan rules.
+MrADBrown92 THREE TIMES 88, 89, 90
jeffnfoxylady1 actually 4, in 87 too
The part on passing lanes was priceless!
Most athletic point guard ever. He wasn’t afraid to fail

D. Rose was just explosive. Tim Hardaway might have been the closest PG to Zeke had he played both sides of the ball.
His ball handling skills were incredible 😱
nice video, i will practice and study your moves isaiah thomas. nice upload
and he still has his skills no such thing as old man
Character, determination, values. Inspiration to all.

Isaiah is amazing!
People say he is better than mj
Jaylen Jackson He is better in speed, 3 point shooting, free throws, defense, steals and dribble
More skilled not better

Where are the other series of this show?
Too bad about the crazy muzak, wobbly cam and dated CGI. Other than that, just goes to show how the fundamentals will take you a long way.
