Say what you like about Edger not being around anymore. R.I.P. dear friend. But this version of White eagle is superior in every way to the original. This is the first time Tangerine dream has sounded breathtakingly good since 1982's Logos album.

Another classic track reduced to near elevator music by listless arrangement, sounds and performance. Tangerine Dream died a long time ago, around Livemiles 1988 but at the very latest, Tangerine Dream died when Edgar Froese died.
But bad ideas really should, and this appropriation of Tangerine Dream is a bad idea. This version of TD has its own fans, that's clear and there's nothing wrong with that per se. People like different things. But current TD is far removed from what used to be, and even Jerome Froese has stated that Tangerine Dream died with his father. I think this current TD is only riding on the fame and name of Tangerine Dream that used to be, and to me that doesn't feel right. They're but a bland simulacrum of Tangerine Dream in its prime, before the mid 80s. It's time to let Tangerine Dream die. One can still keep the memory of the dream alive. The music is still there.

@@MikaLatokartano i totally agree with you.TD died a long ago.somehow that X factor it had in thier earlier times is somehow not apparent in the recent TD.even the sound has changed a lot!Advanced gears yet npthing beats that earlier sound of TD.like you said,recent TD is definitely riding on its name.
I both agree and disagree with you . As they evolved , they tended to lose some " punch or life " in their recordings and to a degree in their performances , yet I find them to still be better than 95% of all the other electronic music out there . Its like my favorite bands from the 70's have aged and no longer sound as captivating as they once did , and I find that 40-50 years down the road its more a " nostalgic " trip , yet I still remain faithful . You have to expect TD to evolve ( now especially without Edgar , hell I still miss Schmoelling , Franke and even Haslinger ) , its band living off its past while trying to forge ahead . I'm sure some fans will be disappointed , while maybe new fans will be found . Count me as one who still enjoys closing my eyes and immersing myself into their electronic landscapes and travels to this day and hopefully for many more days to come .

Good but Thorsten should had keep Linda Spa, Iris Camaa and Bernard on the band. I will really miss that lineup.

If this was in 2017 it wasn't TD. Edgar Froese died Jan. 20, 2015...
But given that the main artist seems to be EF this must have been before 2015.
